The flavors vibed delectably. The Black Tide was fresh, firey, the mango and apple with the shrimp was diced to perfection. The vegan tacos were amazingly delicious. The Hibiscus was dipped in the dark sauce. WOW!!! The blue tortilla was a bonus. It was so romantically blended. There is something about Hibiscus ?. The mushroom taco blended perfectly with the dark sauce. The limonade was just right. What a spectacular lunch. See you next time.”

“The place was super busy and you can easily tell that the place was WAY understaffed to accommodate the business. With that said, the entire staff was amazing and were super friendly while taking care of everyone who was ready to feast along with the crowd who was waiting to sit. They even had a moment to answer stupid questions from me being from out of town wanting a seafood fix.

Owners: please praise these folks and add some bonuses to their paycheck! They aren't getting paid what they are worth and I’d love to pay their expenses to come work for me in another state to continue their magic. Also, please add a non-butter based sauce in an effort to accommodate diet restrictions and better flavor profiles like competitors.”

It's my first time here I go to school across the street. I ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki bowl. Wasn't sure if I was gonna need the plate because I wasn't sure how much food came in the bowl but wow! It's a good size bowl and it's full of chicken and beef. It's not just all rice. The price was under $20 for a drink and bowl with avocado add on. I'm very happy with my lunch! It's really fresh and no weird pieces of meat. The teriyaki has a really good flavor, I did add extra sauce to my bowl. It's very tasty. I'll definitely be back.”

I’ve tried açaí bowls from plenty of other spots, but this has been my #1 for a while. They are delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is great too and I like ordering makes it easy to get.”

“Taco Boy is definitely a hole in the wall mexican joint. Breakfast here is definitely the best in the area especially for the price. Its a walk up to the counter and order type restaurant. No wait staff just a cashier and the chefs who are always on top of their game. My fave plate is the chilaquiles rojos. The chips and salsa alone are great. That's how you know the food is good.
It can sometimes take about 20/25 minutes for your order to be ready due to the early morning rush. Finding a table isn't too bad but again they have a loyal fan base of early bird breakfast customers who will wait in line to order. Give it a try it's definitely worth a try. Friendly on the wallet too!”

“Found this hidden pho spot in Pico Rivera and was pleasantly surprised! It’s a small restaurant but very clean with a fresh, modern vibe and trendy music. Everything looks new, which made the experience even better.

The server was attentive at the start, though he didn’t come back to check if we needed additional refills. The dumplings were on the smaller side and a bit pricey, but they were packed with flavor and definitely worth trying. The pho itself was hot, delicious, and very satisfying.

Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back to try more items from the menu. This place is worth checking out if you’re in the area!”

“I was with my coworker and craving a great pozole and this spot definitely didn’t disappoint. Solid old school diner decor with a homely feel.

I had their steak and pozole/menudo aka “50/50” and it was delicious. Lots of meet, tripe and nicely sized hominy. Loved it and perfectly seasoned. The steak was seasoned to perfection and was medium well, I prefer medium rare but it was still very delicious. Excellent customer service and a solid spot to stop your soup cravings.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.”

People that paid after me got their food before. I waited an extra 40 min to get my food. Until I went to the lady at the register and they didn't even prepare my food. All I got was 1 shrimp tostada and 1 shrimp taco. . The food was good but the service is horrible.”

The masa-to-meat ratio is light, soft, and flavorful without being dry or heavy, and the balance is spot on. The masa has real flavor and isn’t bland.
Across the board, every bite hits and leaves you wanting more. Nothing feels heavy or overdone, just really good flavor from start to finish. Also, there’s salsa with the green chile and cheese, which isn’t something you usually see with tamales. It adds extra flavor without overpowering them and brings everything together.
These tamales check all the boxes, and if there were a tamale competition, they would absolutely be contenders. Worth trying if you’re serious about good tamales, just don’t wait too long, she sells out fast. No photos this round, that should tell you enough. I’ll add photos next time. 😋”

“I placed an order for pick up (it’s quicker for me as a mom of two toddlers) so when I arrived our order was ready and we decided to sit and dine there. The service was amazing, the place was so clean and the employee refilling all the supplies while we ate was so attentive. He was a young gentlemen, I was not able to see his name tag as he was moving so quickly and efficiently. Even though he was working on his own projects he was still attentive and helping customers around him, including us. My son spilled some food on the floor and I notified him about it so no one would slip, and he was so kind and patient. He said not to worry about it, and took care of it. Loved this location. You don’t see great customer service these days and the pico Rivera location goes above and beyond for their customers.”

I normally go to the Pico Union one but this one has easier parking and more seating. They also have more selection but I've never gotten anything but the chicken. It was hot and fresh and as always addicting.”
