WOW. No words, came here this last Friday for a company event that our bosses rented out the place for and the food was SPECTACULAR!! We complained that we should've brought to go boxes because the food was mouthwatering, fresh, and constantly coming out of the oven! The wait staff was incredibly nice and easy going, but beyond that made sure our glasses were never empty. The best sauv blanc! Cant wait to come back!!

Service was incredibly slow and we felt like we were being ignored. No menus were given (had to look online) when other tables had one. No napkins, no utensils. We were offered tasting size beers which was nice but they ran out of the one we asked for so for each coming and going of our waiter, it took even more time to finally take our order. One item was forgotten and that order was put in after everyone else's meals arrived. Pizza came uncut so when I asked for a knife, that also took time so pizza was not hot (had to finally get up to get one from the back and I was greeted with a, "oops! I forgot!" look). Food was not bad but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths.

I have been going to Balboa Island for the past 20 years and have never experienced such treatment.

Great food and the happy hour has a nice selection. the staff though is amazing! came here a few days before Christmas and the staff helped seat my family. not easy navigating balboa during the holidays with a toddler and baby, but they were so great and fast. we will definitely be back!

Pretty good pizza. Burger missed the mark on being medium—it was medium rare and maybe a bit less in some spots. Delivery of the drinks was really quick, which was nice. Servers were nice. The seated restaurant area had a good vibe. A big negative was how dirty the bathroom seemed in proportion to the restaurant and the neighborhood. Moldy faucet and faucet levers. No TP. Dirty floors. Sink and backsplash appeared to not have been cleaned for several days. More of a dive bar bathroom than anything. Sorry to judge on condition of bathroom, but it was particularly undermining of this spot tonight.

The service was excellent. I had a French dip and it was huge. The taco salad was different with no shell but that left room for more of everything else. Reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.
