“Pretty good selection of micro-brews. It may be a little smaller than the offering they had when they were located a few doors down at the corner of Gary & 2nd, but it's good enough. I've now forgotten the wheat ale I ordered, but it was local and it was good. The brisket sandwich I ordered was outstanding. We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.”

“Craving for lobster after a trip to Jamaica. Yamon!! This place was awesome. Lobster Market Price is not bad. You can build your own meal. The lobster and shrimps were juicy and not over cooked. Our server was so polite and welcoming. She was helpful in making our decision. The menu is just right. Lots of stuff we must come back for to taste.

But we also ordered a botana, and that was delicious. Also, the waiter was too busy watching a soccer game on TV then taking care of us.”

The food and service are excellent in every sense of the word. The bread and baklava were made fresh! The Turkish Delights were phenomenal. The owner and staff went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable and welcome, explaining the menu items in detail. We are so excited to have come across this gem!!! It is the type of culinary and cultural experience that my husband and I treasure. We will be coming again soon, both with and without friends! “My work moved near the area so was looking for some food spots. Came across this place. Man has food gotten expensive nowadays. Anyways it's still comparable to other places. I ordered the beef soft sofu and a salmon skin salad. I didn't eat the salad yet but I tried a piece of the salmon skin and it tasted good. As for the soft tofu its decent. I ordered medium spice but it's not spicy at all. Maybe I try spicy next time. This is a nice cozy spot. Not bad for lunch”

I prefer the Pork & Shrimp vs one or the other. I’ve never been to a place that uses rice noodles in their spring rolls instead of sprouts. Very nice touch and makes these top notch! Give them a try. “I was craving Bánh Mì but I’m still relatively new to the Pomona area so I decided to look up some spots and decided on this place because although it doesn’t have as many reviews as other restaurants I was considering, this one had all five star reviews. I’m glad to say I now know why. The food was just simply amazing!
My boyfriend and I got the Bánh Mì Gà (Chicken Sandwich) and Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (Grilled Meat Sandwich) the bread was a bit crispier than ones I’ve had in the past but nonetheless the taste for these were the best. We also got Tôm Rang Muối (Roasted Salted Shrimp) and Gỏi Cuốn (Fresh Spring Rolls) for appetizers, you can never go wrong with spring rolls and the shrimp were perfectly crispy and had so much flavor with the perfect amount of spiciness, next time we go I’m definitely ordering the shrimp again. The couple running the restaurant are also very friendly and welcoming and super attentive to give the best service.
As another review stated this really is a hidden gem, it doesn’t seem to get a lot of foot traffic but definitely deserves more so if you’re in the area make sure to drop by for some good eats!”

She has an amazing hand in detailing the piñatas and has earned a loyal customer. I recently asked if she could custom make a dinosaur piñata that I liked on Etsy, she did such an amazing job it looked just like the picture. The Patty melt was not eaten for hours afterwards and after I earned it up, it was still fire!
