“The service and food are phenomenal! The staff was super helpful and informative when describing sauces and sides. I got the turmeric chicken schwarma and the cilantro pesto chicken schwarma and the flavors just melted in my mouth. I also had the tumeric lemonade and it was the perfect amount of tartness. I even got the baklava and it was so flaky and sweet. Definitely coming here again!“
“I’ve come here 4-5 times and have ordered different dishes and appetizers and it’s all always been spot on amazing! Good flavors, great service, owner and his wife are extremely kind and welcoming. I’d give this place 20 stars if I could. MUST TRY!“
“This place was amazing! Deliciously fresh food, great service, and ambiance was casual. We were treated like family by the owner and enjoyed hearing his story of how he opened up the restaurant. We will definitely come back when we visit La Mirada again.“
“My visit to Byblos Mediterranean Grill was a delightful exploration of Mediterranean flavors and hospitality. Opting for the combo plate, I was treated to a generous spread of delectable dishes that showcased the diverse culinary traditions of the region. Each component of the plate was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity. The combo plate offered a tantalizing array of options, including succulent grilled meats, flavorful rice pilaf, crisp falafel, and refreshing salads. Every bite was a burst of flavor, with the perfect balance of spices and textures. The meats were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The accompanying dips and sauces added an extra layer of depth to the meal, elevating the experience even further.“
“If you're reading reviews trying to see if this place is good just do yourself a favor and place an order. The quality of food is amazing, everything always tastes fresh and the service is excellent. I cannot recommend Pita Paradise enough.“
“I came in with my friend. I was in the mood to something new I've never had Egyptian before. The chef was so helpful she gave me most excellent recommendations the lamb melted off the bone and chef even suggested to put the molokhia on the rice which was the best suggestion the rice was delicious blend of grains and the molokhia brought the flavor out. The entire dining experience from the greeting to the food was sublime. Furthermore the falafel was divine. Perfectly blended flavors and fluffy on the inside crunchy on the outside. It was in a word, heavenly.“
“Just found this hidden gem! ALL their meat (beef-chicken-lamb) is HALAL!!! ❤️❤️ Love their menu, burgers/sliders, tacos, Kababs, shawarma, seafood, vegetarian and so much more! Many healthy options!! Such great services!! And loved the ambience especially the patio seating!!“
“The Green Olive is a small chain Mediterranean restaurant that generally sets up in industrial areas to keep their costs down and to service the working people of those areas. If you like Mediterranean Food there are very few who can compete with The Green Olive. Their chicken kabobs are absolutely amazing. Additionally, I tried their salmon kabobs I was pleasantly surprised but the tenderness and seasonings on the salmon and vegetables. The only knock I can say is that their rice doesn’t have much taste however with the variety of sauces it will make the rice pop specially the green sauce. They have vegetarian options. You can not go wrong here. This isn’t much of a dine but if you pick it up deliver it home you will be pleasantly impressed. Rock on Green Olive!!!!Vegetarian options: You know how to do vegetarian at Mediterranean restaurants. Pretty much. Standard options.Parking: Parking is easy.Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access.“
“I recently discovered this Mediterranean restaurant with my husband. Our impromptu dinner to-go was a delightful experience. We opted for the vegetarian panini and BBQ chicken sandwich. We had just one regret - not ordering more! The sandwich was absolutely delicious, and we'll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!“
“Late lunch so we did a quick grab and go from Mazaya. We paid for it - relax. The grape leaves are absolutely my favorite. Hummus is a solid choice. The French fries are like those late night post party open late burger stop. They have a crunch, soft tasty center and season with good ol’ salt. The chicken this time was a little dry but that’s ok. Wont stop us from going back. Services are quick and the place is clean and comfortable.“
“We typically always tend to go there for my in-laws birthdays because they are so close together. We love Mediterranean food and this place really has very good food. They offer different sizes and selections of plates which is a great fit for all of us because we can share or we can get something small if we know we aren't going to finish it or get something larger and take it home to eat again later. The food is always fantastic. I've never had any real issues with it. It's one of my favorite places to go. It's always consistently delicious“
“My coworker was hesitant to go because he thought the area looked sketchy, but I made him go anyways and we were not disappointed!! The service was great! The food was AMAZING!! Easily the BEST hummus I've ever had. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back!“
