Best poke bowls I've ever had in Pasadena. The service was fast and I order online usually and end up picking it up. The purple rice is a fun new thing I have seen and still tastes just as good. The fish is very fresh and tasty and I will for sure come back. The area in Pasadena is also a good area with good parking.

Located in a shop lined alley. Cute casual small. If you're not getting a poke bowl service is really slow. It took 30 min to make my order, lunch rush just ended. Decent portion sizes, decent flavor, except for the miso soup, it had no flavor, tasted like watered down tea. Owner isn't friendly lol.

I've been here a few times and can't make up my mind on whether I like it or not. It's a bit more expensive than the other Poke spot, which is less than a block away. It has an ok selection and the fish is fine, but nothing amazing. The purple rice seems more like a gimmick than anything else. No huge complaints but for some reason I don't find myself coming back very often.

Roll me up in a sushi roll and take me home because Roll Factory by Straycat Kitchen always takes care of my poke cravings. My boyfriend has taken me here twice and it just might become a regular sushi spot of ours soon. He's been here probably 10+ times before me though! I've gotten to build-my-own poke bowl and try the Chirashi Bowl here. Both of these were great and were served in such big portions. Both times, I got full after eating half and was able to save the other half for another meal. The regular build-your-own poke bowl comes with 2 sides and 2 proteins but you could go crazy with the toppings if you'd like. I mean, you can go nuts with the toppings! I usually ask for most of the toppings. I'm a salmon gal and I always get double scoop of salmon and when they say "2 scoops" they are much more generous with the scoops than what is advertised. The staff here are always so friendly, too. Everything in the Chirashi Bowl was made perfectly. From the generous sashimi pieces to the rice, I had such a fun time eating it and enjoyed the variety of toppings. I think Chirashi translates to "scattered sushi" which doesn't sound as pretty as it looks but it quickly became my favorite menu item because I get to try a little bit of everything! The sashimi isn't even the best part here because the rice is where it's really at. The rice has a slight sweetness to it and of course, the signature sushi rice texture. The sashimi has a tender, melt-in-your-mouth, smooth, silky texture, as it should! You can tell the chefs here do a great job. It's always fresh and you can taste it. I don't even feel guilty at all eating this because fish and rice are a complete meal full of vitamins, minerals, and protein. Needless to say, give Roll Factory by Straycat Kitchen a try! The poke and Chirashi Bowl are my jam but they also have tempura, rolls, sushi burritos, and more things to try. I'll definitely be back to try more things!

Looking for a quick snack while waiting for the Lunar New Year program at Colorado One, tried this restaurant that is in the plaza area. Had a bowl of Shrimp tempura udon and spam musubi with avocado and both were very good. The udon had a good flavor and came with a lot of toppings. The musubi was cooked just right, good flavor and avocado. Didn't have to wait long and was nicely packed so that we could eat it on the plaza. Perfect for what we were looking for. Poke menu and sushi roll menu looked like you have many options to suit your taste. Can't comment on taste. Location is kind of hidden and have to deal with Old Pasadena parking, but worth the journey.

My best friend recommended this place and I fell in love!! My fiance and I love their poke bowls. The customer service is always nice and they always offer recommendations. The ambiance is cute and quiet and they have lots of seating. I'm planning on going again because they have such yummy and fresh selections.

I went to this restaurant today with a friend because I had such a good experience last time I went. The spicy tuna rolls and cucumber rolls were very good. They were not too spicy and the rice was delicious. I think this place is overlooked and you should definitely check this place out. Highly recommend!!

I came through because I have walked through this little alley with friends and always see this tiny little cat-logo sushi shop. I came by on a whim expecting some fast foody simple rolls which would have been fine. But I was surprised when the salmon roll came out, and it was immediately obvious the fish was really nice quality and the roll looked as good as some of my favorite sushi restaurants. Very impressed!

Sushi roll took a while to come out but actually not bad at all. The sushi maker could probably work at a real sushi joint. Small place, easy to miss. Seems they specialize in poke bowls or chirashi style bowls which I didn't get. Not crazy about it but it's definitely not bad at all. Simple place. Simple customer service. Nothing special.

Roll Factory truly stands out as a haven for musubi enthusiasts, especially in an era where variety in musubi offerings is becoming increasingly rare. Located where street parking and paid garage options are available, this spot may require a bit of a hunt for parking, but it's well worth the effort. The interior, though on the smaller side, exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. But what really makes Roll Factory shine is its food, particularly its impressive array of Spam musubi. The selection here goes beyond the usual, offering unique twists and flavors that are a delight to explore. The poke bowls are another highlight of Roll Factory. They're generously packed, offering not just great value but also a delicious taste experience. It's the kind of bowl that satisfies both appetite and flavor cravings, making it a personal favorite of mine. Another must-try is the Superman Burrito, an ingenious creation with imitation crab gracing the outside. This burrito is not just visually striking but also a culinary masterpiece, brimming with a variety of seafood that makes every bite a joyous exploration of flavors and textures. Given the exceptional quality of both the poke bowls and the Superman Burrito, Roll Factory has secured a spot on my list of go-to places. It's a gem for anyone looking to indulge in superb musubi, poke bowls, and more. I'm already looking forward to my next visit for these delightful offerings.

Had a lazy Thursday that didn't inspire me to cook and so I opted for delivery instead (rip my wallet). This place is on the pricier end, but the portion was pretty big so I'm not too bothered. I'm no poke connoisseur, but I get it relatively often. Thought the fish tasted fresh and appreciated all the options in terms of fish and based and add-ons. The half salad, half purple rice base couple with two scoops of protein was super filling. I was full halfway through such makes me want to share this the next time I get a poke bowl here. The spicy tuna-spicy salmon combo gave the bowl a kick. The amount of fish you get is pretty on par with most poke places that are cheaper, but I liked the overall quality here and how generous they are with your sides make up for it. Poke is nutrient dense, but not calorie light (with all the sauce going into it hahah) so definitely a treat for myself and glad I tried this spot. Excited to try it in-person at some point.

Good menu good service walk up counter outdoor seating a bit pricey for lunch which ended up being over 20 dollars for a sashimi salad

This is our go-to poke spot in Pasadena. After my husband and I came back from our honeymoon in Hawaii, we were craving both poke and spam masubi and this place fit the bill. The seafood is very fresh and the portions are perfect. The spam masubi with purple rice is amazing! I've been there probably over 20 times and the service is always good. They have a punch card if you're a frequent flier. There are a few tables inside and outside if you're interested in dining in.
