My family loves Spicy Bowl!!!... I feel regret writing a review after I realize it was closed. Spicy Fish, Ma Po Tofu and so much more -- My kids and I like them very very much.

Great food always, and a good family runs the restaurant!

We love Spicy Bowl! Convenient, quick, clean, friendly family owned restaurant. Our favorite dishes are honey walnut prawns, cashew chicken, beef w/string beans. Due to Covid we just call our order in and it's ready in 20. Love this place! Our go to Chinese food restaurant in Pleasanton!

Good food here!! Super friendly staff. I ordered the salt and pepper prawns, Orange Chicken and Pork fried Rice. The food was delicious. The only thing was that our spicy sauce was super salty. I don't know if that the norm here as it was my fiest time but the food and service makes it worth coming here.

Vegetarian review. Still go to those place occasionally for the spicy basil tofu. Hand down the best place for Tofu which melts in your mouth. It is so flavorful and well made. Fried rice is average of taking home but if you eat it fresh feels like it has more flavor. We will certainly continue to go back here. We have already introduced the place to all of our family members and will continue to spread the word. Only reason it's missing a star is because sometimes the hours are a bit unexpectedly over the holidays and the phone isn't always picked up. Rest assured that if you go in person because the phone wasn't answered the place will be closed. If they're not answering the phone (which happens often enough to be a turn off for some people) there's a reason. This means I can't always have this food and at the mercy of the owner. Over all the food is good enough that none of that bothers me I'm just happy to go when they're open.

I love this place. It has become one of our favorites. The high quality food with right amount of spices. If you want some kick, ask them to make it spicy. Our favorite is egg flower soup, hot and sour soup, basil chicken, veggie chow mein and fried rise. The staffs are attentive and very responsive.

Called at 11:30 am , nobody picks up the phone .Went there instead at 11:33 am today but place is closed. All chairs were on top of the tables. What time do they really open?

Best Chinese restraunt in the east bay, extremely fast and flavorful! Orders rarely take more then 10 minutes!

Very mediocre food

Honestly the food was great. Usually we go to the Hunan chef in the same parking lot but it was just as good for the items we got. Give spicy bowl a try!

We have ordered from this place many times, and the portion and taste are always consistent. The food is delicious and it is one of our favorite places to take out Chinese in the area.

This place was very average. I didn't find much flavor in the tofu but the noodles were good. I probably would try a different Chinese place next time

Fantastic food and great owner. Some of my favorites that they do especially well is their orange chicken and their fried rice

I was looking for some soup to have on a cold Jan. evening. I, by accident, came across Spicy Bowl. The restaurant was very clean and smart Covid practices were obvious. I ordered 3 different soups , won ton, sweet corn with chicken and hot and sour. They are listed in the order of our preferences. Their soups were clean, not oily or greasy, fresh, hearty (generous with ingredients) and pipping hot. The person who waited on me was not friendly. Maybe it was a busy night. I did see several to go orders. We are curious about the other menu items and are looking forward to future orders. Livermore is not too far to travel for premium food.
