Staying at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort, Ember is the only restaurant option. A group of us had lunch here and there were some delicious items and some inedible ones.Our favorite appetizers were the Cauliflower Bites with spicy ginger sauce and the Brussels Sprouts with pomegranate, cotija cheese, and chipotle-vinaigrette. A pleasant surprise. Beautiful heated patio on a bright but chilly afternoon. Quiet and quite posh. Not overrun with the winter tourist crowd. Excellent, courteous service that you would expect from the Omni brand. Small lunch menu with delicious options. Perfectly seared ahi. Pull up at the porte cochere for valet parking.

Food was okay, but just had apps. Service was good, but he didn't seem to know much about the hotels other menus and restaurants. Ambiance was kind of dark and uninviting. It was after 6 on a Thursday before Stagecoach weekend. I just expected a little more.
