My boyfriend and I used to consider Krispy Rice to be our favorite place to order from but lately the quality has dropped way way off. The actual rice on the krispy rice dishes have become stale and hard, as if the rice is cooked up and then left to the side for a while. It’s like gravel and hurts my teeth. It's really disappointing, it's gone from delightful to nearly inedible, we used to order every other week and now we're probably going to stop ordering at all.Further, this was our go-to place. ignore that the rice is all messed up in my photo, that is due to my ubereats driver NOT the establishment. however, this place is pretty disappointing. the packaging is really cute and fun but the food was whatever. all the avocado in my box was brown and old and tasted of just straight up lemon, which is i assume from them dousing the avocado in lemon to try and preserve freshness. the rice was chewy and hard, pretty much the same texture as when you leave rice out and it gets stale and hard.

*SCAM ALERT - NEVER EVER ORDER HERE*Absolute JOKE of a place. It is unacceptable that this restaurant exists as a legitimate establishment. DO NOT under any circumstances order food from here. It is a SCAM. The prices are outrageous already and the pictures are completely fraudulent. See my pictures for what it really looks like. Safeway sushi is better than this and better priced.Krispy Krunch box servings are TINY and pathetic looking. Compare my picture to the Door Dash menu picture. You get half the serving sizes. Rice was old and hard. Fish was not fresh. Rainbow Roll was not even cut all the way, all the nori wrap still attached and whole roll fell apart when we tried to pick one up. We are laughing at how utterly pathetic this is.How do these people sleep at night?Shameful. Stole $80 from us.Boxes are nice though. Must be where all the revenue goes.

My sister loves the Krispy Rice in LA so I had to try it when they opened one in Oakland! I think the quality of the fish was decent, but found the krispy rolls to be overly oily. Maybe takeout might be better than delivery if you can eat it right away, because it almost seemed soggy.

Nasty! I'm shocked Katsuya puts their name on this. Food quality was poor. Imitation crab meat. I felt the rolls were sloppily put together. Seemed rushed. This place used the same kitchen as Umami burger and other restaurants. They are trying to do too much out of this place and the quality is lacking. Too expensive for what you get.

I ordered online and did takeout. I got the krispy heaven and it was delicious! Me and my boyfriend don't eat much for lunch, so it was enough for the two of us. I thought it was pretty unique and the presentation is really cute! I really liked the packaging and the fish tasted fresh.
Ghost kitchen...Have fun trying to pickup hahahaha what a scam!!! They are not located where they say they are. Once you finally pay the delivery fees to get the product (do NOT try to pick up) and once we actually got it delivered...it’s not even close to worth it for the supermarket quality sushi. Eater beware!

I love this stuff, it's delicious! I'm quickly becoming addicted. I honestly I am totally perplexed by reviews saying it's low quality or oily, I think it's good quality and a perfect textural contract with the browned crispy edges of the rice.

I got this delivered and fell in love with the packaging. I thought the fish was fresh and the krispy rice was a perfect combo! I scarfed it down in less than 10 mins and can't wait to get it again! The only thing I would've changed was having more pieces in an order!

Gross. I’ve been to Katsuya and also have had “krispy rice” at many different places. This is by far the worst krispy rice I have tasted. The rice underneath was extremely hard and the spicy tuna on top was veryyy fishy. Bad quality fish. The truffle avocado krispy rice was also too overwhelming with the truffle flavor. Salmon nigiri was overpriced which is cool as long as the salmon is fabulous and it was not, also fishy. Plus they took 1 hour to prepare food for take out. Disappointed because I really love krispy rice and also love katsuya

Really enjoyed my first box from a Krispy Rice! Ordered delivery through Door Dash--said it was going to be ~45min for delivery (ordered ~6pm) and it came in about 30min! Boxes stayed nice and pretty during the delivery process :)I got the Just Krispy Box which I thought was a great deal--3 pieces of tempura shrimp, 2 spicy tuna Krispy, 2 king salmon Krispy, 2 spicy hamachi Krispy, and 2 AVOCADO TRUFFLE KRISPY rolls (all caps because this roll was especially DELICIOUS). Would definitely get this box again, it was tasty and the rolls stayed together nicely.I did try to place an order over the phone but could not find a phone number anywhere for this location. Not sure why but definitely need to order through an app like Door Dash. Would go again for the very cute and yummy rolls!
