Crowded, but good. There are outside tables in a nice little courtyard, and I got a lot of work done on my laptop. The only reason I decided to leave was that someone broke into a car nearby, in broad daylight, and it no longer felt very safe. But that had nothing to do with Philz.
I love Philz for many reasons but I JUST tried their Mission cold brew and it was . Not into much caffeine and I started trying other cold brew from other places -- this one still stands out.

I happened to have some free time on a Friday evening and saw that this Philz location is on Too Good to Go, so I ordered a surprise bag. I came to pick up, the staff were friendly and quick with helping with me and since they only had two pastries left at that time of day, they gave me two bagels. I think one of the pastries was a kouign-amann (not totally sure, I'm not the best at identifying pastries) and I thought it was pretty good even though I don't usually like these kinds...read full review
