This place is a gem. Had the elk burger, wagon wheel, garlic fries, sweet potato dollops, grilled veg, split pea soup, and chicken Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. A lot of places give you bland steamed veg, but this place had really tasty sautéed veg. The kids ate all of it. Definitely a good place to stop in the way home from Tahoe.
Coming from Tahoe and driving to the Bay Area not knowing we’re to stop to eat . Oh yeah I’m a food snob. Food was amazing very detailed. For sure this will be my stop when we go to south lake. Burgers and chicken sandwiches were amazing. Friendly, quick service too.

John and his staff serve lunch that is locally sourced and organic. There's always a line to order, but well worth the wait. The elk burger is awesome. John and his staff are gracious and skilled. It's like coming home to family every time I walk in.
