The short ribs and chicken were not only delicious they were nice and hot! You can tell they came right off the grill! Portion size is big for the price. For appetizer, ordered chicken egg rolls (qty: 3) comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Egg rolls were hot and crispy. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. He offered to clean the table before we sat down. I liked and appreciated that. The restaurant is very clean and has a small dining area.“

“Wow! I have to thank my friend for turning me on to Black Rabbit Cafe. This gem is located inside Abyss Market. I frequent this store after work, so the food cafe is closed when I come here. I was off of work today, and am I glad I ordered the BLAT. Bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwich. It was THE best sandwich I've ever had. Perfect ratio! They bake their sandwich bread inside what looks like a large brick type open oven as a pizza place would do. When you order a sandwich, your bread is pretty much baked to order as you watch. They're able to do this as the sandwiches use a flat bread style.You place your order at the register they give you a number and you can wait anywhere in the cafe where they will bring you your food regardless if it is for here to go.It appeared as though it was the manager who was filling the roll of expediter, inspecting, packing & running completed orders to guests.I have to hand it to the person that was handling this at 2:27pm 3/8/24. This gentleman was extremely friendly, gracious, professional, warm, welcoming & part of why I would come back sooner.Please, pass on to him how noticeable good he is at the things that he does.I left feeling like I had made a good decision to go there and I would like to come back. The guests in this location appeared well put together with a mix of middle and lower classes.My final comment is not one directed to this establishment itself. My only complaint, if you can call it a complaint, is the general cost of eating out. The final bill with two sandwiches, each coming with a small side salad automatically was a competitive $24 which is a tidbit too high for me. The cash register uses a system to ring you where you are automatically asked to accept or deny leaving a tip to which paying customers likely never appreciate.The location seemed steadily busy at 1:30 in the afternoon on a weekday but not so busy where it was uncomfortable or a noticeable wait for food. “My spouse and I visited the Olive Garden in West Hills on Fallbrook one evening for a quick dinner. My expectations from a standard restaurant chain was not high, but it was quick and easy. But let me tell you, this trip to Olive Garden was like no other. The food was good as usual, but one person made it very special and personal. The manager, Darren Mazyck went absolutely above and beyond with our service and experience that evening. He was very friendly and tentative to all our needs.He assisted us with our dinner choices, and recommended a unique dish that was out of our usual confortable options. At first we were hesitant, but his charisma and demeanor made us feel confident in his ideas. Sure enough, this was by far the best dish we have had from Olive Garden. He made sure the food was hot and cooked to perfection, and followed up with us shortly after to see if we enjoyed his suggested dish.We then spent a few minutes talking about it, and the way he carried himself felt like we were spending time with a friend, rather than a waiter.In conclusion, this trip to Olive Garden broke the norm of what we were used to and from here on, we only want to come back to Fallbrook.
