“My goto plate place since the mid-2000s. The pricing has been increasing, but the food portion and quality are about the same, and it's around 16 to 20$ a plate currently. The place has little parking up front and a small eating area, so I highly recommend phoning in the order and picking it up to go. The katsu and beef dishes ironically are better than the chicken teriyaki dishes as well.“

“The California Zen mocktail is probably the best thing I’ve ever had. Candied ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, ginger…“

“The chocolate mousse is out of this world. The atmosphere is magical at this hidden gem (we were at the location by Malaga). They've got a non-alcoholic mojito that's also wonderful. I almost took up coffee drinking after five years caffeine free, due to their Spanish latte, which has condensed milk in it. We'll be back.“

“I've been here a handful of times and each time the food flavor is consistently yummy. This last time we ordered tacos, I got both shredded beef and they were bomb. The crunchiness and freshness of the tortilla was unmatched to any other place I've been to, it tasted freshly made. The veggies were fresh which is always good. The salsa is a little spicy if you're not used to eating salsa with some added spice. It's definitely not mild either, so beware when ordering the free salsa if you aren't prepared to take the heat. It's no pico de gallo Their house chips are equally good, but need added salt if you like yours plan then they are perfect. A bonus with Maria's is that the chips and salsa are free of charge as a courtesy of the restaurant. Now, I love this because you don't see this too often now a days so it's nice to go to a Mexican restaurant and get that original welcoming feeling of warm chips and fresh salsa on the house. Didn't take a picture of the horchata, but I gotta say I do love it here. I'm very picky with horchata, I don't like mine thick or creamy and theirs is neither. It's tasty and has the perfect amount of horchata grain one would expect. Not overly milky either, just right for my taste buds. It goes well with the chips and salsa as mentioned it's a little spicy so a drink from this refreshing horchata makes it more palatable. Giving it 4 stars because during the lunch hour it got pretty busy and we had to ask for service on our chips and salsa a few times. My friend knows the owner so we always get a special green salsa served to us as well with meat chunks in it. Not sure what it's called, but it's served warm and is so good. That one isn't spicy, it's flavorful and a comfort salsa for sure. They typically have TVs on with soccer games, so the ambiance is medium noise level. People typically come in, eat and head out. Not like us, haha we linger and chat and then head out because this place is cozy and feels comfortable enough to do so. I only wish they had booths. If you're in town looking for a solid Mexican restaurant, I'd give this unassuming place a try. It's definitely way better than some other well known Mexican places in town. The owners are very sweet as well. Check it out!! I'll definitely keep coming back.“

“This is hand down the **BEST** poke place we have found! We moved away to Long Beach and have tried several local places but none of them come close in quality or taste. We actually still make the drive to come back to All About Poke in San Pedro since it is unmatched. Not only is the food amazing - the staff that prepares it is as well. In fact, Sunny still remembers our orders without even us having to tell them to her! First class service. You will not find a better place out there - trust me, we've looked!“
“Probably the best Sunday Brunch I’ve had anywhere in LA. Delicious food. Fabulous classy atmosphere. Gorgeous views. Impeccable service. Beautiful all-around. 5/5.“

“My sister and I came in on September 16th (a little before noon). We had a wonderful visit. Heleina (the hostess) was very pleasant and professional. And, our server (FERNANDO) was amazing!!! He really "took care of us". And, the food was great!!! Becky (the manager) "runs that Denny's real nice!"“

“Good crust and ingredients. I drive about an hour total for them, they're that good. You should check your pizza before leaving though. The service took a big hit around 2022 so I have gone less, but this year I was in the area more and have had no issues thus far. Hope they're able to regain their former glory!“

