“I felt so comfortable, amazing atmosphere, owner and bartender were super cool. I got the Birria Ramen. Absolutely delicious. Egg was actually cooked perfectly. Which is usually extremely hard to find. Bartender and owner were super friendly and welcoming. I will absolutely be going back weekly. So happy to have found this place. It absolutely will not disappoint. 5 stars.“

“The food is always awesome.I used to get pork blood in my chicken pho, but now I mostly get spring rolls and combination beef phoThe service is always weird.Sometimes you get someone that speaks a little bit of English, and sometimes you get someone that just points out, says one or two words. Tell them the number on the menu connected to the food words. Do not ask them questions. And do not send food back. You will give them a meltdown. I have seen it before. I've never done it, but I've seen other people do it before, like it's their first time in the world. And talking louder and slower doesn't help them understand anything you're saying. Again, I don't do it, but I've seen some people in our community doing it, and it makes me sad. But just to be clear, there also only advertising that they are hiring in Korean, so if you don't know Korean, they probably aren't going to hire you.The atmosphere is always bare bones...Vibe: a soup kitchen in Korea.The tables have been there since they opened, and you can tell by the way they are worn out that some of the employees have used the wrong chemicals LOL, but I have never gotten sick. This isn't a place to bring a first date unless you are really trying to see how Posh they are. This place is not fancy it is just for eating it is not for social media pictures, and it is not for food vlogging.It is defined as one of the most popular car washes and chicken noodle soup spots in Modesto.Parking: When you pull in you're going to want to pull in on the South Side Drive-In and you're going to want to go to the far right around the vacuums for the car wash there is parking along the back wall and there is parking along the north side but do not park in front of the vacuums because it clogs up the route to go to the actual parking lot.I am so sick of seeing all these doordash and Uber Eats drivers parking in the driveway and clogging up the entrance like arrogant Karens.“

“I haven’t reviewed many places recently, but my child apparently loved the service, and how the server divided the noodles from the soup. It really made her night when she saw it?. Tho food was great in my perspective, and personal experience. Also they cater to diet restrictions like mine. I do not eat pork. They also added chicken to my spring rolls since originally it’s made with pork. “Had a last minute run and needed a full roasted duck for the holidays. Viet Noodles Xpress can never disappoint me whenever I need a roasted duck. I normally go out of town for one. No need since we have one nearby. They also sell banh mi, one of my favorite Vietnamese food. Again, no need to go out of town for. You have a happy customer here.“

“On our way back from Yosemite and we heard about this place (Mom and Pop Shop) in Escalon for their food. So we stopped and never regret it. We ordered their Beef Teriyaki over Rice, Miso Soup, the Makara Sushi & San Francisco Rolls. That was the best dinner ever. We ate the sushi in its natural state, without soy sauce or Wasabi, because it didn't need it. Beef Teriyaki was tender and the rice was perfect. Give this place a try, you won't regret it. So next time we go, we hope he gets his alcohol license by then.Vegetarian options: If you want vegetarian, talk to the chef, he can help you choose.Parking: Is in a strip mall shopping area, plenty of parking.“

“My friend ordered from Pho Mex again. She loves the pork belly! She encouraged me to order a Vietnamese sandwich from there. We used to travel to Oakland or SF to get Vietnamese sandwiches I just finished eating half of my Banh Mi sandwich!! It is absolutely amazing and delicious!! I ordered the BBQ pork - the meat is shaved, the vegetables are super fresh, the bread fresh, and the sauce is magnificent! Service is really good! I'm so happy to have a place I can get my sandwiches! Try one!! I gotta go! Gonna go eat the other half!!“

“We had it delivered. Hadn't eaten there before. My son ordered wonton soup today, because the place we order from usually was closed today. Wonton soup is the best when you are feeling under the weather. It's a cure-all. Well, it arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. So much flavor! This will probably be our new spot, can't wait to try some other dishes. A+++“

“Authentic sincere and delicious. I wish my friends who i meet while placing my first order the recognition they deserve . While waiting for my car to be repaired I took a sort walk and struck gold . Walking up I had a few questions about the menu . The young gentleman at the window was informed and invested in getting me exactly what I wanted . Felt life a life long friend the way I was received and the banter that followed . I doubt that I’ll eat anyplace else when I’m in town . I’ve considered making a special trip of two hours just to try all the items on the menu . I went with the chops which were smack your grandmother good . Rice perfect , meat so tender the plastic fork showed no stress ! No joke this is great food and under 15 bucks a dinner that will fill your stomach . Cheers to J&P this is how good is done .“

“I had the Wonton soup with noodles. It was so good and the wontons were the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend this dish. I also tried the Mongolian beef. It was good with a little spice. Have been here many times and will be back very soon.“
