Great atmosphere, classy yet casual vibe, went with my friend and we had a good time; the food was on par and the service was exceptional. I will be back if not for the scrumptious brunch foods and service, then for the gorgeous views!!!
Indeed, they have a new menu....a couple weeks old now. We left in agreement that they did it all perfectly. The delicious bread was right out of the oven....both times. Their champagne selection on the wine list is deep and wide....the best list I have found in San Diego. They have a beautiful salad....but no lettuce. Must try. Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa's in-house restaurant Veladora is anything but your typical hotel eatery. Tastefully appointed in a modern hacienda style, with expansive views of the grounds from every window, this place has "romantic date" written all over it. The seasonally inspired cuisine, which is very good, comes secondary to the ambience, although it does add to the quality of the overall dining experience.
