Food's good, but don't really appreciate the tip option (starting from 15%)..

First of all this place is a mess!! The service was bad, took so long and after waited for 45mins we had to remind them whether our foods were ready??! We kept back and forth to take the condiments like hot sauce etc, ourselves!! Because there was only 1 server!! And when we paid, they ‘FORCED CUSTOM’ the machine, gave us no choice to give 15% tip, for zero service. As far as I concern they don’t deserve any tip for their lousy service!!And they purposely added the packed snacks we picked to go m, along with our dine in foods. So the total amount would be greater than the actual dine in price!!! My my.Bad things after another. The foods were okay, not over the top but not bad.I doubtly we will ever come back here!! But they don’t care. They don’t care abt the customer reviews and all. This place was wayyy better couple of years ago. It’s ridiculous now !!!

Today was so busy and packed. We got to find seat, grab the menu, get water by OURSELVES. We even had to make ourselves to be heard and seen to get someone would take our orders, while a couple who just got seated after us, were taken their orders first. And, the lady (long hair) put the tips 15% over total bill automatically(including snacks on the counter that we packed OURSELVES) because we were party of 5. We wouldn’t mind if you did your part too, like seated us, handed us the menus and brought water for us, took our order as per first come first serve. So we tip you for what? Bad service? That’s a basic thing in restaurants industry isn’t it?Now, let’s talk about the same lady at the checkout when we were about to pay. She answered 2 questions from 2 other customers rudely, I was like, wow, customers brought their business to you and you served them depends on how your mood is?No one deserves this lady attitude. Pls treat your Indonesians fellow the same as others and also either you know them personally or not, all of them deserve the same quality of service. Never seen this lady before most of my visits but she shouldn’t be allowed to be dealing with customers if she keeps her attitude like that. As much as I like Indonesian food, for me service is #1.

Both the rendang and empal dishes were marred by chewy and rubbery beef, making them nearly impossible to finish.

This place is getting better and better. The batagor is delicious. The pork satay is delicious, the Padang satay doesn't have a very tasty seasoning. ???

I ate here many times in the past. They were okay. Never been too delicious but also never been bad. Considering rather difficult to find absolutely authentic Indonesian food overseas. So last time I wemt there, IDK what went wrong with this place. It was a normal peak rest hr (sat ard 12pm). I mean you have opened the rest for so long, there’re no excuse for sloppy service. We have to que to pay, we waited 50mins for order! When it finally came out sssssoooo dissapointed!!! The chicken was ULTRA SALTY!!! When I complained they only gave me 20% disc lol!! I only ate 5% of what’s on the plate. Straight to hell salty!! Iake. The quality is going downhill. Wasted my time. Will never come back! No thanks

Located just off Miliken Ave in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is this LOVELY GEM of an Indonesian restaraunt, Java Bistro. The food, service and atmosphere here is absolutely amazing. The restaraunt is small, yet bustling with the sould of kitchen noises and the Indonesian language being spoken (Bahasa?) with a slight touch of music in the background. Now, to be completely honest, this is NOT my first time eating here by any means. Due to my travels, I come around the area frequently and try to eat here whenever possible. My favorite dish(es) are: Nasi Campur (Nahs-ee Cham-poor), which is a bunch of delicious types of pork (pork belly, sausage, etc) served on a bed of rice with clear soup, slices of cucumber, a liquidy sweet/savory sauce and Sambal (Saahm-ball); Satay Kambing (Sah-tay Kam-bing) which is bits of Lamb on a bamboo kebab skewer (served with a sweet/spicy sauce, and on a bed of rice if you choose); And Tahu Isi (Ta-who Eee-see) which is basically an egg roll, except it is Tofu stuffed with the same filling, battered and deliciously fried. I also buy some of the things on the table at the front, such as various cakes, stuffed rice things, and so on.Another plis about this place is that I can come here to get for myself and my wife, some Indonesian foodstuffs from the attached store. Stuff like Sambal (a chili sauce, to which there's MANY types), durian (a stinky, yet delicious fruit), Indonesian Ramen (Indomie is the national favorite and biggest brand), and so... Much... More! So, if you want to try some unique yet delicious food AND you'd like to try your hand with some of the local stuff they import, then THIS is the best place you'll eat in the area! I promise that you won't be sorry you ate here!!Dietary restrictions: Not the place for you if you have peanut or seafood allergies, for risk of possible cross-contamination.

My Indonesian friends invited us for dinner. It was a small place in a small commercial complex. Kinda hidden area . We weren't disappointed. If you are adventurous to taste authentic Indonesian delicacies this is the place. We tried their fried fish cake with tofu , fish crackers with peanut sauce. Great starter for appetizer. It was freshly cooked.Main dish was pork sate with indo sausage, fish cake with rice. I got the sweet egg noodle with sauté mushrooms pork and steamed bokchoy was delicious. The noodle was homemade by the owner and tasted good. The dessert was shaved iced with coconut milk and condensed. That was so yummy. Service is a little slow due to cooking it when you order. Waiting is worthy. They have an Indonesian little grocery as well . Good place to taste Indo delicacies. Surprisingly a lot of take out orders was noticeable.

visited this spot after reading such good and perfect reviews about this place but it was disappointing. All the reviews stated that the service was outstanding and friendly however, it was the complete opposite. Waited forever to be seated, even when I was seated the server was being rude and difficult. Took forever to get the servers attention to order the food as well. There were barely any customers inside the store and the food took almost an hour to get when we ordered only 2 small dishes. The food was below average, no flavor and was overall embarrassing. The ambiance of the place was unpleasant as well. The inside of the store was very musty and even the tables are dirty. Don't waste your time and your money and just go somewhere else. Maybe it's the location, but won't be coming back and no one else should.