“My second time here- first time I was too hangry to snap a pic of my meal. Both times I ordered the chicken, beef, and Kefta plate- it is scrumpdeliosh. I NEVER order chicken out unless it’s fried, but the marinade and sources on all the meats is fantastic. The little salad it comes with is excellent, hummus is not too tahini-y, presentation is great, service is excellent. TBH, I wasn’t expecting much the first time I came in, but I’m really glad I did!“
“Can't say enough great things about Versai Kitchen & Wine Bar! (formerly Fitness Grill) My family has been coming here for 25+ years. We always have amazing service and the food is always absolutely incredible. The owner, Robert, is so kind and welcoming every time. We had such a wonderful experience this evening with our server, Jeff. He was so kind and attentive to our party, and only delivered the best treatment to our table! Thank you to Versai for yet another extraordinary experience!!“
“I love coming in for lunchService is amazing always greeted by staffPaula is always checking in on us when we visitFood and quality there’s nothing like it in downtownDietary restrictions: Staff is knowledgeable in regards to recommendations w restrictionsKid-friendliness: Kids menu availableChicken skewer w fries“
“The food is good, however, the service could use improvement. The server was slow to take our order and slow to bring our food. In the outdoor patio, the smoke from the smoking section came over into the non-smoking section, so what's the point in separating the sections.“
“Food 5*Vibe 5*Service 5*Great spot for fine Mediterranean dining. They have sandwiches, wraps, rice and meat, hummus, even loaded fries options. The meat and flavours of the various dishes are delicious. Their fries are a highlight and a must have with your meal.“
“Tasty food that is light, healthy, and delicious! The staff was super nice and accommodating Friendly service. You order at the counter and they make your food to order. It's a very casual place with a nice atmosphere! I can't wait to go back and try the fresh juices. Will definitely be a regular here“
“Love the pizza here so much. The ingredients are always fresh. Dough is nice and well made. I love the veggie selection. Lots to choose from. I go with three types of cheese; mozzarella, ricotta, and feta. Friendly family owned place with a great atmosphere.“
“We love Adana Grill! The generous portions of exquisitely seasoned tender meats and fresh savory sides offer texture and flavors that compliment perfectly. Whether creamy or crunchy , roasted or pickled there is something for everyone here. We often start with the crispy Cheese rolls or Kibbeh. The house special Adana Kebab is excellent, and chicken and beef kebabs are some of our favorites. Don’t forget to finish your meal with Turkish tea and sweet treats of baklava and Turkish delight. Beautiful photography and lively music complete the casual atmosphere. Every meal we have here, or take home , we end saying, “That was so delicious and satisfying. I am so happy”!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly Great for family, date, friends group or just solo mealWheelchair accessibility: Easy roll up to tables for 1-“
“What a gem hidden inside of a corner liquor store!Popped into here for lunch with my dad (a syrian man, born and immigrated, so he knows his arabic food).I had the chicken shish tawook plate, he had the falafel "tacos"Both items were excellent. The value was high, the service was friendly... and if I didn't mention it the food was great.Ambiance was kind of funny being in a liquor store to order, but i've had great food in all kinds of gas stations.. so why not?“
“Best mediterranean chicken kabob salad I've had. The dressing is delicious very tangy and tasty. The chicken is always perfect flavorful, tender and they are pretty generous with it. I had there beef kabob sandwich also super delicious. I really recommend this place.“
“Spanish/EnglishMy first time in this place. I ordered a Chicken bowl and I didn't leave with a good taste in my mouth since they put too much white dressing on it that basically invades all the flavor of the chicken, vegetables and rice. I also realized when I finished eating that there was too much oil sitting at the bottom of the plate. The place is very clean, the servers are very friendly and the service is fast, but maybe next time I should ask for the dressing to be served on the side.My first time in this place. “Came here randomly for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I like Mediterranean food and tend to favor the Iranian kabobs, like Koobideh and Soltani filet mignon. This place is Armenian and has their versions which are also good. The chicken kabobs were juicy and marinated well. All the different sides we got were delicious. The only thing that was little dry was the beef Lule...the Iranian version beef Koobideh is usually juicy and seasoned very well.I would definitely eat here again.“
