probably the best mexican food ive had in the sacramento area. they had a unique menu not found at other mexican restaurants. the huitlacoche quesadillas and mamey sapote shake were amazing. everything was made without cutting any corners.

The people here are very nice. The burritos are very good with a fantastic portioning of meat and ingredients and perfectly cooked beans, by far the most consistent and traditional burrito I have had in years. The tacos were also very good with limes included. The complimentary salsa was good and tasted homemade and flavorful. I highly recommend this place especially if you're someone who's tired of all the generic uninspired Mexican food around Sacramento, this establishment will be a breath of fresh air and a taste of great food.

Lalo's, a hidden gem, surprises with its outstanding Mexican cuisine. The unassuming exterior belies the exceptional dining experience within. Welcomed promptly upon arrival, we were given the freedom to choose our seats. The service was swift, with our orders promptly taken. I opted for the chile relleno, which surpassed all expectations - not overly fried, and the accompanying sauce was impeccable. The pastor and buche tacos were generously filled and deliciously juicy. My husband enjoyed a sizable wet burrito, and the portion sizes were impressively generous. The horchata struck the perfect balance - not overly sweet, yet delightfully flavorful. Remarkably, all this culinary excellence comes at an affordable price.

We got a side of rice and beans, tacos (asada and pastor were my favorites), and horchata. I highly recommend everything I ordered. The service was fast and friendly, and it there are a lot of large tables inside. They have a parking lot but there is also a residential street you can park on. I will definitely come back to try other things.

The food is delicious...we just had to wait a long time for the food to not be served. Everything else is very good and recommended.
This is by far one of my fave mexican restaurants. Very traditional food, always reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Highly recommend the torta de milanesa, molcajete and red enchiladas. Barbacoa is available weekends only and also delicious!

Good food but for the price you'd think I would get more than 12 tortillas when I ordered 3lbs of meat & 3
