Have to give it to them. The food is good and the prices aren't too bad. We ordered extra just to try. Feista burger was off the hook good. The wife had teriyaki chicken straps. She loved them. The onion rings surprisingly were supper good the lite coating is flavorful and the red onions are sweet.

Beer was good (Sculpin IPA). Burger was barely warm, medium-sized, ok flavor. Fries and Onion Rings cold. Sent fries back. Replacement fries only slightly warm.Passed Rosottis on the way here, looked like 500 cars in parking lot. Should have stayed there.

I visited the Palo Alto location: Restaurant was clean, nice music. There was a bar in the back. Bathrooms were clean as smelled good. We werent very hungry but wanted to try the food out so we ordered 2 kids meals with the Smahlburger. Let me tell you that was a full size burger, seasoned perfectly and juicy. Fries were hot and fresh. Would definitely go again and try a salad or specialty burger.

Wahlburgers isn't even a restuarant of craving anymore, it's just an existing option within the downtown Palo Alto area as a potential, last resort option to save some money. The quality of the burger is different and the special sauce isn't exactly comparable to In N Out famously. Therefore, I would recommend other menu options like the all beef pearl hot dog or the grilled cheese sandwich. If I'm in the area and don't necessarily have the funds to splurge on a meal that will likely pinch me, this is one of the few spots that just screams mediocre.

We should have realized there was a problem when we walked in and the place was empty. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was burnt. One fillet was so burnt it was inedible. I also got the fried pickles which were also super burnt to the point that the pickles practically disintegrated. The shoestring onion rings were pretty good though. The restaurant itself was dirty, the floor was so sticky that my shoe actually came off my foot. I spent my meal staring out the window wishing I'd gone to the Sushi place across the street. So disappointed ☹️

I remember stopping by Wahlburgers when I went to Boston and thought they had a decent burger. I was excited to learn that we had a Wahlburgers in Palo Alto and had to check it out. Order at the counter or at the kiosk. You get a buzzer when you order at the counter ; it buzzes to let you know your order is ready. Kiosk ordering texts you when your order is ready. Unfortunately, once we placed the order, we did not receive the "confirmation" text it was supposed to send us. So we weren't 100% sure the order went through. We ordered 3 burgers and there was something "wrong" with each one: Burger #1 : Our Burger (medium) + bacon + extra tomatoes, lettuce & pickles. We received Our Burger without bacon. Burger #2 : Our Burger (medium rare) + bacon + extra tomatoes, lettuce & pickles. We received all the fixings (yay!), but the patty looks just like the "medium" of the other 2 burgers we ordered. Burger #3 : Our Burger (medium) + no onions. We received no onions (yay!) , but they also gave us no pickles. Men's and Women's restrooms at the rear of the restaurant. You can also access it from the side entrance if you're dining in their outdoor/sidewalk patio seating (instead of walking all the way to the front door at the corner and then all the way to the back of the restaurant... unless you need to get more Fitbit steps). Our Burger, plus fries : I may stop by here again if I'm in the area, however I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. For some reason I remember the burgers being much better in Boston. Or perhaps it is a case of "vacation food" tends to taste better? .

One of the worst burgers I have ever had. No joke. Bun was soaked through with grease. Five guys Burgers kills this place. Wish I could give zero stars because it was that bad.

This place has definitely gone down hill. We used to go here whenever we were in the area but won't be back. The restaurant is dirty with sticky tables, you seat yourself now, and the restrooms smelled horrible with flies. The food was mediocre however they still had the good wahl sauce.

Yeah, no. We were in Palo Alto for the afternoon, looking for lunch and had never tried Wahlburgers. We had two different burgers, the fried pickles, and the fries. All were adequate, but not better than that. Beer on tap was a plus. Very big place, practically empty, that might have been a clue. Only seemed to have 2 or 3 staff on site, including the kitchen, but they made it work. Super Duper is much better food and at a slightly lower price. Now that we've tried it, no need to go again.

Fast forward 2022 I found out this location will be closing in a few months. I wondered why the deck outside is an eyesore and a danger to our community, very sad. The owner doesn't seem to care to remove it because they are leaving.

Had my first experience here a couple of months ago. I ordered the bbq bacon burger and truffle fries. Got my burger medium. It was cooked perfectly. My fries smelled amazing and tasted the same. I would definitely recommend this to any burger lover.

There are only 2 people cooking and 1 person taking orders and handing out orders. I don't think it's enough staff to take care of a lunch rush. I felt bad for the workers. Besides that, everything was good. Burgers are amazing as always. The burger was cooked well and very juicy. Fries were nice and crispy. It was just a tasty burger. It was my brother's first time trying Wahlburgers and he loved it. He wants to go back asap. Although prices here are higher than other fast food burger chains, it's good to have every once in a while.

It's not the top option for me in Palo Alto downtown that offers way better food. This huge space is 99% of the time empty. It has made this corner of the University Ave in Palo Alto Downtown very dead and inactive looking. Can't wait till another restaurant that is relevant to this beautiful downtown food culture replaces this mediocre one. Sorry, it didn't work out guys, but maybe you can get creative and make some changes. Good luck.

Major disappointment! I can see why they are closing them down all over the country in recent years . Not to quality you would expect especially with sit down restaurant prices .
