“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“Great customer service and amazing food. The Cheesy Curry Fries are a must try! The Kimchi Fried Rice was also great. The atmosphere is also fun and vibrant and it's relatively affordable. This is a great place for friends and family to share drinks and food.“
“Came here on a rushed lunch. I came another time with a PLANNED and EAGER lunch. The food taste fresh. Their teriyaki bowl is a perfect proportion. It was sweet, tangy and perfectly dressed with crunchy lettuce. Good place to sit down and eat. I'll definitely return for many lunches.“
“This place is really so delicious... I'm posting this review for the first time because I want more people to try this chicken... Among the chickens I've had at OC, this is the most delicious. Especially the seasoning in this house is the best!!!!And I liked that the staff were so friendly :)“
“Lives up to the name! The taste and flavors felt like you were eating just at home. Everything tasted fresh from the sides to the entree. Their house made kimchi is also my favorite! The ambience of the restaurant is so nice! You feel like you're transported to a local restaurant in a village if that makes sense. The staff tends to all your needs and is so kind with the nicest smile! Would definitely come again“
“Fast and friendly service. Pay at the business or Doordash or Grubhub it. To go is your best bet as there isn't much of an ambiance there. I had their spam musubi and other light bites. I especially enjoyed their Iced jasmine milk tea boba. Refreshing, tasty and generous amounts of boba!“
“Came here on a thrusday early lunch! The food was good, but the only thing I have to say is that it's a little overpriced. I know I could have made this at home, but today, I was feeling a little under the weather to so came to try this place because I was craving the bibimbab.Would come back to try other food they have here for sure! They have a LUNCH Special for 7days11am-3pmOrdered2 Marinated beef which cost20.991 Vegetable & Rice in Hot PotI believe it was 17.99 or 16.99 around there1 Ramen cost8.99“
“If you're looking for a place with great food made fresh to order, you've come to the right place! They have the best fresh Japanese style chicken yakisoba and Korean style rib-eye bulgogi beef bowls I've ever tried. I love that they open early so I'll usually call ahead and pick up my order on the way to work. The staff is friendly, works fast and they always get my order right. Come try it out!“
“I've been eating Maria's food since I'm 2 years old. When I eat her food, it brings back memories of when my parents will bring me here. Food is amazing! Her cooking never changes. You need to give it a try. The most authentic food you've ever tried. She is so welcoming and always makes you laugh she treats you like family! The place is clean and safe to eat. My favorite meal is the chicken with veggies and that amazing white rice she makes. 1 more thing her Pressed juices are delicious!“
“First time - I called in my order. A kind gentleman answered the phone. I informed him that I've never been there and he informed me what's in the CA plate.. I ended up ordering a CA plate, salmon & grilled shrimp veggies, side salmon and egg rolls. He informed me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I got there my order was ready. A small , clean local place with about 4 tables. Took a few pictures of the walls with their appetizing food.Healthy, delicious food and awesome customer service.Supporting local businesses. Will be back to try other items on their menu.“
“Dropped by as it was highly recommended by a friend, and would say it didn't disappoint! It is a great spot to go if you have the late night munchies. The service is great! Everything came out pretty quick and came out hot. There is only two front staff and they did come check on a few times to see if we needed anything.I would say that if love spicy foods, the default for the Dukpokki and the hot sauce for the chicken isn't spicy. My friend, who has spicy foods once in awhile, said it was decently spicy. So if you do like super spicy it may need to be adjusted. The Dukpokki has a very nice chew to it and did well to pick up the sauce. The sauce on the Dukpokki had good flavor, it was a good balance of sweet and spicy for a late night snack. The fried chicken was also very delicious! The chicken came out very hot and it was super crispy. We got the chicken with the hot sauce, and it was alright as the sauce wasn't really to our liking. Would definitely try a different sauce or just stick the original as the original is always good. Would definitely come back again!“
“Was craving Korean food and saw that this place was highly rated so decided to check it out. The beef bulgogi was so good, flavors were on point + the owners were really sweet!! Will def come back to try out all the other food. Inside was really nice and clean too!“
“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“
