“We came in around 9am. The service is super nice and quick! The server was very attentive and made sure we got what we needed. We got two orders of the Orden de Birria and the portion was huge. We asked for the tortilla to be crispy and they said no problem. The price is great also. The soup was well seasoned, and there was a lot of meat. The salsa is also spicy, but just the right amount (I would consider it to be more than medium spice). Would come back again.“

“Taco Tuesday special $3 per taco! It was so delicious. Battered fish tacos were large flavorful and filling! Chips and refried beans basket was a nice treat to have while we waited for our food. Such a wholesaler individual and great host! Ambiance: A little sketch but I ask you to commit and try this place out! Parking in front and back of establishment. There is a small outdoor dining area for about 20 people. Pretty much take out is best option. Summary: across the board. It takes plenty to get that 5th Star boy but this spot did not disappoint at all. Earned all 5 stars! I'll definitely come back and here's a tip you can order for pickup. I'll will reorder everything I tasted and maybe try the Pez Aspada Taco and pair it with a Michelada! The soup is I'll definitely put an order for that! “I'm not a big fan of seafood, but my wife is. She got the black sauce aquachili, and loved it. I really liked the veggies. She didn't mind that I left all the shrimp behind. She went back and got a Fredilla taco. Then another one, to take home for the kids.The homemade tortillas were amazing. A nice course grind on the corn.There was an Asada taco on the menu for people that don't eat seafood. “The strip anchored by the Stater Bros in Mira Loma is home to a space that has been a Mexican restaurant for decades, though not always the same Mexican restaurant. In the remote past, the Green Burrito chain occupied it - slinging staples from the Cal-Mex repertoire. A place where each of my elementary school teachers seemed to return from their lunch breaks at a minimum of twice a week. It was there where I had my first ever Baja style fish taco. In the more recent past it was called Casa Diaz, serving a bill-of-fare that was less "Cal" and more "Mex." I liked their chicken mole burrito, wet with extra mole. (Come to think of it, what could be more Cal-Mex than a wet Mission style burrito?) The current iteration is called El Chivito; and is arguably the boldest restaurant in the history of Riverside County. El Chivito is a specialist. It is a Jalisciense birria spot. You get birria de chivo, heaps of it in a bowl, a mound of it on a taco, and/or a portion of it within a mulita. Entering El Chivito, you find yourself face-to-face with a woman masterfully stamping out fresh tortillas. Another woman instructs you to seat yourself where you wish. Go find a comfortable spot on one of the unlacquered pine benches. Order some goat. The tortillas are rich with earthy corn flavor. The birria itself is a full court press of goat funkiness. The consome is particularly special due to its wholesomeness. Eschewing the traffic light red variety of consome, imbued with a slick of fat, that took over all the socials in recent years, the broth here is clean, allowing more of the goat to shine. It is a palliative for all your ailments. The usual suspects can all be found in the condiment caddy. The cebolla and cilantro. The limes. And of course, the scorching hot salsa of chiles de arbol.“

“I lived in Riverside for about 3 years. This place is sort of a hole in the wall, but this places tend to be the best when it comes to tacos. The best things on their menu hands-down have to be their specialty tacos. Drenched with loads of meat and toppings for an insanely cheap price, and loaded with flavor, the tacos will leave you stuffed and wanting more at the same time. The staff is very nice and attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed yet fun. Every time I go back to Southern California to visit I make sure to stop by to pat a visit to my favorite spot!“

“I recently tried the one in Upland and today I tried the one in Riverside. I have to say it again, thank you to the owners for opening such an amazing restaurant, thank you to the chefs for cooking incredibly awesome food and to the servers for being so attentive and kind. “This Location is the one :). The food quality is really good, you can’t go wrong with it. My go to is the carnitas tacos, the meat itself is very juicy and not dry. On top of the tacos the put the most amazing salsa de aguacate, and you can always add any of the other great salsa options or toppings they offer in their self serve station. My partner really enjoys the Al pastor tacos, they do follow tradition and put pineapple on the taco as well as that guacamole salsa. Another go to is the Birriongos with the consomé, put some of the pickled onions in and you’re aces! The workers here are so welcoming and nice it makes for a nice environment when it’s slow or even if it is a little busy when you show up.Parking: Be careful when approaching the restaurant, you can easily end up in the neighboring restaurant’s lot if you overshoot the entrance to this one. Parking can be limited especially since they share a small lot with other business, those being of the car variety meaning they park them outside for repair.“

“Was in the mood for a torta. I've driven by this place and I've always wanted to try the food so today was the day. Let me tell you that they didn't disappoint. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a carne asada torta. The guy at the counter recommended those two for me but he also said that everything on the menu was good. I wouldn't doubt it. By the time I left this place was packed with people. They have some good music and it was a small place with a few tables inside. The asada was really good and the green chile was very tasty. I ordered some aguas frescas and they were really refreshing.“

Wife was very welcoming and offered suggestions. We were not disappointed. Ordered the quesa Birria tacos and potato tacos. Both were made fresh with good flavor. Quesa Birria tacos included consome. Location is tiny but they offer outdoor seating. Parking is located at the back of restaurant. Also keep in mind location is cash only! Will be back in future to try other items.“

“Husband and I wanted to try a new menudo place in town so that is all we had here. Food was good, we gave the menudo a 7.3 rating out of 10. Cilantro, onion, oregano, chile de árbol, and 1/4 lime was provided with our food. We like lots of lime in our menudo so I did ask for more and was given much more lime without hesitation. I'm used to menudo that does not have hominy as that's how I grew up eating it; however, my husband neeeeeds his hominy lol. They didn't ask if we wanted it with or without hominy so not sure if they offer it with it. The place was clean and we felt the prices were good, but overall, wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.“
