I guess all good things come to an end. Just had the saddest experience at heyday. This kitchen crew is pathetic. Not worth the money..... NOW CLOSED!

Enjoyed a late lunch here on our drive back from Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area. Didn't get to try their Lobster Bisque since they were out (Friday ~2pm), but our daughter loved their clam chowder. The Baked Brie was so delicious - served with warm bread, dried fruit, grilled onions and truffles. It was gone within a few minutes! For our mains, the crab cake sliders were fine, nothing spectacular. But their Salmon Salad was a hit! The salmon was cooked just right, not too dry, with a lightly sweet, refreshing dressing. I wish I could bottle up the dressing and take it home! We'll definitely be coming back when we're in town again.

This restaurant gets very busy and can feel a bit crowded. I went here on a rainy day during the holidays and loved the ambiance, the historic building and the view of the Carey House Hotel. We had their soup which was good as well as the Brie appetizer. The appetizer was pricey and portions were small. The prices for everything were kind of high. I think I would give this place another chance but didn't feel very enthusiastic about it.

One of my favorite restaurants on the Placerville strip. Seating is limited so you may want to make a reservation. Service is good and all of the entrees were well received by our group.

Phenomenal food, service is always so kind and welcoming. The ambiance is elegant and cozy especially when you sit at the window seats and can see the bustle in town.

The food here is always great, however, the service was severely lacking. Our waiter took a long time to even acknowledge us, when he did he kept saying he's be with us shortly. Finally, he came and took our order. It took him about 25 minutes to bring us our drinks. He kept saying they were short staffed. (Everyone else seemed to be served in a timely manner by the female server). I noticed him the entire time chatting and laughing at the bar with some people there. We finally got our food ONE HOUR after we ordered. In the meantime, people that came in after us got their food and had already finished! He keep apologizing but justifying it by saying they were short staffed and it was the busiest day in the year. Whatever. Then the next time he came around he apologized and said he was training someone!? Needless to say, we were the last people in the restaurant. (and we had a reservation). If you go, don't let Tyler wait on you!

Holy smokes! Soo tasty! Pizza was simple but sooo good. No joke! We were shocked! Made a quick pit stop to charge the EV on the way to Apple Hill and grabbed some lunch nearby. Totally worth it. (Potato salad was also good. Perfect amount of dill and the pickles...the pickles....yum!)