“When I think of a small mom n pop shop, Jang Mo Jip is the definition of it! This is my first time here, and I was immediately impressed by the food here. This hole in the wall shop offers a smaller selection of food with it specializing more in soup-and-rice dishes. Honestly, I appreciate a smaller menu because to me it means they hone in on perfecting their dishes and it prevents decision fatigue for the indecisive customer (like me).We had to try the bossam because I was craving it very badly! I love eating boiled pork belly topped with kimchi, garlic, jalapeno and ssamjang sauce and then wrapped in lettuce It's so good! And the Sam Kye Tang was even more satisfying with it's rich and thick chicken broth flavor It melted in my mouth alongside with the purple rice we got. They also provided complimentary sides (aka banchan) which is why I love eating out at Korean restaurants because of their fermented veggies.Everything about this mom n pop shop were good. The only 2 cons I had was that they do NOT let you take leftover side dishes (kimchi, radish & seaweed). Not sure why this policy exist but makes me sad that these sides gets thrown to the trash if you do not finish them during your meal there. And the menu had obscured prices so I didn't know how much they cost until they bought out the receipt.“
“Been going here with my little siblings for a few years now. Their ramen is delicious and never disappoints, always finishing the last drop!!Their waiters are sweet and great service. I would go here from time to time and it's still good as always!!“
“A little mom and pop shop for Korean tofu. Wife and husband do a spectacular job running the place! Hidden gem! The side dishes are chefs kiss - can’t find some of them like their aloe Vera!Food never disappoints and has a home-y feeling. ☺️“
“? WOW?‼️I must say that *I* was?PLEASANTLY ??SURPRISED?.?By The Food, The Freshness, The Portions, The Service, The Quick Delivery *&* The Respectful Delivery Driver. ??♂️ THANK YOU...?HOLDAAK - FRIED CHICKEN?ℹ️> "| have become a Customer."“
“Great place for lunch, I have been coming here for a few years now and never had a bad experience. Today Alejandra offered great service over the phone and in person. It's convenient to order over the phone and just come pay and pick up.“
“Omgeee Otto Kitchen! I ordered take out last night and it was so freakin good! I couldn't stop saying how good it was while I was eating it lol we ordered the black bean noodles and spicy pork plate and oh man the flavors in those sauces were incredible! I also ordered the sweet and sour pork and Mongolian noodles for the kiddos they were good also but the other two dishes blew me away. Service was very friendly, so I will definitely be back!“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe.Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“I can not emphasize how delicious this place is. I have been knowing this lady since she was located on maple and 16th. My favorite plates are yukaejang and spicy beef bulgogi they are simply amazing dishes. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice lunch, definitely filling and savory !“
“Customer service was excellent and food was great overall.Vegan menu available and everything was tasty and flavorful. Would highly recommend rice cake skewers. All the sides were vegan and refillableHighly recommend this place. Would love to visit again.Vegetarian options: Vegan menu section availableParking: Free parking lot behind the restaurant but limited parking spaces available.“
“This restaurant was so good. Their customer service was very fast and had our large party of 8 seated quickly. The inside ambiance is great as they have tv's playing sports or whatever you advise them to play. We got the kimchi cheese fried rice along with the Korean style chicken wings. The Kimchi cheese fried rice was by far my favorite and we are now even making this at home. The chicken wings were still really good as they cook it to a perfect crispiness and the amount of sauce they add wasn't too much nor too little. Since we don't live too far, we will definitely be back as a regular going into 2024.“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“This place is so underrated, I've only ever gotten in on doordash, but this place slaps. Spicy pork and the side dishes that come along with it are all you need but you can also venture into the beef short ribs. Won't be disappointed. One of the best things left in Montebello.“
“A great place to karaoke your heart out!!! Rented out the large room for 20 people. Very spacious and very clean! Reasonable pricing. Simon was very nice and helpful. He explained how everything worked and was so nice and accommodating. Great atmosphere. Definitely a great karaoke establishment!“
“Nice little location in the food court, I ordered the bulgogi rice bowl, and it was really good! A little pricey but they do give plenty of food, you won't leave hungry! Will come again when I'm in the area and try something else.“
“So good! It was our first time, and we are trying new places to dine out. On + On is exceptional from the food all the way to their sauces. We tried the creamy cilantro and the hot sauce, both have pristine flavor composition. The items that go into the bowl are healthy and fresh. Most importantly, this doesn’t break the bank!“
“Delicious!! My favorite ramen spot ever. The food has a very unique and savory taste. I am so glad I came across this place! The owner is also clearly passionate!Vegetarian options: There are vegetable options, but you need to ask to be sure. It's never been an issue for me as a vegetarian.“
“I've been coming here for quite some time. The person in the front is very kind and always greets me in the warm and nice way. I have recommended this restaurant to a few people and their experiences were the same. My go-to is the Combo A, It comes with Rice and Teriyaki chicken, two rolls, salad and gyozas. The food is always fresh, and the taste is delicious. I can't stop eating at this restaurant. The food is great.“