“Do we visited the lounge side of this restaurant (chapter 4). I love the outdoor tables. I guess you can smoke your cigars and drink your well drinks to a quaint outdoor setting. I got the Latin Lover and my boyfriend got some whiskey drink. Noth were extremely strong so we nursed it the entire time. The Japanese snacks were free and yummy but we ordered the steak and fries...no Bueno! It was super duper dry and overcooked. Don't go here for food...just drinks and nice outdoor ambiance.“
“We Love this place as it’s reasonable prices and the salads are amazingly great. We love the red cabbage and cucumbers in yougart also best hummus. The Rice is amazingly delicious also. Wish I wasn’t diabetic I’d have eaten another pita hahaha we love the Lamb they give good size portion for two kebabs about 8 large pieces of lamb made medium well and very great falafelsParking: Big strip mall parking most people getting to go. We always have no problem parking the lot must have 40 spots and not busy strip mall this Resturant is the main place for the whole strip mallKid-friendliness: We didn’t see children but sure they love the place“
“A friend told us about this place and we are very happy with their food and prices. The owner is kind and friendly. So far we have ordered cheese pies and sfiha and we liked them- you can feel/taste the filling and not just the bread/dough. Calling ahead is preferable. We recommend this bakery.“
“If you have not been, you need to go! The food tastes amazing the quality of not just the food but the service is the best I've ever experienced. They got helpful staff at the front, and the manager is a class act kind of guy. He makes it feel like you just went to your family's house for lunch. You really can't beat this place!“
“Limone' is located inside the Glendora Public Market food hall and offers fresh, chef driven Mediterranean street food. Order and food pickup is at the counter with plenty of self seating available and parking is free. My mom and I wanted to check the market out for lunch and found Limone' to be the most appetizing to us and it also seemed to be the healthiest option. We ordered the Tahini-Ceasar Salad and the Cali-Chop Salad with Falafel: They were somewhat pricey (protein is an add on) but were good portion size, fresh and delicious. Limone is also available for order on Uber Eats, Grub Hub and Door Dash. If you're in the area and/or in the mood for good Mediterranean food, give them a try!“
“The place was really nice inside and the area “outside” had this ceiling warmers that make the area cozy and nice. The service was fast, friendly, welcoming and courteous. What I like the most is that they don’t add the typical suggested tip percentage to the bill, for a place this nice and a service this good I’m actually surprised. The food was really good, tender beef, chicken and the salmon as well; Big proportions and tasty crunchy panini bread. We didn’t get to go inside or use the bathrooms but the next time we’ll do just out of curiosity lol. They serve wine, beers and many variety of alcoholic drinks, but we didn’t try any tho. The hot chocolate, I have to say tho, was not quite hot but warm enough, although for me, a hot chocolate has to definitely be HOT ?, by that is not any reason to not give this place 5 well deserved stars;, especially because of the service, really good service.Recommended ??“
“This was some of the best Middle Eastern food I've had, and I've eaten at a lot Mediterranean restaurants. The lamb skewer was perfectly cooked and very tasty, the babaganoush was amazing and their rice was incredible. My wife had the chicken shawarma and hummus, again, both were very good. Our server Mike was genuinely friendly and attentive and served free baklava because it was my birthday. Great place, nice atmosphere and really good value of quality and portion size compared to price. I highly recommend D'vine. They have a location closer to us in Corona so we will definitely be going there soon.“
“The food was delicious with very generous portions! I had the mediterranean chicken salad & my daughter had the grilled chicken kabob plate. The gentleman who cooked and served our food was delightful. We ate outside with a nice view of the whole promenade. We will definitely be back. We enjoyed the whole street experience. Extremely clean in and out.“
“Oasis Grill has been catering parties for me for 8 years. I pick it up but it is always ready on time and ready prepared for easy transport. I've served their delicious food at Graduation, Birthday and Holiday parties and it is always a big hit. I just ordered food for our annual Celebration of Life for 30 family members and I am so excited to delight my guests with the fresh Humus and the best, moist chicken. This restaurant is small, family owned, with a very considerate approach to service. Making recommendations for your needs that you may not have thought about even if you do entertain or host often. The quality of food is reliably consistent and always fresh. Anytime of year they are a great lunch or dinner or catering choice but for hotter weather it is just perfect. Do yourself a favor and do not leave without trying their baklava!“
