I was disappointed by the quality of the food. My lobster and shrimp ravioli tasted bland and I had to add a lot of salt. Service was fine, but the pacing was all wrong. Received our main dishes spread apart and before the appetizers. By the time we had everything and I started eating, the food was getting cold.

This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in the Pasadena area. The food is always phenomenal and fresh and the service was great because they brought us a complimentary pana cotta for our anniversary.

Il Fornaio is closing in Pasadena so we went for one last Hurrah! The salad I had (pear + grapes+ gorgonzola ) was delicious, but the fusilli pasta was sorta spicy and it was not indicated on the menu. The place can get noisy but is good for a group.

We found out that I'll Fornato in Pasadena will be close it's really sad because we are going to miss it we go twist a week for happy hr and also for diner. Well it's has been nice to be part of I'll Fornato In old town Pasadena

Like so many places, good service is a challenge. We had to ask multiple times for things like water refill and another glass of wine. One glass of wine came after we had finished our meal! Grilled salmon and other grilled fish are always excellent. The special tuna salad was a dud. Steak was a bit overcooked; probably need to stop ordering it.

Fresh Pasta, great salads, excellent service and outdoor dining ambiance makes this location one of our favorites and it is why we always have dinner here on every trip in from the east coast!! Only issue we encountered this time we were told this location is closing on January 14 as the lease is up and the owner will not renew.

My only issue with this restaurant is they always seat us by door that leads to their patio and every time the staff go in and out you get blasted with cold air. So always have to ask to be moved in future when I make the reservation I will tell them not to seat us there. The food and service here is consistently good.

It was a Very Busy night in our area and our Server was excellent and professional throughout inspire of being overloaded. The 4 of us all enjoyed what we had that we are looking forward to returning soon. We had some effort to decide on wine as were fairly unknowledgable about Italian wines.
We love the Pasadena location. Food is always good. However, the service was a bit slow. My reservation also has a note that it's our anniversary but no one acknowledged it, so that was a bit of a disappointment.
Nice facility. Food was delicious. Linguine Al Mare and Salmon dishes were excellent. We ate outdoors, and it was nice and warm (heater was on). Service was excellent as well. They validate parking at One Colorado structure.
I forgot how good yummy Il Fornaio is. I had the Branzino Limon. It was so deliciois. Staff was wonderful. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays beautifully. I'll be back!

Service was lovely but the food was very disappointing. We got the cesar salad, zucchini flowers, and meat sauce spaghetti. Zucchini flowers were just fried dough that were spicy. Cesar salad was nothing special, for the prices and reputation of restaurant, was expecting better quality food.

I have gone to this restaurant with friends a number of times over the years and chose to go back with friends last night because of the experience. However, it was a big disappointment. The server checked one of the orders a second time as she entered it into the system, but it was wrong. Since we waited for the correct order, the other 3 orders did not stay hot. She did not come by to apologize or see if everything else was ok, if we wanted to order a second glass of wine or needed anything else. I needed to get her attention for the check and then she asked about desert and when we declined I needed to ask for coffee and again no contact about refills.This will not be on my list to go back to or recommend.

Although the hostess had no idea what time it was, it went splendidly after we were seated by a window in one of the available rooms. Alissa was amazing, with a great sense of humor especially with how crowded it was. The food as always was incredible. We always have the pasta, cause it is our favorite.
