“I love this place! Been going there 15 years. No snobs. Great food and.music. Saw the LlEagles last weekend with prime rib. Staff has been there along time. They're too happy to leave. Daytime bartender, Nasso, well loved almost 20 years.Parking: This place is in the country. There is a lot. Outside the building parking. They accommodate quite a crowd sometimes. Other times a nice bar or bar room table is a quieter time. Many locals there. Mostly ranchers. 66”
“Good food but pricey and small portions. One of those places you go and then need to stop at in and out after. I've had larger servings of nigiri at other sushi ”
“Second time since 2021. While price has increased it still offers one of the best value in the area for tasting menu. Most of the courses are on point and creative. my favorite is the jidoji egg. The tortellini is a bit bland, but still good. I like that the atmosphere is intimate and unassuming.”
“One of the few places open for dinner, and it's quite homey inside. It was getting late so we were struggling to find some local food after our backpacking trip. The Station House Cafe burger was juicy and savory and the mushroom risotto just hit the spot. A bit pricey for what you get, but I'd definitely recommend it.”
“This is a beautiful place to celebrate a birthday! The service was outstanding! Wonderful thoughtfully prepared and well seasoned options. Loved the smoky garbanzos on the Meze platter!”
“Amazing variety of flavors and options that you get to blend together! Great staff and location, just around the corner from all the restaurants on the strip. Walk off lunch and enjoy dessert!”
“We had a fabulous dinner o a rainy Sunday evening. The Gnocchi were deliious, so light and fluffy that they melt in your mouth. The waitstaff was gracious and very attentive. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Marin.”
“Stopped here on a bikepacking trip. Grateful to find some rare, gluten free naan! Extremely friendly staff and incredible food. One of the best!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free naan!”
“Everything about this place merits FIVE STARS ⭐️. It’s a uniquely DELICIOUS experience. Hector was very personable and fun - genuine positive energy, even gave me a sample to try before purchase (first time customer). The food is extremely fresh with an authentic signature taste. This little unassuming food joint is filled with big things: positive energy, exemplary customer service, easy parking, adequate portion size, the food is prepared with loving intention, and you can taste it!?”
“Creekside has taken over as the best bakery in Novato. This family-owned, one-of-a-kind restaurant is our family favorite for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Their breakfast sandwich, eggs, avocado on a brioche bun with sausage is the best breakfast sandwich in the world. It’s $18 so I don’t do it every morning but I look forward to it all week.”
“Lovely meal last night! Dishes were creative, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Wine list and guidance were terrific complements. Ambience was relaxing. Service was wonderfully personable and prompt. The only (good) problem - the diverse menu presented too many alluring choices for one dinner, so we will be back for sure. Thank you for a terrific dinner!”
“I love the Pump Espresso Bar. Love it. In fact, if I was lucky enough to work from home, I would work from the Pump. The inside is super cute, and it is oddly calming as soon as you walk in. This is saying a lot as I am one of the most high strung, overly driven humans and calm is not in my vocabulary. Lots of great coffee options, and they are all so good! The barista that helped us last time was fantastic and I want to give her all the kudos. She let me taste test their pumpkin syrup and she mentioned that they make it in house. I ended up going with the cardamom latte which seems to be the only drink I get at the Pump Espresso Bar. I keep telling myself to branch out and try a different beverage.Lots of food options that look delicious. The Pump Espresso Bar is always busy and it is such a welcoming local business that I am more than happy to give my business to.”
“We stopped here to get ice cream the other day, and we're very glad we did. The flavors were really excellent, especially the salted caramel, which I think may have only been a temporary flavor. (My girlfriend remarked that it was one of the best ice cream flavors she had ever had.) The prices were quite low, we thought, and the servings very large: A double in a waffle cup was definitely more ice cream than I needed, but I'm not complaining. There are some slight disadvantages of this shop. For example, they won't do normal cups for a single or double scoop, only for a pint or quart, and so you either have to get a waffle cup, which I don't really value, or a metal cup, which means you can't leave. Also, they don't have compostable spoons or anything like that, only offering metal ones, which again means if you're eating from a bowl and don't have your own spoon, you need to stay put. This wasn't the worst thing in the world, because the shop is on a nice town strip with some benches outside, but in a rush it is a bit less convenient than I would like. Also, the store doesn't offer samples, and so you don't really get to try your flavor in advance, but thankfully all the flavors we tried were pretty good. The storefront is also pretty small, and so I can imagine it getting quite busy if a bunch of people go at once, although that wasn't the case for us. All in all, this was a very good ice cream shop, and we definitely recommend it to other people. Try the salted caramel if you can!”
