Take a look at our favorite Rowland Heights Mexican restaurants.
“Took my son here for Palentines. It was a great experience. Our waiter was on top of things. The food was awesome. I had the Tampiqueña and my son had Camarones al Mojo. Our bill came out to around $60. Not to mention there wasn't a wait. Give them a shot.“
“I've never eaten at El Pollo Loco before and tried it the night before I was flying home. It was so good. I couldn't believe how good their chicken is. If they had one back home I'd be here every week. Please open a location in Honolulu. I got the two piece chicken meal with a breast and wing. It comes with two sides and warm tortillas. I chose corn and mashed potatoes with gravy for my sides. The cashier asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. I asked her if they had anything crunchy as I don't like soft tortillas. She said that she could give me tortilla chips instead and asked if I wanted salsa. I got the house mild salsa. The grilled chicken was tender and moist. It's made with fresh chicken that has never been frozen. The marinade they use for the chicken is fantastic, you can just taste that hint of lime. They baste the chicken as it's being grilled. The sides were terrific as well. The corn was seasoned and had a natural sweetness to it. The mashed potatoes were creamy and was good with the savory gravy. The tortilla chips were nice and crispy. I could tell that they were fresh. The house salsa mild had a serious kick. They call it mild, but to me it was spicy. I was reaching for the water after each bite. The cashier and the people working in the kitchen were really friendly. They even wanted to pose in my pics, lol. I cracked some jokes with them. I usually don't give five stars to fast food places, but this place was so good. I don't know how many different ways I can tell you. PLEASE OPEN A LOCATION IN HONOLULU.“
“Stopped by this place after church on Sunday. It was very good. It's a small establishment with a great menu. We ordered menudo and a chorizo burrito. The menudo was some of the best around. Lots of hominy and meat. The broth was delicious. No fat. The burrito was great. Had the option of beans or eggs and potato. Went with the potatoes. It was on a homemade tortilla and was well seasoned. Watch out for the salsa. The green was a little hotter than I expected. Try it out.“
“A must try. Had tried plenty of street tacos & taco trucks around the area, but this establishment is even more legit. Drove by here a million times, they’ve been here forever, but never caught my eyes until someone posted a photo/video of grasshoppers served here! Exotic item not published on the menu anywhere, but all the locals and regulars know to ask for it! Tacos are $2.49, very fairly priced for the area. I tried carne asada (beef), cabeza (head), and tripas (small intestines) for my tacos and I loved them all. The quality and flavor is on the top of my 5-star list. $8.50 for like a 12 ~14 oz container size full of grasshoppers. They gave me 5 pieces to sample since I was so curious. It smells and tastes like crunchy yet chewy beef jerky, and makes an interesting snack. I’m definitely returning here for more tacos and grasshoppers. Adding to my list of favorite places to dine. They’re open daily from around 8 am to 8 pm or 9 pm. The closure time is a little early for this area since a ton of Asian restaurants are still open at that hour. They are also located in a slightly isolated small plaza along Fullerton so not as busy as compared to Colima Rd. But I’d gladly drive the extra few minutes for the quality food.“
“I came here for vacation and I try a few mexican restaurnts near the area but they all disappoint me. So I gave this taco truck a try and was amazed with the food. This taco truck has authentic Mexican food not like the restaurants.Taco truck has good prices.Only thing I will change is the size of the taco. I wish they were bigger.“