“Good food, I like the beef koobideh and the juhje kabob (#1 and #2 if the name is misspelled). My husband likes the gurimeh stew. Great for nights when fast and easy is desired after picking up some groceries. Order before you shop and pick it up on the way out. Usually takes 15 minutes.“
“Must have ! It's hard to find authentic German Food , Until I tried this food truck ! I ordered the mix meat Döner kebab with chicken , Beef & Lamb , of course I had to add extra spicy - tzatzaki sauce :) I'm ready to try their Loaded Fries Next! See you soon !“
“Really, really like this place. They have great service and very friendly atmosphere. Lots of clearly marked vegan options. I tried the Vegan Chicken wrap which is quite different -- besides the vegan chicken, they put french fries, ketchup, pickles and garlic. It sounded strange but it was tasty. Although, if I ordered it again, I might ask them to customize it to make it a bit healthier.“
“Place is cute and nicely decorated. Have tried a few of their dishes, no complaints. Didn't give a 5 star only because the parking really sucks. Frustrating to be driving around the street looking for parking. To top off signs everywhere your car will get towed, so you eat at your own risk. Mimosas and iced coffees are yummy. Food 5/5 Service 4/5 Ambience 4/5“
“I am traveling for work and a colleague brought me here for dinner. I was impressed with the quality and flavor of the tzatziki and chicken kabobs. The portion size was quite large for the price and enough for 2 people. The staff was very kind and attentive. Definitely will be back.“
“I really enjoy the food here. I usually get the Greek salad. A little different take on it, lots of great veggies that I enjoy. No feta, but a ton of chunky veggies. I have tried the lamb gyro, and the pork belly - both are really good. I recommend it.“
“I got a bunch of maneesh (aka Arabic pizza) this time and the service was excellent as usual. The interior is decorated with beautiful stone like masonry and other items that gives the place a very traditional, medieval and/or even ancient vibe to it. There are only 5 tables for sitting inside (22ish people max) but the patio area a lots for much more seating capacity. The cheese Maneesh is excellent as always as is the zaatar. And fortunately, the lahmbi3ajeen maneesh was even better than last time. The food is a little on the expensive side but it seems like that is the trend everywhere in southern California and probably in the US in general as well.Vegetarian options: Maneesh, falafel, humus, labne and much much more.Parking: The parking lot could get full sometimes but usually there is always plenty of parking spots available. Additional street Parking is available as well within 20-40 yards (meters).“
“This is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" place. While we were looking for a traditional pizza parlor, we're glad we stayed. The pizza was great, and because the adjacent taco shop is owned by the same owner, we were able to have a taco appetizer while waiting for our pizza.“
“Clean and quiet place, delicious food. This restaurant is located inside of a shopping Plaza in the city of Walnut. It was clean and quiet inside. The deco was very warm, welcoming, and elegant. I ordered a combo of beef and chicken. The meats were juicy and delicious. Especially the beef, I can taste the original, flesh flavor of the beef . The chicken was very tasty too. However, for some reason, the pita bread was very few in small pieces. There was also no salad but a piece of tomato. The whole meal was about 20 dollars. As a summary, it was a very pleasant dining experience and the food was delicious. I certainly will come back to this restaurant again.“
“It's raining and I wanted some Avgolemono soup. I checked online and chose Apola. I'm Greek, so I know what it should taste like. I drove a bit out of the way and I must say, I was not disappointed !! The soup was perfect !! The soup had the perfect balance of tang and creaminess. I will return when the weather permits to try more from their menu.“
“I love this shawarma! I have had it when it was a food truck, and now it still tastes great! The place is clean, the portions are big, the sandwiches are loaded and the chicken is moist. The 1 star lost is because I felt it was lacking salt a bit, but it was still enjoyable. The fries are also really good but also lacked salt, but overall one of the best shawarmas in town! I think this place will take off after COVID, especially with hookah and big spaces to sit available!“
“The food here is exquisite! Let me start with the lamb chops they are meaty and perfectly grilled pieces deliciousness. Then the chicken so tender and juicy! Please please PLEASE if you come here order the lentil soup....it's aromatic creamy vibrant yummy goodness!!! Third time comin here and hasn't changed once since the first time I ordered!“
“Great place for food family and friends , service is very fast and courteous. They go out of their way to make authentic Egyptian fair in a perfect flavor and home style. There is not another restaurant that comes even close , thank you Zizi and your diligent staff for wonderful time and a wonderful meal.“
