Ever since we visited Hawaii a couple years ago, I've been craving Hawaiian styled food. I saw Ono in passing one day, and finally was able to give it a try on Friday. I was not disappointed at all! I got the chicken katsu plate with two sides of rice and two sides of steamed veggies (I substituted the macaroni salad for more veggies). The food was fantastic. Food is tasty, portions are great, but what really hooked me was the customer service! It was my first time in this restaurant and I expressed that. The lady at the cash registration warmly welcomed me and explained the menu. She even gave me samples!

Almost four stars? 3.5? It's like Hawaiian fast food. The galbi were really thinly cut but marinated well the teriyaki chicken was very run of the mill and the sides were nothing g really to write home about. Mac salad was one of my favorite things to eat in Hawaii and the Mac here was a bit of a far cry from it.
