if you are looking for a friendly place to enjoy your meal, then we recommend Mega Cafe in Palm Desert. A great variety of meals at a very reasonable price, and we are enjoying our apple pie Alamo. They even have an assortment of deserts to go and offer a senior menu as well.
Had a decent lunch here with fair service. The food was served hot although light on seasonings- neither the potatoes or vegetables had anything for added flavor. It's clear upon entering the building that this used to be a Coco's Bakery (Shari's if you're from the PNW) and could really use a remodel. This is a prime location right off I-10 and could be something special for both travelers and locals.

This place is exactly what it looks like. It's all simple, comfort food; nothing flashy or easy to mess up and it's all at a good price. It wasn't very busy when we were there on a Sunday morning and our service was consistent through the whole meal. Seems like the 55+ mega menu may be a bit of a misnomer because that's what I ordered off of (despite being in my early 30s).
