While the food here is good, the advertised opening hours are off. Several times I have been here before 9pm and the place is closed and they are cleaning up. Tonight is Friday night,they aren't supposed to be closed until 9.30pm. I got to the door at 8.55pm and the place was closed for the night. Huge inconvenience. Covid restrictions ended years ago. Why can't you stay open a little longer or at least until advertised.??

Ever since we visited Hawaii a couple years ago, I've been craving Hawaiian styled food. I saw Ono in passing one day, and finally was able to give it a try on Friday. I was not disappointed at all! I got the chicken katsu plate with two sides of rice and two sides of steamed veggies (I substituted the macaroni salad for more veggies). The food was fantastic. My only thing to remember for next time is instead of substituting for two sides of veggies, to do an extra side of rice instead because I definitely didn't need all that cabbage hahaParking: Depending on the time of day, it can be a little difficult to find parking. There is metered parking and free one hour parking down the street

First time here and was excited to try it! I arrived at 8:20 pm and the place looked like it was closing down for the night even though they didn't close until 9 pm. The customer service was awful and I felt rushed. I ordered the double protein tray with Hawaiian bbq and chicken. It came with a salad and rice. The sauces were premade on the side. It was as super expensive and lacked flavor. I don't see myself returning here.
Food is tasty, portions are great, but what really hooked me was the customer service! It was my first time in this restaurant and I expressed that. The lady at the cash registration warmly welcomed me and explained the menu. She even gave me samples!

Almost four stars? 3.5? It's like Hawaiian fast food. The galbi were really thinly cut but marinated well the teriyaki chicken was very run of the mill and the sides were nothing g really to write home about. Mac salad was one of my favorite things to eat in Hawaii and the Mac here was a bit of a far cry from it. It was kind of bland but I think that's why my kids loved it haha so it wasn't wasted just not my expectation. I think if you are around and missing Maui this might be a fun alternative to other fast casual food spots , I would say it's worth a shot if you are around.

I discovered on recent trip to the valley. The noho station has no public restroom, what I could see around me. 2 restaurant there: Fish place & Ono I needed to use restroom & wanted spam musubi. Ordered the bbq beef mini meal ,which is more than enough food w/o taking rest togo. It was ok, overcooked It was much improved with rice, very small portion. Mac salad is one of my favorites, but it's not very Asian,it needs something else anyway this is Ono

First time trying Hawaiian bbq and the Lady in the register was the sweetest and so helpful. She even went above and beyond explained the menu and even allowed me to try some samples. I didn’t get her name but her makeup up was beautiful and she had an amazing personality. On top of it being such a good experience the food was ready fast ,and everything was so delicious tasted hot and fresh.
