We were told there would be a 45 minute wait for a table. Since that wasn't bad we waited, but it ended up being a 2 hour wait. They were so short staffed that there no one was really there to bust tables ( that's why we waited so long for a seat ) . The food came out relatively fast but a lot of our things were forgotten like drinks and sides. I ordered a milkshake and did not get it until we received the check.

I get that people are stressed because of the pandemic. Antonio R at the location on the pier must have been having a crappy day. Threw my credit card across the counter instead of handing it to me. Later on, guests came in to ask how long the wait would be for a table and he went off on them asking if he should ask other guests to leave to make room for them. I emailed corporate and they have not yet responded.

Ruby's on the pier in Oceanside is our favorite casual beach restaurant. The food is always great, covid rules followed, it's like sitting on the ocean to eat, views are marvelous. We never miss this experience when in Oceanside.

Was a great experience! We were seated upstairs and had a great view! The only thing that was disappointing was that the restrooms were out of order and we had to go half way down the pier to use the public restrooms... Which ruined my appetite . But this was still a great experience. The staff (all of them) was absolutely perfect. They also have the menus available only electronically. Take a picture or download a QR reader

Dining at Ruby's on the end of Oceanside Pier is a must do. It's a bit of a long walk past the runners, fishermen/women, the infamous Charlie the Pelican, pigeons, and other birds. The chocolate shake and vanilla malts were so thick and amazing. The bacon cheddar burger was big and flavorful. Fries and thick ranch were yummy. We had one gripe, the birds. They will attack your food while your eating it, and drones of birds will clean you out the second you're not watching. Be ready for a fight! Service was amazing btw. The waiter helped to keep the birda away.
The feeling of walking in seems very dirty and unease. It's been sometime since I ate here but now I know why I never really ate here. There's no favor in the food. The texture of the dish and presentation is horrible. The place needs remodeling and less options on the menu.

This Ruby's Diner is amazing! It is very clean and well maintained. It is very big! The service is really good. Employees are very welcoming and polite. I love it.

Beautiful walk on the pier to get to Ruby's. There was a wait to eat but not too bad 20 minutes. The staff from entry were awesome. No issues with the mask because they have patio seating area. Eddie was the best! He was super attentive and fast with service. Had a great attitude and was friendly. I had 4 kids who all seemed to need something and he handled them like a pro. Always smiling and making it happen ? I spoke to Tammy the general manager to tell her how great Eddie was and she was awesome too! Great attitude and service all around. For food we had the fried beans appetizer, fish and chips, seafood combo, Ruby's burger, chicken strips and onion rings, grilled cheese kids meal. The fried shrimp was crispy outside, good flavor. The fish was a kinda greasy and tasted like bland frozen fish. The fries were good. The onion rings were crispy and pretty good flavor wise. We had shakes of course! Thats a must when visiting there. One strawberry banana, oreo +chocolate chip cookie dough mix, strawberry banana +oreo. They were delicious but melted really fast. The ranch, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauces were flavorful and delicious. The prices are moderate but the portions are big and filling. Its always been a good experience each time we've gone over the years. The restaurant is surrounded by the end of the pier. Ocean views all around as your eating. Its a great place to make memories with the family or friends.
