“I went there today on a recommendation from an IG post and I was a bit skeptical because so far all Cuban restaurants in San Diego are below average. This place is small and has no tables to eat inside but there’s a huge outside eating area. Being Cuban myself I was hoping to have a good experience and to be honest it was a VERY good experience. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and I must say that it’s the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had in all of California. I also tasted their black beans and rice and they were delicious. The gentleman running the place was Cuban so we exchanged conversation and he was very nice. My food was on time and nice and hot. I’m planning on returning and trying a few more dishes and see if it will be as good as my first experience, I would recommend this place over Havana Grill or Havana Kitchen,. Give it a try I think you’ll like it.“

The collard greens are some of the best I’ve ever had and that jollof rice has just the right amount of heat without compromising flavor. Now for the main event…..the jerk chicken and the ribs……the chicken is so moist and just falls right off the bone. The spice levels are on point and a slight hint of smokiness at the back end. Same exact thing with the ribs they are moist and just melt in your mouth with a slight hint is smokiness and sweetness that hit the taste buds just right.
