“A vegetarian who hates beer walks into a brewery bbq place. Probably not a great idea but when you're with a group of people you go with the flow.
The guy working helped me pick out what to drink and eat. I had a guava seltzer heavy on the guava and it was AMAZING, I like that you can control how much flavoring is added.
I ordered mac n cheese to eat and it was pretty good too.
I may have to come back with my meat eating beer drinking husband.”

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!”

“Taphouse is one of those super underrated gems of placerville! Although I worked there, the main reason I actually applied for a job was because of the great food, and amazing atmosphere. As a former employee, it’s still one of my absolute favorites to visit.”

“Unbelievable food! I am so excited to have discovered this foothill gem on a whim. The Place is a little out of the way, but WELL worth the trip. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside. For main courses… take your pick. The pizza— traditional Napoli Italian style— is perfect, no matter which one you choose. The other entrees are just as good. Don’t be put off by the use of polenta in place of traditional pasta. I was skeptical at first, but the first bite washed away all misgivings. These people know how to cook! Bene, Cirino’s, Sergio’s, Three Forks… all the best Italian places in the foothills will have to fight for second place.”

“Honesty, Gold Hill Winery probably not the best one among the area, but it won’t be a bad one, cause there are many different types of the wine for tasting. Also, the owner, which is an old lady seems like a fun person, she waived my tasting fee since I went there on a Thursday. If one thing I not feel quite good, that might be the deposited ashes of the grape left in the glass. To leave the customer a better tasting experience, they could add a cap with filter on the top of the bottle of the wines, so those ashes of the grapes will not fall into the glass with the fluid.”

“Great decorations. Even the bathrooms look like a forest. When we arrived, we were all given a light-up wreath crown, which we were able to take home. There were 5 of us and we had the fondue dinner. Each course was more food than we could eat. Started with cheese fondue. Main course was pieces of filet mignon, chicken, meatballs and giant shrimp cooked in oil and finished with chocolate fondue. Delicious. Our waiter, Miles, was outstanding. Made sure we were well taken care of.”

“I went to Annie's for the first time today and ordered the Mexicali sandwich and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich had just the right amount of spiciness to it with the chipotle sauce and jalapenos. The fries were amazing and crispy too. Everyone that works there was very attentive and super friendly. I live right around the corner and I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and mimosas. I told my husband it was a 10 out of 10.”

“My husband and I were craving Chinese food so we headed up to Placerville to try the restaurant on Placerville Dr only to find out it was closed due to damage from a car. So we googled other locations close by and ended up at Grand China. We've lived in EDC for years and never knew that it was even there. Since this is on the back side of the shopping center and can be easily missed. I have to say the food was excellent, it was so tasty and light, not greasy at all like many other restaurants! The owner and wait staff were so nice, the atmosphere was great too. The portions were generous and I was actually so happy that we had leftovers to take home and enjoy again.We'll definitely be back to this hidden treasure behind Mickey D's!! ?”

We ordered egg rolls(which were really spring rolls), pot stickers that were stuffed full and very delicious, bbq pork chow mein(noodles were more like chow fun), honey walnut prawns that were absolutely delicious, sweet and sour pork absolutely delicious, and chicken with string beans which was absolutely amazing! I am sure we have enough leftovers for a few more meals!

My one and only complaint is that the atmosphere of the restaurant was a little bit run-down. Everything was serviceable, but just looked worn out. Unlike other places I've eaten, however, I genuinely do not feel like this issue is born out of a lack of care on the Staffs' side. They seem to really care about the location, and do the best with what they've got.

“I was having a really bad day, then I saw this place and it did not disappoint. The frozen yogurt was firm coming out of the machine (a must for a good review from me---I HATE melty ice cream or any other frozen desert), and the chocolate flavor was really rich and good. When I am treating myself to the handful of times I eat frozen yogurt a year, I make it super double, extra chocolatey. Choc frozen yogurt, choc sprinkles, oreo crumbles and choc chips if they have them. YAAAAESSSS! It was mid-afternoon and not only was it a bad day, but I had not eaten anything till that point. The young lady working was kind, friendly and professional, the toppings seemed fresh and tidy (not gross and mixed together). I will be back when I am heading through Placerville and need a chocolate fix! Thank you!”

Herbed tea is special, and the slaw is a special recipe. Food comes out quickly and hot! And the view from the patio is amazing any time of day. Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.”

Jordan and her team of coordinators were very helpful and communicative during the whole planning process and pulled off all our decor and last minute items super well! All staff is very friendly and approachable. The environment is casual , but classy and the surroundings are unmatched for unbelievable photos! Our guests all said it was one, if not the best wedding they've attended. The lake house is an added bonus as well and we plan to return to stay in their super comfy beds!”

It wasn’t a bad experience at all, but if you’re looking for service beyond the ordinary, this isn’t the place; its feel is more of a big-city Starbucks than a small-town coffee shop. On the positive side, I’ve never waited long for a drink here.”

Two of us are very picky eaters and I have eaten at many of these 24-hour Mexican drive-thrus, but this was seriously some of the best Mexican food I think I have ever had anywhere!
