A perfectly good little coffee shop tucked away in the back in the Dos Vientos neighborhood. As others noted it can be a little hard to find without directions but thankfully it's located in the main business/church area in this neighborhood that we found it after a quick little drive around.Honey Cup has multiple locations in Ventura County and this location is definitely peaceful and in the sleepier part of town. Great for sitting outside with your coffee to relax or catch up on some reading as it's quiet. The inside also wasn't super busy on a weekend morning so it's safe to say that you'll get a pretty nice experience given that it's not as busy as some of their other locations could be. The atmosphere is definitely a 5/5 in terms of cozy cute coffee shop vibes. I liked that they had a little bit of swag in the form of coffee cups and sweaters. The interior was cozy with leather couches and stools, also the high ceilings and mindful music volume made this a nice spot to sit inside.Service was friendly and thorough. You can either order at a screen or order up at the counter with a live person. I opted to order at the counter with a nice gentlemen as there was no line. He was friendly and efficient. No frills service but nice. I was impressed by the menu as they have a large drink and food selection. I also appreciated the more unique flavors like a honey lavender lemonade and jasmine plum mocha. I definitely want to come back to try these drinks, as I wasn't feeling too adventurous today.I went with a maple cinnamon latte and a Nutella pastry. My friend ordered a cold brew and a biscuit with strawberry jam. We had mixed reviews and liked the opposites of what we ordered. I like my pasty more than my friend liked her biscuit but she loved her cold brew where my latte was just okay. Nutella Pastry: 5/5 - the pastry was massive but oh so delicious. The pastry was buttery, flaky, and fresh. Loved the Nutella drizzle and chocolate chips, definitely a mega splurge but it was really good.Maple Cinnamon Latte: 3/5 - my latte was just okay. The flavor was mild but more than anything the latte was just too watered down for me. I would skip their lattes and go with something else. It was fine but not my favorite.Service & Ambiance: 4.5/5 - very cozy and comfortable inside. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the different seating arrangements and areas to sit inside and outside. A cute coffee shop and I would love to come back to try some more of their speciality drinks and breakfast items.

Such a beautiful coffee shop with a great amount of space and seating for a large group. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I got the iced brown sugar espresso with honey cold foam, and it was delicious!

Good coffee but very impersonal. No “welcome” or “hi” when you walk in and forced to order at a kiosk instead of talking to a human. I like to talk to a barista going places and that doesn’t happen here. The kid behind the counter doesn’t come out from the back until you’ve placed an order.

I finally got to stop by this coffee shop. I love the decor and the atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and my coffee was amazing. I got a vanilla late. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

TLDR: It's great! Perfect to catch up with friends, study, or work. Yes they charge extra for milk add-ins so be mindful of that. Food is great for the price, service is good - no complaints, plenty of outlets. Long version: I'm a little surprised by the most recent reviews. I had a really positive experience. Food and service: They do charge extra for milk items, I overheard a customer having this exchange with a staff member so just be weary of that. I thought the prices were actually really fair. I was ready to spend $15 on food but was pleasantly surprised that their egg sandwich was only $9.00 - the bacon is really good and thick too, they don't skimp out on the portion for a $9.00 egg sandwich. I did get a simple ice tea which was only $3.00 so I can't speak for the coffee itself. I really like how they have a variety of options - from baked pastries, hot foods, coffee/tea, AND ICE CREAM. What kind of place has all of that in the 805? not many. Service was good as well. I came around 10 am on a Wednesday so it was relatively quiet and had no issues being greeted and my order taken. Ambience: I loveeeeee the ambience. All the wood, open beams, and the music! I love lofi which is what they were playing the entire time. Very chill and tranquil. The inside mainly has sofas and armchairs with window tables by the entrance. Majority of seating is outside with plenty of shady spots. Another plus is OUTLETS AND WIFI. I came here to work and it was perfecttttt. Outlets were placed everywhere near a chair inside which is so rare these days and internet was a solid speed. Overall - I think I found my new work spot!!! Definitely coming back to try other items on their menu.

Probably the best cinnamon roll I’ve had in my life (sorry, mom). Perfectly flakey croissant base, just the right amount of cinnamon, a light drizzle of magic sauce, and heated to perfection. Paired with a chocolate chai milkshake, it was the perfect ending to our 16th anniversary.

I had some very nice iced coffee and something called the B.L.A.T., which is basically avocado toast with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Very nice. Matthew, who was running the place when we were there, was great. Very helpful and kind. He did everything. It's a very nice environment for coffee, some light food, and hanging out.
