I ordered Shoyu Ramen, Tonkatsu Ramen, Caterphillar Roll and California Roll. The two rolls are very small portion. The Ramen soup base is MSG plus water. Very tasteless. The two pork chashu are very thin. Not worth the money to go there anymore. Has the cook put the heart to the pork based soup? Thank you.

When we venture into that area, Akebono is a tried and true place for dinner. The place is much larger than it seems; there is a back room with lots of tables for larger groups -- a VERY big plus for our family. The menu has many options, so everyone is bound to find something to their liking. We've tried a variety of things there -- from bento boxes, to curries, to appetizers, to sushi.... What a large number of choices! Haven't had a dud in the lot. Well... the takayoki was just "eh" but I haven't found any local places that make it like I want. Yes, some dishes are definitely better than others, but this place gets points for consistency. Prices are a bit hefty, but the quality of food and portion size make it WORTH IT! (And that is saying something for frugal me)! LOL It can get crowded here and the waiting line can look quite daunting. We've always had a relatively short wait to get a table as well as getting our food after we order. It's been my experience that the staff usually does a STELLAR job in serving large groups in a timely and helpful manner. It's no minor thing to keep a bunch of hangry sorts happy, you know?! Overall, we give it a thumbs up. I've GOT to remember to take photos of some of the dishes! Every time we go, the food is devoured before I remember that others might like visuals. LOL

Terrible service, waited 50 minutes and they seated multiple tables that came in after me and my family. Also had like 4 tables open and had a waiting line‍..

Came here for the first time, just a random find but the food was pretty good. I got the beef teriyaki and I thought it would be sliced thinner, it was pretty thick and tough so it was hard to chew but the flavor was good. Solid place, would come back to try the katsu curry!

Expensive but totally worth it! This is a wait to be seated establishment, you may be offered seating in the front or back room. For this review I was in the back and it was beautiful. Food was delectable and sake was the perfect 21st birthday drink! We got 4 rolls, 1 appetizer and 3 drinks, costing about 110$ Great place for a celebration :) Staff were wonder and kind, with quick service

This is one of our favorite go to places for authentic Japanese food! We come here to celebrate birthdays and most recently a graduation. It's a great place for a date for two or even large parties since they have a large room in the back. The quality of their food and service is top notch. Our family has frequented Akebono since they opened and have never been disappointed.

Sesame chicken was really good as was the rainbow roll. Teri beef was a little tough but tasty. A bit pricier than other japanese restaurants in the area, but servings were pretty big so we had two meals with leftovers ?.Parking: We were dining early so there was plenty of spaces. That lot can get pretty full during the day, but street parking is close too.

So this is my 2nd time visiting this place, and again it was amazing. The food is fresh, delicious and flavorful. I came on a Saturday afternoon there was a lot of people. The yakisoba was delicious and heavy portion. Champon noodle was so good. The employees are nice and I appreciated that. As far as the price, it’s reasonable price.

What a great local spot for a delicious array of food. The menu provides many options, from sushi to ramen, to curry dishes. The environment is simple, clean and inviting. Great service and yummy flavors across the board. We will definitely be back here to try out different parts of the menu.

My first time eating at Akebono. My granddaughter was hungry, and it was next to Oto's. We shared 3 rolls, and she also ordered Tonkatsu Ramen. In the picture, Caterpillar Roll (left), Lemon Blossom (middle), and Dragon Roll (right). Service was excellent. Rolls tasted great.

Great customer service. Love the artwork and ambiance in restaurant. Delicious avocado and cucumber rolls, the vegetarian Ramen was so flavorful and delicious, it hit the spot! Large servings, lots of open tables and seats.
