I went in with my family after hearing some good recommendations from friends. They were closing in 30 minutes and understood they would be annoyed. When we walked in a lady was by the door she stared at us confused, we asked if they were closing soon, and she kept repeating that they close in 20 minutes. The guy behind the counter then says he can make us something to go in a rude manner. We say it's okay and we will come back another day. Will not be coming back until staff is more appreciative of costumer's.

My family and I came in to celebrate my niece's birthday. We had such a wonderful experience! We were seated as soon as we walked in and were able to order right away. We were impressed by the cleanliness, the ambiance, and the kind service. They even had a robot delivering our food to us. Besides the service and ambiance, the food was exceptional. The sashimi was so buttery and fresh, serving sizes were pretty big and overall prices were fair! My niece got a huge cup of green tea icecream for her birthday that was delicious. Another bonus is that they offer military discount! Overall, such a phenomenal dining experience and we will definitely be back!

Food was excellent! I'm glad to see that a great sushi restaurant replaced Kinka. Everything was fresh and presented nicely. Prices are on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. Will definitely return and recommend to others!

Our go to Sushi in Petaluma for the delicious and fresh food, the cleanliness, and the staff is outstanding! Food- we have tried many things on the menu and have never been disappointed (you get large portions). The staff is so friendly and attentive. And their robot who brings the food is an added bonus. My nephew loves it and they pay extra attention to him and have the robot come often. I highly recommend giving this place a shot!

So happy to have discovered Sushi Luma. Recently, I moved to Solano County from Seattle, WA and I've been searching for a Japanese restaurant similar to my favorite spot in Seattle. Sushi Luma fits the bill and serves fresh and delicious bento boxes. Their California roll includes snow crab at no extra cost and shrimp tempura with vegetables is the best I've tried so far. The shrimp tempura is battered with an appropriate coating of Panko and crunch. I've dined here 3 times and the food is consistent and fairly priced. In fact, the plating of the food is abundant which is rare to see (post pandemic) at other restaurants. The restaurant's interior and aesthetics are very clean, modern, and inviting. The restrooms are updated and clean. Customer service is friendly and accommodating, however, I do agree with a previous Yelper that checking in on customers throughout the dining experience can be worked on (may be caused by staffing shortage). Each time I've dined here during lunch there wasn't a wait to be seated. It seems they do a lot of to-go orders. The billing is straightforward in that it shows the items ordered and tip options (no hidden surcharges). Parking is free and may be challenging since it's located in an older small strip mall that shares parking spaces with other stores. There is no disabled parking and no ADA curbs near the restaurant's entry way. Street parking is available. I drive 30 minutes sometimes an hour due to traffic to happily dine here. I wish this establishment would open a second location near my home either in the vicinity between American Canyon and Benicia, CA. Thank you Sushi Luma owners and staff for serving consistent delicious meals at decent prices to the community. I wish them abundance of success and prosperity in their restaurant venture.

Awesome fresh sushi, very pleasant, fair price! So many places are selling bad sushi with dry rice (Paradise) and bad rolling (Peta. Market) etc. Our sushi was beautifully rolled, avocado, fish, everything fresh. And wonderful hot salty edame. We will definitely be back, even if it's on the other side of town. Friendly service too. Thank you!

The service is outstanding, and all the dishes are filled with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Unlike most Japanese restaurants that use imitation crab, this place uses real crab. Despite using real crab, the prices are not expensive. The taste is also richer. I've lived in San Francisco, San Jose, and LA and I love Japanese cuisine, so I've been to many places. However, I don't think there is a place as delicious, generous in portion, and reasonably priced as this one. I will definitely visit again. This place proudly claims to be the best Japanese restaurant in the area, and I believe it will be.

At first, I was a little skeptical going here, thinking it was the previous owners running it. When I went in, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is so clean. New dishes, utensils, etc. Extremely nice staff. And we really enjoyed our dinner.

We’ve been here a few times and the service was always great and the food tasted great. But lately the rolls have gone down hill. The consistency isn’t there and the taste is different from the last time we’ve gone. I ordered a tuna roll with avocado and cucumber and you can tell in the pictures the avocado is non existent! If I’m paying for avocado I want avocado. Same goes for the cream cheese, unfortunately the whole order was lacking in quality and good taste. The spicy tuna roll had an off taste that I couldn’t finish.

Surprisingly bento box lunch menus dishes we ordered were good. I had chicken katsu bento box which comes with 2-pieces of chicken katsu, katsu sauce, salad, rice and miso soup all were prepared deliciously. Sister ordered chicken teriyaki and tempura combination with similar and everything were good.Since everything were decent so far so I decided "futomaki" which are assorted vegetable pickles roll to go and it was below par as tastes and inegredients used in futomaki roll so I could not rate 5-Stars due to futomaki roll.I would rate today's visit;Food Quality ----- 5-Stars (for Bento-box foods) & Futomaki roll 1-Star.Food Taste ------- 5-Stars (for Bento-box foods) & Futomaki roll 1-Star.Service-------------- 5-StarsAtmosphere ----- 5-StarsParking -------------5-Stars (plenty of parking up front12/28/2023 @ 12:10PM, Sister and I visited for second time since first visit were decent in quality and taste of food.Although second visit was disappointed.