“Ate an early dinner here earlier with my sister and loved the food we got! It was my second time eating food from here but first time at this location and was my sister's first time in general to try it!I ordered the kimchi pork bowl and really loved the flavor and taste of it! It was spicy but still tolerable! I honestly loved the flavor of the kimchi rice as well. My sister ordered the bulgogi bowl and said she really loved her food too. We both opted to order the black sesame pudding (because we both love anything black sesame haha) and yall it was so good!!It wasn't busy at all and the staff were friendly and very fast in making our bowls and getting our orders to us. The space inside is pretty small and only has about 4 two-seater tables but have more tables to eat outside. Overall really enjoyed the food here and would come back to try other things or try out the create your own bowl options.“
“Neat place that offers authentic Korean food. We ordered their chicken hot pot, delicious! After we're done with the hot pot, the chef made fried rice using the leftover broth and veggies. The chef is attentive, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place.“
“Arrived about 90 minutes before closing. Ordered 4 dishes and still managed to leave in time.Food:All the banchan (side dishes) were so good. Not a single bad one. My favorite was perilla leaves, just because I love the flavor, but everything was good. Anchovies were also good- spicy beef soup - could have used more beef, but this was very tasty and brought back a lot of nostalgia. It was spicy but not too spicy.- spicy acorn noodle - also good- spicy stir-fried squid with udon noodles - a big serving. the udon was very slurpable. There was a lot of spice, but it wasn't too spicy. A good amount of squid. We ended up finishing everything.- to-go: noodles in chilled white bean soupThe prices were reasonable.Service:The man was friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly enough. They don't offer you extra water, so you have to ask.Ambiance:I loved how unassuming and family-feeling it was. They showed a Korean TV channel and played old English language songs. The focus is on the food. A place that Koreans frequent, so you know the food is good. The bathroom was clean, there were seat covers, the soap smelled good.Would definitely return.“
“Cute tiny store. People are friendly here. The food is tasty. I ordered the spicy seafood noodle. The noodle was cooked just right (on the chewier side), and soup is packed with flavor. I wish the fishcake is a bit sweeter, but i guess it's all in the soup They also have kimbap without rice which is great option for low carbs diet.“
“This place is an old school Korean restaurant but the food is excellent. As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.I highly recommend this place both for Korean traditionalists as well as non-Koreans who just want some really good quality Korean food.“
“Edit: I went again in the evening. I stand by everything I've said. This is my new favorite place.Words honestly can't express how grateful I am for my Corn Dog experience.I'll make it brief....I've been waiting to eat here since before they opened. I've been to a more "Instagram" place before and honestly I am not a fan of places like that. It's over priced, over packed, the people that work there seldom have good service, and they rely more on their photographic moments than quality of food. This place was heavenly and the service was amazing. It set the tone for my great day and the standard for every corn dog I will have after.I am postponing my exodus to be able to come here one last time. (At that location, I will be certain to try more later.)“
“The pig's feet were really, really delicious. The meat was very tender and the raw radish vegetables were also very delicious.I think Gamjatang is really the best~ The bone meat is delicious and the soup is amazing~~ Highly recommended!!!The owner was very friendly and the side dishes were very delicious.“
“This place was amazing! Tonight was our first time here and I cannot wait to go back. The wings are BIG so for the price, this is a steal! We got garlic parm, thr Umami soy, and crispy wings.... alllll Delicious. The fries were super crispy. The cabbage and pickled radishes were also so yum. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a MUST try. Also, they have a great selection of beer and soju!“
“Korean place serving sushi. Service was excellent - attentive and food was out quickly. Price was very reasonable. Sashimi was BEYOND fresh - some of the best I’ve had in a long time. In fact, had I known the quality of the sashimi beforehand, I likely would ordered solely that. Will be back.“
“Love this place! It's refreshing to see non-kbbq-type Korean joints that serve delicious, well-balanced meals at an affordable price.Whenever I need to be in the area, I drop by because their pork belly is amazing - reminiscent of southern bbq! Their rice, which they lightly add some special touches to is awesome too. The owners are really nice folks; love supporting them. I'd highly highly recommend it if you're looking for something quick and casual in the area.“
