I love sushi, even mediocre sushi so long as it's fresh. But the fish here just wasn't it. I didn't eat all day and was craving sushi so I ordered to-go, picked up within 6mins of offer being ready, and was eating the sushi in another 15. So 20 mins or so from when it was prepared and the fish was foul. One of the rolls was a Godzilla roll, and the slices with tuna was just okay, but the white fish it had (menu does not state what it is) wasn't good, it had a herring like taste to it which considering it was sashimi was stomach turning to me. First time I didn't finish a sushi order--I had to toss it. I gave it two stars because I don't know if it was me taking it home or if it was a fluke or what not but the fish here was not good. Sauces were good, shrimp tempura inside the rolls are nice too. Restaurant is dated inside but kind of neat. But the foul tasting fish just killed it all for me.

As someone that lives in San Diego and has fresh fish all around me, this place was head and shoulders above any other place I’ve tried. First of all, the restaurant was supremely clean and smelled great! No fishiness detected.The people were all friendly and prompt. Service was fast. I had the salmon and albacore nigiri and they were amazing! Huge portions and tasted so good!! By and away the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. My friend had some of their rolls and those were equally good too. Their menu was very large and prices were decent too.I will be back here every time I find myself in Sacramento. The restaurant may look small andnondescript, but it is well worth the visit. You’ll be thanking yourself that you did.