“Very fun first experience. Fried rice was really good. Dumplings were good- but that have PEANUTS, so beware! Wonton soup was good. We didn't enjoy the meat with the bone. Definitely try this place out! This is a very unassuming place. It's in an area where I wouldn't expect there to be good Chinese food. But here we have it. Very solid, comforting Chinese food for the soul. The prices are all very reasonable, the portions are good, and everything is very well-rounded. What's great is that they also have lots of seating. I'd say the biggest negative though is parking. I've always been lucky to find street parking, but I'm not sure how luck you can get every time. Beef noodle soup 5/5 - kind of wish the portion was bigger. Maybe because i got to-go. Broth was good, lots of meat Beef rolls 5/5 - delicious hint of salty, sweet, great meat, crispy dough, good amount of green onions. I took these home and they were just as dank heated up in the air fryer Green onion pancake - 3.5/5 - i loveee g.o. Pancakes and smashed these ofc, but nothing very special about them. Maybe need more g.o. Would be cool if they made their own soy/sauce to pair i did like how light they were & easy to eat This place was great. Will be back!! Amazing food and quick service! You order, pay, and find a seat first, and then the food comes out. I personally like this system, because I didn't need to wait after finishing my food to leave. We ordered the pork dumplings, potstickers, shrimp wontons, dan dan noodles, and peking meat pie. All of the food was good, and the dumplings were especially delicious. They also had great chili oil. I would definitely come again. Our boss took us here for our Christmas luncheon. Everything we ordered was super delicious. You need to try bacon fried rice, sweet & sour pork ribs, salted lime peanuts, pork dumplings, garlic chicken wings yummy, shrimp won ton, beef wrap, and the pineapple mango lemonade. Must try. It gets busy. Come early. If you see all booths and tables filled there is an extra section towards the rear in a hidden corner where another 16 people can fit. I like how they have plates, napkins, utensils at your reach as well as too go boxes and bags. You dont have to ask for a thing its readily available. I will definitely go again. I loved it. Crispy chicken, cumin lamb, and beef rolls are must-try items. Beyond delicious! Will scarf again!!! Went there for lunch with some folks! It was amazing! Ordered all the food and sat down, got a couple of tables together and boom! The food came in waves! Just one dish after another! The staff was so friendly! Super nice! Awesome experience. Great setup. Order and get yourself the plates and utensils and to go boxes and bags. Awesome Only thing that sucked was parking. But we found some meters so boom! Visiting for the weekend and saw this was a straight shot from our hotel. Let me just say I've never had dumplings this delicious in my entire life! Tender, flavorful and juicy. The chili oil was so damn delicious and complimented the wontons flavor without overtaking it. I will visit LA again just for these! Found this on Google Maps because it was near the Shrine and holy moly it was really good! Soup dumplings were b b b b bussin and scallion pancakes were great too. Give this palce a try! I would eat here every day. The Dan Dan noodles were so good with the bok Choy and the fried beef dumpling -- I could eat 14 of them. I want to try the whole menu Food is consistent and good. I've never been disappointed. my fave are pan fried or soup dumplings. Shrimp fried rice. And their soups or house noodles. Just great food . And there's no negative experiences when eating at this place because everything is just tasty and gorgeous...“

“My favorite adult place to hang out when at Terranea. Relaxing with amazing views. There is a glass wall that offers protection from wind. Sat out in the sun at 58 degrees and was very comfortable. Good food and drinks. Very cool and low key.“

“Great local place. The interior is cozy and have some beautiful decor including small water features. The food was prepared timely and still tasted great; it wasn't the best thai food I had as the flavors weren't as potent and there was no spice level I chose from to help amplify. Pricing was fair for the portions and quality. We had great service after they accommodated us from originally getting take out to instead being seated. Overall, good place.“

“The service was good and of course, the view of the ocean was nice. I did not care for the pop music that was playing the entire time I was there. Also, it was a cold day and their heat lamps were on, but hardly any heat was coming out of them and according to one of the servers they were “waiting for the tanks to run out because they were almost empty and then they would replace the fuel tanks which would make it warmer”. They never changed them while I was there, so it was just cold. The food was good but the vegetables seemed under cooked. We ordered 2 yellow curries and the potatoes and carrots were hard. The flavor was good overall but I did not care for the undercooked vegetables. I would give this place another try, mainly because I like the location but I wasn't super impressed with the food.“

“THE BEST POKE IN THE SOUTH BAY!!! I have been coming to poke me for years and I hope this place never changes. The fish here is SOOOO fresh and they always have the best toppings. I have been to almost all the poke places in the South Bay many times and consistently say poke me is the best. My favorites are the yellowtail and tuna, alone with the seaweed and crab salad. I love a mix of the truffle shoyu, spicy mayo and some ponzu. Don't forget to get crispy garlic and onions on top!!! They are a must. It's a casual restaurant where you order up front and get to choose your toppings as you walk by, with some seating indoors and outdoors. The portion sizes have gone down in the last couple years which is unfortunate but I hope the continue to stick to their fresh ingredients and phenomenal service!“
