Ordered the legendary Balboa Bar! It was busy but not overly crowded and there's plenty of community seating in the little shopping area. Service was quick and excellent. The bar was delicious and so fresh--it's also MASSIVE! They also don't skimp on the toppings so it can end up being pretty dense! Recommend sharing!

Cute little ice cream shop at the Fun Zone. They carry a fair amount of ice cream flavors and they even have frozen bananas here if you're unable to grab one from Balboa Island! Definitely a fun treat.

This was located right next to Newport Landing and we decided to stop by to get hot chocolate. Well I wanted hot chocolate and my daughter wanted ice cream. The weather was about in the high 50s, but since I was layered up and running around, therefore it wasn't cold to me at the time. Service was exceptional, the gentleman that helped us was working by himself and there was a long line. He was very attentive, welcoming and always smiling. I didn't know the hot chocolate came with marshmallows, even though he was by himself and there were nonstop incoming customers, he didn't forget to ask me if I wanted marshmallows and even mixed the marshmallows for me. What a hard worker and he should get a raise if that was not his business. The ambience was friendly and cozy.

The coconut pineapple ice cream on a waffle cone was great. Only wish it had some coconut chunks in it with the pineapple chunks. Staff friendly.

Service was great! Absolutely loved the peanut butter cup ice cream! Tasted like a mixture of cookies and cream with peanut butter! It was so so good! I'd skip the banana walnut next time. Tasted like sugar free ice cream. Butter pecan was excellent. Definitely return'!

This spot is right off of the Newport pier area. There's plenty of other shops and restaurants around, and it's right by all the boats on the water, so it's in a great spot. As for parking, you'll need to park in one of the main public lots, since the shop doesn't have a parking lot of their own. I got the Balboa bar with vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate and Oreos. This ice cream bar definitely hit the spot, but what it set it above others was how thick the chocolate shell was! Whenever I get a chocolate dip, I always want more, and this place finally gave me maybe a little too much (if that's even possible with chocolate :))! The bar filled my ice cream craving, but I wish I could've added some more pizzaz to it - I think some more out of the box toppings could set this ice cream bar above the rest! As for service, the team was enthusiastic to serve my very large party, and they were very friendly to us as well.

This was a great ice cream location in Newport Beach! We were recommended to come here from a store owner down the street. It was busy too so they weren’t wrong! The workers were nice and I got a coffee ice cream shake: simple ice cream and milk that tasted great! I hope to come back soon!

Good portions but two issues: the server was impatient and quit obnoxious. Also, don’t get the peanut butter cup. Tasted like bubblegum with peanut butter cups. Wierd.On the upside, large portions and the cappaccino chip was great.
