Beautiful! Breathtaking views and great wine. Not the best service and so quiet you feel like you have to whisper just to have a conversation. Short on the pours. Wish it was better but it just didn’t hit the mark.

My favorite stop in Placer County! This winery is just right with a mix of being: family owned with a personal touch that make you feel like a part of the family there! It is also the perfect place to take friends and family members because there is so much open seating, where you could look out on the winery as the train goes past or sit in some adirondack chairs playing cards. Additionally, if you are into wine but have not found your spot yet, I recommend doing the Placer County Wine Trail in the area!

Great family winery! Highly recommend! Sauvignon Blanc and Estate Malbec are our favorites.

So this was a first time for my other half and I to explore a different vineyard outside of what we're used too. About 20 minutes northeast of Sacramento, into the hills of the gold country also known as placer county is a little historic town called Penryn. Here you'll find some of the buildings dated as far back as the 1870's, and as you travel through the town and just a little off the beaten path you'll find Happy Dayz Vineyard. Once you enter the property through the gate, you're greeted with beautiful, well kept mandarin trees that go along the the driveway that lead you to a beautiful pre historic home that leaves you a stunning view of the Sacramento valley. But the what caught my attention was not only was this a small, family own business but, they're the only winery I know that have an Adopt - a - Vine event. With this, you get the full on experience of actually harvesting the grapes that are grown on the vine and do the whole foot crushing of the grapes so on and so forth, it was also our first time meeting the owners Jacque and Rick Kennedy and by far some of the nicest people I've ever met! Both were very down to earth and were awesome at explaining the entire process from vine to bottle. Everything is onsite is grown, harvested, and even bottled! I found this as therapeutic but also a excited task for me. I will say, Rick... doing this, will definitely make you appreciate when your glass is being poured! So you find yourself looking for something to do but don't want to be swamped with the hustle and bustle of the traffic and city slickers, then this place is for you!

Rick took time to explain the local climate, wine choice, collaboration with Lincoln Rotary Club and the family's passion for making good wine. I enjoyed the learning experience he shared. I bought wine and olive oil... good stuff!

Awesome vineyard and the people are super friendly. Our tasting was so nice even with the rain and cold. The wines were very good, we bought bottles of our favorites and joined the wine club. Can't wait to go back for our next tasting.

What a wonderful, quiet, vineyard we visited today. My wife and friends went to Happy Days Vineyard and we we very happy with our experience. Happy Days Vineyard is a nice quaint Vineyard located in Penryn Ca. where you can have some friends come with you to enjoy some wine tasting and just really enjoy the afternoon. I can't remember the owners name but they came out and served us some delicious whites and reds that were amazing. We even signed up for their wine club. If you are looking for a great winery where the people are real and down to earth...Not to far away... Go visit Happy Days Vineyard in Penryn. You won't be disappointed.

A great find! We wanted to venture and find a new winery, happy that we found this one. Highly recommend making it a picnic, they have lots of tables to enjoy the food, wine, and views. They do not require reservations so you can walk in and find a spot to taste. The wine itself was nice and a good price point. I love how it's still a family owned and operated business, generations of work paying off! I will defintely be back.

Rick and Jacque are two of the nicest people you can meet and they are making great wines. The property has been in their family for years, and is absolutely stunning. enjoy their grassy outdoor space with a panoramic view of the valley and downtown Sacramento in the distance. Try all their wines, but we especially love their Chardonnay, Malbec, and Barbera. You can bring a charcuterie or a picnic to enjoy, and purchase mandarins when they are in season Nov. - Jan. Everything is priced right, and they are family friendly. Absolutely amazing place!
