“We had dinner on Saturday about 6:00 PM. The place is small and was full but our waiter found us a table pretty quickly. Ambiance and decor was nice, service even better. We had the clam stew, shrimp, Caesar salads and crab cakes. All the food was tasty, especially the clam stew. We'll certainly be back to try the sea bass.“

“When I first came to Redlands I was desperately in search for good Thai, it's always difficult finding one in a new city after going to the same one for a decade. UNTIL we came to MU and had some of the best thai in the area. Their pad see ew is some of the best we've ever had, other amazing dishes we've had are the pad kee mao (drunken noodles), seared ahi and Tom yum. Whether you order to go or dine in the quality is amazing. It is on the pricey side of Thai food but the quality reflects it. When dining in the cocktails are lovely, staff is kind, the restaurant is clean and well presented.“

The Vault Martini Bar & Grill Bar • $
20 E Vine St, Redlands

“I am a huge fan of open mic nights. I have found a few really good ones in the area and love attending them. I feel like a fangirl, hoping that my favourite performers will be there. I hope one day to see them on the stage so I can say, "I got to see them when they were small fries." The Vault hosts a lot of events, including musical open mic nights. I still prefer Writers Block's open mic night (the first Wednesday of every month). I am shocked that the event is free, with how talented the poets are. I have bought several books from one of the local poets (shout out to Winry Hagerty!!) who sells her work at the poetry event. The last time I went there were stickers from an artist, some leather works, books by poets for sale. The atmosphere at The Vault during Open Mic Night is vibrant and supportive. The audience is engaged and respectful, providing an encouraging environment for the performers to shine. It's worth noting that this event is not only entertaining but also affordable. It's free. If you're looking for an enjoyable and affordable evening filled with talent and creativity, make sure to check out The Vault's Open Mic Night.“

ILEGAL 1895 Bar • $$$
14 E State St, Redlands

“I’ve had the privilege of trying some of the best bars across 6 continents. I’m a bit of a craft cocktail enthusiast (read: pretentious snob) when it comes to good bars. In all seriousness, this is UNBELIEVABLY out of character from what you’d expect in Redlands. This easily ties the cocktail bars tied to many two star Michelin restaurants such as Providence in LA. I may even go so far as to say that this ties Death & Company in the Arts District, the Dead Rabbit in FiDi (Lower Manhattan), and Hatchet Hall in Culver City. This is the first place - bar or restaurant - in Redlands that I’ve been legitimately proud to showcase to people. If Redlands can have more establishments like this, then maybe the city is well on its way to catching up on a 70-year blown lead to the likes of Pasadena.Lastly, do not be put off by cost. They use quality ingredients. Of course the drinks are going to be more expensive. If you want a cheaper drink, get a Jack & Coke from a sports bar. These cocktails are not anything more than what you’d expect from a very high quality place in Santa Monica or Manhattan Beach. Very proud of Redlands for finally having a high-quality venue!“

“It was our first time in Greensleeves and definitely will return. Our server Sebastian was amazing and gave excellent customer service especially we are celebrating a very special day. We just happen to be there during Date Night Thursdays! We upgraded to the Tomahawk option and it's worth the experience + great value for a high-end steakhouse. Glad they have specials on a daily basis. It was cooked to perfection medium rare + their house made chimichurri sauce was amazing! However, would like to point out that reservation notes should be attended too especially if customers have a request or celebrating a special occasion. Due to a busy evening, food turnaround was a bit on the longer side for a fine dining restaurant (believe that evening they have large party was upstairs). Hostess can be more attentive with their customer over the phone and upon arrival. In addition, steak knives wasn't the best in cutting our Tomahawk steak. Again, it's our first time at Greensleeve and planning to go back another time.“

“Empire Bowl is always so much fun! We absolutely love the kids bowl free program in the summer. We loved bowling for free in the air conditioning! They provide bumpers if the kids need them for extra assistance. They are kind and efficient at the shoe rental. The restrooms are clean, well stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels. The floors of the whole bowling alley are clean and noticeably not sticky! There is an attached snack bar/restaurant.“

“In the heart of downtown Redlands lies Darbys, a quaint establishment known for its diner-esque charm and vibrant ambiance. Despite its unassuming setting, Darbys never fails to surprise with its culinary offerings. A recent visit left me thoroughly impressed.. particularly by the 8oz steak served alongside creamy mashed potatoes, au jus sauce, and perfectly cooked asparagus. Not your typical steakhouse fare, the quality of the cut and its medium-rare preparation spoke volumes. Their attention to detail in plating, reminiscent of higher-end establishments..... At $28, there is GREAT value for such a satisfying meal. It's safe to say Darbys has earned a loyal patron. Here's to many more delightful experiences !! ( Cheers )“

“The food was really good. I made reservations for 5 and we were sat immediately. You do have to provide a cc for reservations. The ambiance is romantic and nice for a date. The service however was very slow. I would return and hope the speed gets better, but it's worth it.“
