Very rarely have I ever give a bad review but wow. Got food to go (didn't know how long it would take and wanted to either eat at Habit with my cousin -- right next door -- or at Dean) and after receiving the food, we asked to go eat outside without explanation. My cousin had his Habit food with him while he was waiting until my food was ready so that was the only thing I could thing that would upset Dean Noodles but wow --literally have never experienced something like this in my life. I am a regular customer and felt like I was treated like some type of alien. I wish I had some type of explanation as to why I was told to go outside instead of a stern you cannot sit here, please go sit outside, but wow. It was absolutely unbelievable and a day later is still bothering my like crazy. I am a nice person and left right away out of literal embarrassment but wow. Edit in response to below: I would have respected this 100% when I asked if I did anything wrong. I understand the aesthetic could be important to you but I believe the situation was very awkwardly handled. Either way, I appreciate the clarification since I was extremely confused. It was not my first time at Dean -- it was possibly my 50th time -- I am a very regular customer. It was, unfortunately, my last. I was not asked multiple times. I was asked once and obliged but also asked if I had done anything wrong since I was confused. The whole side I was on was also empty. I agree policies and am glad to follow but this explanation would have been helpful when I asked what the reason was. The reason I got the food to-go was because I wasn't sure of my time limits for lunch (respecting the sign that wrote this isn't fast-food and we had to wait), in case you are curious for future potential issues with other customers that may have the same time constraints. I believe the importance of not leaving a $16 meal behind or having to burden staff with to-go containers to respect my work lunch time in case time was exhausted. I would not have felt weird eating in my to-go container, just to respond to that question. I do like your decor and it's a beautifully put together place, of which I also used to frequent before it was Dean's Noodles (90% same look as before). Best regards.

Food was great. Staff was friendly welcoming and the restaurant was very clean. We ordered the pad see eww (beef) and the green curry with chicken. Both were phenomenal!

Hi, first time customers. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for date night. Overall, we thought that the food was not bad. We ordered the chicken eggrolls, chicken satay plate, and the supreme pad thai and (2) thai teas. Firstly, the chicken eggrolls were pretty good. They were fresh, hot and yummy. Additionally, the sweet&sour sauce went well with the rolls. Secondly, we were served the chicken satay plate. The proportion of meat, rice and vegetables seemed a little off. We were struggling to finish the rice. However, it was tasty. Thirdly, the supreme pad thai was not what we were expecting, but it was not bad. Sadly, there were only two pieces of shrimp in the overall dish. The thai teas were good. I would order it again.

** YELPER BEWARE ** dean noodles provides "free treat" for a 5-star review - which I've gathered from previous reviews is a free thai tea. In other words, THE REVIEWS ARE BIASED TOWARDS 5-STARS. TLDR: Bland experience leaving me bewildered at how this restaurant is so highly rated. I was super excited to try dean noodles because of the solid high reviews. Upon entering the restaurant, I felt as if I was in a jungle because of the amazing decor. I wasn't sure if I should order regular curry or try the curry gravy noodles, and I went with the latter despite them telling me it was meant for two people. Additionally I ordered a thai iced tea since it was $1.50 if we ate in with entree. I felt a few red flags when I asked for a thai tea in a to-go cup, and they said it was not allowed. What a weird concept... I ended up not finishing it and taking it to-go anyway. Onto the actual tea, though, I generally order it half sweet at other locations. I made no adjustments here, and it tasted pretty bland. The curry gravy noodles were interesting. I asked how spicy it was, and the server said it wasn't very spicy. Correction: it isn't spicy at all. Instead, it was salty and sour, with a hint of sweet - quite a weird combination. In addition, the "gravy soup" if I may call it tasted watered down. While paying is when I noticed the red flag, because at the bottom it mentions that 5-star reviews are given a "free treat." I looked at the most recent low yet honest review, and I have to admit I can't agree that the food was "cheap" was it was nearly $20, but I can admit that what I ordered was quite watered down and bland. Overall, it was a pretty bland experience. What's worse is when I got home, I got a stomach ache... not sure if it was from the Thai Tea or from the curry gravy noodles sauce concoction... Maybe I ordered the wrong dish, came at the wrong time, etc... but I didn't feel this lived up to the reviews.