“Peaceful spot where you can enjoy hot and cold Korean soups and BBQ. Their fixings are also good. They've got Terra and Cass beer consistently also. Customer service is fast and very accommodating. They check in on you every so often if you need anything. They also have golf on their screens during tournaments and the place is very clean. Their Cold Noodle soups are comfort food along with their beef bbq ribs. The same owners and employees here have been hospitable and sweet.“
“Thinking bout this place onnnn and onnnn and on and on. BBQ beef bowls fr still dreaming about them!! I love healthy food and this left me with that "this is healthy food" kinda feeling. Kimchi brussels?! Bulgogi?! Fresh pickled cucumbers and carrots?! Ordered it with the peanut and honey teriyaki sauce which are my fav. The whole family loved it and the place was super cute, right near Yi Fang (also recommend). Worker was nice and we can't wait to come backkk!“
“Very cute place! Great food and amazing service. There is music, you can pick the music, the portions are very generous. There is also the option for full and small portions. You'll feel like a grandparent insisted on feeding you during a visit. Limited seating but a great place for pick up or delivery. They open early at 7am and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Korean drinks, Mexican drinks and soft drink/juices available. Delicious deserts are also available at full and half portions.Parking: Plenty of free parking.with spots designated for the restaurantKid-friendliness: Music, small portions for children or those using portion control.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide sidewalks and close free parking right in front of the restaurant“
“Perfect every time! The chicken is always consistently delicious and the workers are very nice. The restaurant has a lot of seating and is quite clean. The menu has a good variety of flavors and chicken to choose from so you're bound to find something that you like. They also play KPOP music videos which is a giant plus. The price is slightly higher than the average chicken place, in my opinion. However, you're definitely paying for the quality and taste. We always stop by when we're in the area and so should you!“
“they're open pretty late, really fresh and well made sushi... their spicy mayo is good, i ordered the philadelphia roll and salmon sake. decent price too. clean hygienic utensils, huge water bottle that’s nice and cold served in a metal cup. comes with a miso soup 5/5 will be coming back !“
“I live not too far away and never realized that this place sold both boba and corn dogs!I came for the boba- the milk tea was delicious and the service was super quick despite a few people waiting ahead of me. While I waited, there was plenty of seating and the place was nicely decorated. I loved the neon sign and the Christmas decorations were a nice touch!I wish I would have come hungry because I have been meaning to try the corn dogs. They look super appetizing! Can't wait to come back!“
“Great Mom n Pop korean restaurant. The spicy chicken soup was flavorful without being too salty. The bossam was a great portion for the price, we got a small and it was more than enough for two to share. I love the banchans here, they're different from the typical ones I've seen and all delicious! My favorite was the rice cake side dish, and the wood ear mushroom was zingy and refreshing as well. The service is great, the lady working here is very kind and when we took our leftovers to go, she gave us two little containers of sauce to go with it! Very spacious parking lot and very easy to spot in the plaza!“
“We got there during Busy Busy lunch time on Sat. We barely sat at the table at the entrance. I was not feeling comfy. The customers passed right our table at the door. No relax this time. We got the menu for special lunch. Small portion w less expensive. We ordered fried dumplings, chicken w lobster sauce, and chicken kungpao. The foods were delivered so fast even thou they had lots of Take out orders. I liked the fried dumplings, Juicy and crunchy. For the chicken kungpao, I give 3 stars, missing something. Spicy but not really flavorful. The chicken pieces are too small, I couldn't taste the chicken. We both liked chicken w lobster sauce, mild, so creamy, soft shrimps w lots of veggies. I give 4 stars. Overall, I was not relaxed due to the corner of the entrance. People and the staff bothered me. However, I want more fried Dumplings. Today's best was fried dumplings.“
“Upleveled our sushi / korean food experience in LAX Koreatown. I'll never be the same person again... for the better Came across the restaurant on TikTok from a food blogger and immediately bookmarked it for my upcoming trip to LA.Parking: The restaurant is tucked inside the ground floor of a packed plaza on a very busy main street. There's parking available in the lot, but I opted to park on the main street.2-person set menu $140 total for the following:- Starter: mini bibimbap, miso soup, banchan- 1st course: 40-piece sashimi (walu, salmon, tuna, flounder, hamachi, albacore +)- 2nd course: Small Bite's Sampler Plate with Kimbap, corn, coleslaw, katsu, ttoekbokki, and panjeon- 3rd course: Special Sashimi with octopus, uni, kraken, clam, squid +)- 4th course: Steamed egg and Salmon - 5th course: Spicy Seafood Soup with Rice Porridge“
“Highly recommend this Catering Place! The taste is way beyond great! I also want to THANK "JOY" Catering for delivering all the way out to City of Industry and our staff are looking forward to LUNCH everyday! We are very fortunate to find "JOY" Catering!!!“