“I drove out of my way to eat here today. I could have gone to a closer Mediterranean restaurant that I frequent often but instead, I opted for pitas to go. I made no mistake today and I am very proud about it because my chicken plate was so good! I added feta to the salad and everything just came together perfectly. Went home happy and fed and thanked the owner for the meal! I'd eat the chicken plate again and again.“
“THE. GARLIC. SAUCE.Okay, I fell in love with this place for the sides. But the garlic sauce made me loyal to this spot. It’s fresh and raw so you’ll either love it or hate it.I’ve tried Mediterranean cuisine right by my house and another place and the garlic sauce can’t compare. The sides are also delicious and healthy. All the meats I’ve tried are good as well but if you’re into options on side dishes, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.Vegetarian options: Most of the sides are vegan or vegetarian.“
“Came in today about noon ish, the owner or person working was very nice. My did take a while but that was expected as they cook everything to order. The food wash exactly what I was looking for. The chicken, rice, salad and hummus was delish!! I'll be back again“
“In my time in the Greater LA area, I've stuck with trying mostly Asian eateries as those are typically the spots I feel the most comfortable with. But with the diverse food offerings in the Rowland Heights area in particular, I felt inclined to try something new. With that said, a friend recommended me to try Halal Guys after having previous experiences enjoying halal meats. For this experience, I ordered Halal Guys off of Uber Eats on a Monday night to avoid the traffic on the 60 and chose to try their Beef and Chicken Combo Platter which was around 14 dollars before tax. And from that point, I waited for about 30-40 minutes for my food to arrive at my place. Upon arrival, the food was bagged in layers which kept the food warm which was a nice touch.Opening the bag, each item was given in a foil pan with a plastic lid which helped keep the food inside warm without making the food soggy. And with that, it made receiving the food that much more impressionable. Opening the lid, I was quite surprised by the amount of portion given inside. About 70% of the bowl was filled with large quantities of beef and chicken. Because of this, the dish was meat dominated and ended up being quite filling. The tomatoes, lettuce, and four pieces of pita bread took up the remaining area and prevented the dish from tasting too meaty. For last, the rice that layered the bottom was given in good portion too: not too starchy, and not too scarce. In all, the large quantity given was well worth the expenditure at 14 dollars in the Rowland Heights area. There was so much given, in fact, that the single combo lasted two meals! Price to portion ratio? Very good! The taste of the food was also very impressive! Starting off, the turmeric and cumin-seasoned rice was quite light in texture and was seasoned generously. This allowed the flavor profile of the rice to give the rest of the items in the dish a baseline to work off of. For next, the lettuce and tomatoes tasted fresh, just like you would imagine them to taste: watery, crunchy, and a tad sweet. As for the pita, the texture was soft yet dry, which helped to absorb the moisture from the added white sauce and hot sauce. Furthermore, the bread interior had a hint of what I identified as olive oil which helped the bread taste a bit doughy and subtly salty. As for the meats, the chicken was my favorite of the two as the pieces inside were lightly seasoned with black pepper which tasted heavenly with the flavor of the rice. The chicken's texture was very soft despite the fact it was fully cooked, making each piece melt in the mouth. Although the beef was good as well, it was more on the dry side and tasted much heavier. This could be in part because the meat was sliced thinner, causing the meat to dry out faster and for seasoning to dominate over the amount of area well on each piece. The dish was fine by itself. But including the packaged white sauce, I found the overall taste even more memorable. Tasting like a lighter ranch, each component of the dish was able to attain a greater cohesive texture and creamy taste. Achieving a balance like this is very difficult when you add sauce to a dish, leaving me to crave more of their famous large packets of white. On the other hand, I found the hot sauce to be too spicy to the point that it dominated over any texture or flavor of the food. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the spice level was close to a 6. Definitely eat some pita to counter the spice should your spice tolerance be low.For this experience with Halal Guys, I would argue Halal Guys deserves a 5 star rating hands down. The portion size was very large for the price compared to most other eateries of this kind and restaurants in this area in general. For the price, the quality was definitely there, having better meat quality than many places that charge almost double the price. Although I found the beef was over-seasoned and on the dry side, it's not to say it was bad by any means. For the next time I return though, I would opt for Chicken Platter instead. In all though, great portion of“
