“This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is warm and friendly which is evident from all interactions with every staff member. The food and service are excellent in every sense of the word. The bread and baklava were made fresh! The Turkish Delights were phenomenal. The owner and staff went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable and welcome, explaining the menu items in detail. We are so excited to have come across this gem!!! It is the type of culinary and cultural experience that my husband and I treasure. We will be coming again soon, both with and without friends! We can’t wait to try some of the items on the patio grill. :)”

The lineup for the VIP meet and greet was chaos. Nobody from the venue was letting any of us know where to lineup so people were lined up on both sides of the doors and eventually crowded around a single person in front of the doors to get signed in. It was so confusing.”

They have promotions and they have a karyoke wendsday which is fun. Low food rating is because they have snacks (nachos and hot dogs , also reasonably priced) and a vending machine (expensive) not a fan of the smoking indoors but it doesn't bother me much tbh. By the end of the night I was singing and having a great time. It is what it is a community watering hole just to meet up hang out and drink.”

Chicken is always juicy; the rice is always flavorful; the salad has the perfect acidity level and balance of components; hummus is clearly house-made; the toum is rich and potent.

The food is great, and the entire place is usually run by one fella, so have some patience- it's not McDonalds, it won't be ready in 30 seconds.

Slow down and enjoy yourself- well worth the wait. Don't bother with food delivery, just drive down there like a normal human being.

My only gripe? The pita could be warmer. That's it- that's my only complaint.”

We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.”

Went home and paired those leftoves with some pancakes and syrup. The gift that keeps on giving. The fried chicken wings with, i believe it was thai sauce, were delicious as well. “A neat little coffee shop that appears to be a starter, nestled inside a car wash. Where other coffee shops in the area serve typical and, frankly, tired out flavored lattes, Ma Lupes Cafe is bold enough to be more authentic and adventurous. I mean, c'mon...a Nuez Latte! That's bold, new, creative, and 👏🏽au👏🏽then👏🏽tic!

I ended up trying the Nuez Latte and Mocha Oaxaqueña Latte, both iced with oatmilk. Oh my goodness. The Mocha Oaxaqueña is absolutely not your typical 'Abuelitas' chocolate BS. Instead, it's a uniquely bold, semi-sweet flavor of cacao that isn't too sugary and just perfectly satisfying. I was personally hooked at my first sip. As for the Nuez Latte, yet another uniquely flavorful sip! Nuez is a staple in Mexican sweets. One of those, if you know, you know situations that a ton of other coffee shops....well, just don't seem to know. This latte is amazing because it has that light sweetness of pecans, but they also make it so that it adds some slight texture of grounded pecans to your sips. Also topped with whole pecans? C'mon now... Absolute genius and a very satisfying latte.

Look, these days it's pretty difficult to get a coffee business thriving in a market that's saturated. It made complete sense for an early growing business to be in a shared space. I sincerely hope that this coffee shop continues to thrive and grow. They seem to have put a lot of genuine heart and thought into their drinks. Please check this spot out and support them. Personally, I highly recommend these two drinks if it's your first time. 👌🏽”

“I’ve come here daily for weeks since its conveniently right next to my job.

When the food is made fresh it’s as good as any other Mexican food in Pomona.

My only grievance is what feels like a lack of appreciation for customers who spend their money with them daily.

I had one of their rewards cards where you get a sticker for every visit with a purchase over $5.99. I was 2 stickers away from the free combo and somehow lost the card. I came the next day and asked for a new one and if they could at least credit me for the first row. Got told “that’s too bad, sorry”.

Maybe I’m being entitled but that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Burrito I got today was fire. they charge $1 for fries instead of regular boiled potatoes inside of a Cali burrito the way it’s supposed to be made but I pay it every time lol.”

“I know this shop used to have a not so great reputation in the 90's early 2000's, but honestly this is my go to now for croissants, deep fried fish, and some other Chinese stuff on the side. They have variety as far as their food and I personally love their ham/cheese/jalapeño croissants and their maple bars. Fried fish and chicken is definitely solid compared to other chain restaurants. If you're a pomona local check them out and stop by for breakfast or lunch! ❤️”

It's a small little kiosk outside, but if you get a chance go there you won't be disappointed. They are $4 a piece.”
