Staff is great, this is as traditional as a pizza place as you can get - lots of picnic style tables and TV's along with video games in the back. It's fun to watch them make the pizzas, there's a window to view them from the sidewalk. Owner also has some Mexican restaurants so they bring in tacos, makes for a great place for appetizers!

This place had long been a staple of Alta Loma. Anyone who has ever played sports growing up will forget it. After we won 3 games in a row it was PIZZA PARTY TIME! PR wad one of the parlors that sponsors trams, but always has the best pizza. No matter how far I move I will ALWAYS make Pizza Royal a MUST stop when I visit Cali.

Even though there's new owners the pizza is still as good as the first time I ate here in 1971.

First time going here and we had a great experience. The pizza was amazing! So much cheese and the bottom was crispy. The staff was very friendly and atmosphere was good ol' fun. I will say it did take a long time to get our food but we had beer and it was worth the wait. My suggestion would be to maybe have a kids show or movie playing because all that was on was news and basketball so when you are waiting for a long time for food the kids get antsy. Will definitely be coming back.

Pizza Royal - was a favorite to visit and eat really great Pizza. Our recent visit had some changes we were not happy with. First, the bathrooms were not in working condition and the associate taking our order did not mention it, and the "new" owner sitting a few tables away didn't think to mention it. Not very good customer service. Second, the pizza crust was so thin and hollow - not sure if they consider this their version of "hand tossed dough?" Third, the plates and silverware were exactly that, now they offer paper plates and plastic silverware. The establishment has changed and as dedicated customers - we may be looking for a new Pizza place to visit.

This place has gone dooooowwnn hill, like a steep steep hill, those kinds of hills you can't even catch your feet on and you just face plant, kind of like the cheese does when you lift up your pizza....that's how bad it is! Ever since the new ownership I feel like this place is being ran by people who only ever cooked with an Easy Bake Oven. Pizza sucks!! thin, hard, cheese falls off...salad isn't what it used to be, looks like they got a few pieces of salami from home and threw it on a bag of salad from McDonald's across the street. Not only does the food suck, but you get served with paper plates now as if you're having a picnic at redhill park down the street....maybe not enough funds to hire dish washers? I don't know what's going on here, but you should just avoid it like the plague. On top of all that, some friends just went the other day and had pizza oven brushes all in their pizza and the "manager" didn't even offer them a new pizza or a credit wth!!! That's just bad business!!! I mean they have TV's and arcade for the kids, so maybe grab some pizza to go from somewhere else and go enjoy the game while your kids use the arcade? take it as you will, or take it serious and just don't go. Let's boycott this new ownership. This place used to be our favorite, not it's our last resort after our last last resort, and then some. Won't be going back...not even if there's a fire!

We called in a pick up order, we ordered a medium pizza and a cold sub sandwich, they said okay it will be 20 minutes. We waited until the 20 minute mark to leave the house because we live around the corner so we thought it would be ready. My husband got there and nothing was ready, they said about 10 minutes. After waiting almost 25 extra minutes he finally got our order. He brings it home after being upset for having to wait and the pizza was fine but they made a hot sub sandwich instead of a cold one and it was not very good. This place used to be so good, we've tried it over and over again and it seems to be getting worse.

I GIVE NO STARS! DO NOT EAT HERE! Bad customer service. Found bristles in the pizza. Alerted the staff and they didn't care one way or the other. They were absolutely rude and don't have any type of customer courtesy. We just bought it to their attention. We didn't ask nor wanted a refund but they treated us as if we did.

Whenever I ate a slice of their pizza at the football game at Alta Loma, their pizza was so good but some people gave this place bad reviews but to be fair, I only tried a slice of their pizza and the first bite was so good that I feel like it is probably the best pizza around here

This place is a joke. The girl behind the counter is crying from stress, and has no idea what to do. There quarter machine for my kids is taking money and the workers say there is nothing they can do. I have waited over an hour for a small pizza, and still haven't received my beer. I was very kind to the register girl and tipped her for no reason. They are still rude and unprofessional. If I didn't care about spit in my food I would complain. I will never come here again.

After the new owners took over, this place has lost all its charm. They've gutted the seating area and added TVs on as many surfaces as possible, feels claustrophobic instead of a nice place to take the family and eat pizza with a game on in the background. They have also stopped offering the gluten free crust because they "dont make enough money on it". Since multiple members of my family have gluten allergies, there is no reason to go back. Thankfully, The Pizza Guys and Barbonies still offer GF crusts, so we will be going there instead.

This place is under new owners and decided to try it. The first time was disappointed but gave it a second shot and this time dined in. Overall, pizza was very good and they have the amazing broasted chicken that I like. The place seems to be revamped to include numerous TVs and a brighter interior. I support local business and appreciate them so I would strongly recommend. My only suggestion is that the staff needs to be friendlier. Oh, and great beer selection.

I used to get this salad all the time. But this time it's not so good. This is a large salad. I thought my mom had eaten some of it...she didn't. I'm so disappointed. Oh and the young man that works there, he's something else. He was yawning the whole time I was waiting for my food and somehow or another brought up that he'd 'never hire an older person because they wouldn't last.' Boy please. No one wanted to work there...shoot they probably won't last cuz it's too damn slow...
