The interior was nice, it was filled with anime and comic book Funko pops/ figurines, Sanrio plushies, and many brand name T shirts all for purchase. “Came here after work and this place is a little hidden gem! It's located in a small strip mall with random shops next to it, so it's very unassuming. I came in and was greeted by the staff. They quickly took my order for takeout and was told it would be about 20 mins. Food was ready by the time I came back and it smelled amazing. I got the mixed lule kebab plate and it had a beef and chicken lule over rice. Sides of salad, hummus, , pita bread, and veggies (separate in a bag). Flavor was on point, however the lule was slightly on the drier side but not terrible. For the price, it hit the spot. It was a huge portion and I ended up having a small portion of leftovers the next day. Not sure how it compares to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but it wasn't bad.“

I order the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon and egg. Everything was delicious and por portions was plenty. My husband ordered the Mexican omelette with a side of has browns and toast and he too enjoyed his food very well. The ranchero salsa was delicious.The service was quick and very efficient. On top of that everyone was very friendly and helpful.The star of the meal was the cafe de olla! “I like this place. They have a great wine selection and their charcuterie and small plates are delicious. The Marcona almonds are well flavored/seasoned. The olives are also well-marinated. Their meat board contains delicious selections of cured meats and cheese with some sweet jam. All of these items pair nicely with their Chilean red, which is a reasonably priced and tasty bottle. I've only eaten inside but they have a nice patio in the back. The inside is dim and cozy. This is a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. The Chicken Katsu Karé is delicious and so is The Chubby Curry. I prefer The Chubby Curry, it had more flavor, but if you don't eat beef, the Chicken Katsu Karé is a perfect option. “Hanks is about a 15-minute walk from where I live. The Sherman Oaks location. You have to get there fairly early because sometimes they run out of bagels because they are very popular. (I am not a morning person and neither is my son. So to us fairly early means before 1 p.m.) But on the weekends we love to walk to Hanks, because they are so good! Sometimes we just get bagels and cream cheese, sometimes we get bagel sandwiches. I'm a vegetarian and my son is not. They have options for everyone. Actually, I'm not sure if they have gluten-free. Anyway, we usually get our bagels to go. They put on tons of cream cheese, so there's enough to share a finger full with my cat. As we were walking down the block , my son holding the bag of bagels, a guy walked past us and said, " Is that from Hanks?" We said yeah, and the guy said, "They are awesome! Case in point: parking can be difficult sometimes. The first time I was able to park in the front lot, but I was blocking somebody. I went around the bar and found the guy I'd blocked in, and we agreed to find each other later and switch the cars. All very casual and chill, which made me feel right at home. Throw in a patio with a "scenic" view of a dark side street and some light industrial businesses, and you get the deal. Two more visits later, it's one of my favorite beer places in L.A.“
“There are many best coffees I’ve ever had because variability is only so high, but this is tied for it.This might sound weird but their “cream top” drink is “engineered” perfectly. It’s a homemade whipped cream that is more liquid than typical. It sits on top of a bold cold brew. There are two reasons this is perfectly engineered: 1) The ratio of cream layer to coffee layer, the consistency of the cream, and the cup’s mouth opening make for a consistent sip each time. The same amount of sweet cream and coffee enter your mouth each time you drink. And the cream is perfectly sweet. 2) Since the coffee is bold and flavorful and the cream slowly mixes with it, you don’t get that experience of coffee that tastes bland relative the flavorful cream you’ve just tasted.Perfect cold coffee drink.“

I got the Burger on 27 with fries and my wife got their Clam Chowder. I asked for a coke for my drink which came out to be the bottle coke and my wife got their Chai Latte. I thought the burger was alright and my wife said the chowder was good. She really loved the Chai Latte though so I asked for one to go for her. If they have run out, stopping by the store is a must stop while in town.Parking: Lots of parking options. Closest is paid street parking. Depending on the time of day you can park right in front of the store. There is a parking garage about a block away with free 2 hour parking or a parking lot a block the other direction offers free parking for the grocery store but a good choice for a quick cookie stop.Kid-friendliness: Lots of cookie, Gelato, milkshake options. The milkshakes are real cookie pieces which kids seam to find extra exciting.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the entrance and easy to move around store“

It's a fairly nondescript restaurant with a simple interior in the corner of a small pod mall. It was "Wellington Wednesday". Other items looked great, but I've never had beef Wellington, so I figured, "Why not???". It comes as a three course meal plus warm, perfectly crusty bread. I picked lobster bisque which was very rich, creamy and lobster-forward even without many (any?) lobster bits. I took the desert to-go. The key lime pie was solid. The Wellington was good, not great. The pastry was kind of doughy & the mushroom duxelles was fairly flavorless. Luckily the beef loin and Demi glacé were excellent. Also the dollop of whipped mash was great with the Demi glacé and a few small veggies. The roasted gold beet was small, but the star of the veggies. The server was amazing: warm, welcoming, caring and knowledgeable. I hope I'm back in the area to try other items. They definitely focus more on the food than the ambiance, though.“
