“Really good Chinese food. The Shanghai Pan Fried Dumpling was cooked to perfection! It was crispy on the bottom and the bun was fluffy with meat inside juicy! The Shanghai Steamed Dumpling has good dumpling texture with juice from the meat pouring out like little soup. The Crispy Fish Fillet with Seaweed....omg..super yummy!!! the outside is fried with batter and has a hint of seaweed flavor with salt. The fish inside, is soft and delicious!!!!! I can't get enough of this!!!!! One of my favorite dishes!!!“
“The food was excellent. We went for the Dim Sum and the waiter was very helpful with his recommendations, and we tried a variety of different Dim Sum. The atmosphere was good - not fancy but clean and welcoming. There seemed to be a lot of happy customers also enjoying their food. We will definitely go again and be regulars!“
“I'd say this restaurant is a hidden treasure in LA. It is family owned, not appealing from exterior or interior but that's not the point. More importantly, their Shanghainese cuisine is one of the best in LA. The lady boss and her reception is always delightful. Chef is the owner so you can make sure he makes every dishes with cares. No MSG. A great place for family gathering.“
“Each table orders through a QR code without having to speak to the waiters. The menu has good variety and the food comes out fast! Their vegetable dishes are good and they do have some good vegetarian options of noodles, rice, dumplings, etc. For me, the one thing that would bump up the overall rating to 5 stars, is more vegetarian/plant based protein like tofu.“
“Good option for takeout. Subpar for inside dining. Small mom/pop operation. Can be excessively oily, just ask for "little oil". Food is good and generous portions. Orange chicken very good so is Kung Pao chicken. Sweet and sour pork totally different than usual. Pork pieces are boned in super thick, rich, sweet, dark red sauce... Scrumptious!! Have also tried their hot and sour soup, which is also very good. Would definitely recommend for an evening takeout dinner.“
“I went to buy takeout on chinese new year. the long queue of lines compared to the restaurant next door was a telling sign the food here must be good. We ordered the beef chow fun and fish fillets. They were still warm and tasty by the time I brought it home. My parents liked the food at this location. We definitely want to come back here to try more of the dishes when we have another family gathering. The waiter that helped take my order was kind even with all the chaos of the chinese new year. My order took a little bit longer to come back due to the large crowds but I was able to run other errands and come back for my food on time when my food was ready.“
“Prices are on the high side, but they're running a promo 20% off special now. Most dishes are well prepared.Luv their Red Cook Pork with Tofu Knots, sound weird I know but oh so delicious !Covers most Shanghai regional dishes of China, cant go wrong with their noodles dishes as well as assorted rice and rice cakesWell worth a visit !“
“Some dishes are too sweet, some dishes are too oily, some dishes put too much soy sauce, personal taste is not the same, I am afraid that some people like it, some people do not like it, we were a big round table people, there are praise and criticism! Fair enough.“
“An alright Chinese diner kind of food. There was absolutely no wait for this restaurant.Their portion sizes are decent and the pricing is ok given the current economy. The pork chop doesn't come cut which was strange, but at least they don't use too much batter when cooking it.The cold dish set comes with a lot of cilantro, so if you're a fan of it, it's pretty decent value. One thing to note is the noodles had a little too much oil at the bottom than I felt was necessary, but overall still pretty good. This can be a decent back up option to eat at if the eateries in the area are jam packed.“