“What a pleasant surprise. Awesome food and service and what a view. This place is a hidden gem in Marin and highly recommended. Try the ceviche which is outrageously delicious.”
“Consistently excellent food - had not been to Masa's in some time, but WOW did they feed us well last night! My daughter is expecting and she felt a little sore throat, nothing that Udon at Masa's wouldn't cure. Efficient staff, fine food. When full, the place is a bit loud, but the fare is worth every penny.”
“Absolutely some of the best food I’ve ever had! True california/mexican food. Very healthy, affordable, fresh ingredients, incredible recipes. I would eat here every week if I lived nearby. We had the salad, sweet potato quesadilla, cauliflower tacos, agua fresca and flan. There was homemade hot sauce and homemade tortillas. Every dish was SO GOOD. I can’t wait to eat here again!”
“The most amazing focaccia and scones I have ever had! We came back four times during two days of stay here. My family is a fan of bakeries and I am glad this one is not next to my town. Otherwise we will over eat everyday ! :-)”
“Fantastic in every way. Great tap list. Great food. Great service. We had the burrata which was so gooey and nice. And the corn chowder was like life changing. The sausage was amazing. We are visiting from out of town but we will be back for sure. Service was excellent !!Edit March 2024: yep they’re still awesome !! Yay !”
“Adorable place very friendly servers a bit expensive for the full tea service but worth it for special occasions. You can also order a sandwich or something smaller. The scones are delicious.”
“A wonderful experience at Kientz Hall! We hosted baby shower in the beautiful Atrium space this past weekend. Everything was perfect. Our mostly out of town guests were impressed with the beautiful space, the delicious food and drink, and the gracious service from the Kientz Hall team. My husband and I enjoyed showing off what our beloved San Anselmo has to offer!Thank you Linda, Samantha, Elaina, and Fernando for a wonderful afternoon with friends and family!”
“I give this place a 5 star rating because the autmosphere is great! The food is pretty good too. It is always lively and many nights there is music playing. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Also they are wonderful community supporters. The Goff Burger is great.”
“Call ahead for rezzies as this is a popular cozy little French wine bar/bistro! Always a joy to spend an evening at Amelie. Everyone is super-friendly, the food & wine, - divine!”
“Time and time again…. Over several years… we have always appreciated the amazing servers and incredible food. The specials are just that…. Special …. And should always be considered. This is our “go to” restaurant for a night out. Thank youKid-friendliness: People friendly….. which is even better than kid friendly”
“Dinner on a Sunday evening. First time here. I immediately liked the vibe of the place. A rustic Italian feel with old photos and other Italian related stuff that gave it a nice cozy feel. I had the lemon pasta with poached salmon. It was pretty good. My daughters also had pasta dishes with a red sauce and were pleased with their meals. Service was pretty good. We left feeling very stuffed. I would definitely go back. I'd say Fradelizio's rates pretty well in my experience with Italian food.”
“Really liked my brunch over here! Cute place with very friendly staff. I liked the food over here too, the walnut French toast was amazing. I only thought the pancakes were a little under and burnt at the same time. But except that, everything else was nice!”
“All smiles at Barefoot Cafe in Fairfax. They surprised our party of 8 after an amazing hike through Cataract Falls. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delivered fast to our table. We all were extremely satisfied. A few foodie critics at our table spoke not a word as they gobbled down their sandwiches. I especially appreciated that the staff was extremely accommodating and allowed me to create an order that was not on the menu and it was incredible. I had a grilled chicken and spinach with pesto and sun dried tomatoes on grilled sourdough bread. We will definitely visit again when in the area.”
“I love this spot. It has a friendly homey vibe. My pizza was good but the bottom crust was a little stale tasting. But that’s unusual. They mushrooms are great.”
“The food was delicious! We had the smashburger, the homemade brisket chili cheese dog, and the brisket sandwich and loved it all! Can't wait for our next visit to try more!”
“One of our favorite spots in Fairfax. Super friendly and attentive service, yummy Italian wine selection, and most dishes were exceptional. Only complaint is that the tri-color salad was a bit bland. We'll be back!”
“Too much heavy-handed focus on guests spending money in their Star Wars gift store. First 2 wine pours we had while standing and with guide narrating. Next were seated pours of only 2 reds with a tasty charcuterie board that we were not allowed time to finish in order to press on to the the museum tour and gift store. We were told we could wrap the snacks in a napkin and hide somewhere if we wanted to finish the food outside these buildings. Tacky when we were tasting $77 wines. The guide and 2 trainees handed us all shopping baskets to fill at the gift store. We did not. Go for the great Star Wars art museum with great guide, if possible but skip the wine tasting. Also, their wine is not cheap. Maybe you're paying for their Skywalker bottle logos too???”
