Great place for a quick healthy bite! The food is tasty and beautifully presented, and the ambiance is homey and charming. Would definitely recommend.

Tasty is a gross understatement. I crave Fig Sprout when I go too long without it. I haven't had anything here I didn't like. Their chicken is delicious. Their sauces are amazing. The Curry Rice or Herb Rice plate are my usual go tos. Or just a 1/4 chicken dark with Ratatouille and Butter Squash. But it's all good. I've taken a whole chicken and sides home to share with my husband and had leftovers, or grabbed lunch on my way through. They used to be open longer hours but since the pandemic, they are focusing on being a lunch spot for the downtown community. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Honestly, one of the most simplistic meals that has blown me away. A friend recommended the chicken, and I don’t know how it’s cooked? Maybe baked, but either way it was soooo delicious. The dark meat option came with a leg and thigh, and the skin was super thin and crispy. The inside was juicy and flavorful. The two sides I got was the herb rice and ratatouille. The herb rice was super yummy and paired well with the chicken and sauces. The ratatouille was warm and the vegetables were comforting… and that’s saying a lot for a vegetable dish! Overall, this felt like being invited to someone’s home and sitting down for lunch or dinner. I would absolutely come back if I’m ever back in this area. The real stars for me was the dipping sauces. I joked and said that this dish felt like a “chicken flight” because each sauce really changed the dynamic of the chicken and rice. The green being a cilantro mint, a mustard curry sauce, and a sweet chili sauce. The sauces themselves made the dish so amazing and I HIGHLY recommend trying all three.

We have passed by this place numerous times and it has never been open. Fortunately, we were able to catch them when they were open! Highlights: - Herb rice is similar to a Hainan chicken. Very delicious. - Fried chicken plate - got this with half salad and half rice. Also very solid dish. Salad was well dressed and the chicken was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. - Service is extremely friendly! - Interior has a homey feel with a lot of trinkets/plants all around the restaurant. - Prices, especially given the portion sizes, are great. I wish they were open on the weekends because I'd love to visit more often!

Boss and coworkers were raving about this place. Decided to check it out, and wow. Defffinitely lived up to the hype. Important stuff: - Friendly service - Super reasonable prices (especiallyyy in Pasadena). - Generous portions - DELICIOUS FOOD! Ordered the Crispy Chicken Plate with half herb rice and half salad + ordered a side of the sweet corn (loved the corn!). Coworker ordered the Herb Rice Chicken Plate (?) , similar to a Hainan Chicken Rice. Also looked very good. Overall, food was amazing. So tasty, loved the sauces it came with. All of the food was fresh and delicious. Would totally get this even if I wasn't at work, would come by for this on the weekend just to grab a bite. Will be adding this to my list of regular places and also need to try their drinks as well... Do yourself a favor and check this place out :)

I used to come here when they first opened and they were so amazing right from the beginning~ Safly, I’ve moved far away now, so I’m not able to go. But, next time I come back, I will definitely be going to Fig Sprout!

Stumbled upon this cute little food stop and walked in and was greeted by a lovely lady who was kind. I wasn't sure where to order as you walk In it's a bit confusing since there's a window like fridge you would normally assume food to be inside to choose from. However, the lady quickly told me to order from the menu above as I guess I wasn't supposed to look over there even though it's in the front of the house ? On the positive side the food was a good amount and really tasty! I got the chicken curry with rice and it's always my go too. There is limited seating outside however, it's really cute and cozy. I am always able to eat half and save the other half for the next day which is something I always look for. The price isn't bad either! However, keep in mind I don't eat a lot but, if I was with my boyfriend or brother it would probably be just enough for a meal for one of them along with my leftovers... ;)

Happened to run into Fig Sprout in Old Pasadena. We ordered the Sweet Pork bowl and Chicken Teriyaki plate along with the Chicken Berry and Chicken Arugula salads. Portions were good and everything tasted great. Service was prompt and friendly too.

This spot is incredibly underrated!! Quick service, very tasty food, great Vietnamese coffee, and a great location. Also the food is very cheap for the quality and the portion sizes! 10/10 recommended.

Five stars might be a tad high for such an unassuming place but I rate based on how well they accomplish what they set out to do. They take a lot of care with their dishes, make really good salads with quality fresh ingredients and tasty dressing, and their chicken is the absolute bomb. It comes with some fun dipping sauces, too. Great place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner or something to go. I could imagine eating here every week.

I tried to come to Fig Sprout a few times before I was actually able to and had to go elsewhere because their hours aren't clear. I know it's due to the pandemic and times are uncertain for all of us in many ways, but yeah, frustrations aside, it was worth the wait. It's a small place with not much space outside for dining (maybe one or two tables), but the decor is cute and comforting. The menu is written on the chalkboard behind the counter, and at the moment they aren't keeping their sides out on the serving line. Because I couldn't see what the sides looked like and we obviously aren't allowed to have samples right now, I decided to order just an entree and drink. I had read that their chicken was really good, but I was completely undecided on how I wanted to experience it. In curry? Fried? With potatoes? I wasn't sure if they specialized in one method over another, but I picked the curry on a whim. I also ordered the honey mint lemonade. The curry was sweet and flavorful, and the veggies and chicken were so tender. The chicken really was awesome, and everything was cooked so well that I took half home to have later. The lemonade was refreshing, though a little sweet, but the mint was the deciding factor. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if it didn't have mint because I'm not really into lemonade. I recommend that you try it at least once, as long as you like mint and don't mind lemonade.

Yummy food, nice server, and large portions. We enjoy the kale chicken noodle soup .

I wish more restaurants like this existed. Then I’d go for lunch everyday. Hearty, home cooked food in a good combination. If I could offer any changes, it’s to have more sauce included.
