Peligrinni in Orinda is the friendliest and most beautiful restaurant I have ever been the pleasure to experience. The food is very tasty. My favorite local gem and I'm so glad to see it still stands in this space that seemed to churn out small businesses every few years. I love the eggplant melanzane and gnocchi bolognese. My dad is vegetarian and we also appreciate how many veg-friendly dishes there are. Also, ask for the spicy olive oil with your bread-- you're in for a treat!

I've been here for dinner a few times before deciding to ask them to host my son's birthday lunch party on Leap Year Day. There's a few reasons why we chose Taverna Pellegrini: 1) Location was close to home and large enough to fit a large party. 2) The location was flexible with buffet style vs normal style.
