Gem of a bakery. You can find Japanese classic baked goods such as an pan(red bean bread) and green tea bread along with western baking. They really do everything so well! I was very overwhelmed with the vast selection. But the staff was patient and offered suggestions that really helped. Now let's talk food. I went overboard. I got: Classic An Pan which is sweet red bean bread. It's got generous amount of red beans so good! Strawberry red bean cream bread. Omg this one! The cream is light and milky along with sweet read bean and a pillowy soft bread! Chefs kiss! Green tea Kobe cream bread. Bread is sooo soft and the green tea custard is a perfect compliment. Blueberry cream cheese danish is flaky, sweet and creamy. Croissant is buttery but doesn't feel heavy. Maybe not like the best croissant in the world but really good and comforting. Ham and cheese croissant is savory and cheesy and so good too. The place is small but the ordering process is very efficient so you don't have to worry about waiting too long. Love the cozy vibes. I will be back for more!

The best cream cheese-filled pastries in town! The people are also very friendly and tend to remember you. Come early because they close early, and their pastries don't last long.

Really nice Japanese style bakery. Pretty much everyone in Sacramento knows of it and for good reason.I’d recommend the Chocolate Hat It’s a plain bun topped with the equivalent of Japanese streusel and then coated with a thin chocolate shell. It pairs very well with a cup of coffee. The Matcha Sunrise is also pretty good, it’s the same thing but without the chocolate and with matcha.

I love this place! The hot dog is my favorite item to get. It's more of a sweet sausage than an actual hot dog. The bacon and egg is also good. The desserts are ok. They're not that sweet but if you like Asian desserts then you'll like these. The lemon and cream one is my favorite. Come early. They sell out fast.

Came here to buy the lemon squares or what they call lemon cream pie. First off the prices have gone up which is to be expected in this economic climate. Secondly the selection I saw was not uniform in size. In fact, in my opinion, the squares shrank. So, I told the rep which ones I wanted. He said I cannot pick and choose. So, I told him thank you and I left. Not returning to this bakery. Lastly, I personally don't think their pastries are that good. But in my opinion I think they do a great job on the flaky pastries like the Lemon Squares and the one with the Custard filling which are the ones I like and mainly buy. But if you're not going to let me pick which ones I want and still charge me the same, that's fine, I would just end up going somewhere else who makes them just as good or better--including my own personal kitchen. Bakery and restaurants are not a need just a want. And people like myself can adjust quickly.

A cute little bakery shop with very soft n delicate Japanese bun pastries and I very much liked the green tea (matcha?) cream puffs. The staff were nice and service was fast and it's about $2-4 per pastry. You'll have to try them to get the full effect but the buns have a wonderful soft structure with a nice fermented dough aroma, with a delicious airy cream center.
We came here with recommendations of friends and this place doesn't disappear us at all! Around noon, this place has constant long line for people to order. The staff was pretty efficient, just their popularity that results in the busy environment. The buns are so soft and we really like the plain buns. Not too much interest on the crème but it's an interesting experience. Also the buns offered here are not expensive at all. this place locates near a japanese markets

Customer service cool. I'm not really a big sweets person, but just had the urge today. Tried 3 different pastries. The bacon & egg one was useless. Idk why I got it, just wanted something a little savory. The one with the strawberry was just okay. I enjoyed the third one the most. I'm glad other people enjoy it as much as they do, but it's one & done type place for me.

Not a good experience. My first time here. They didn't allow me to pick a warm fresh one, (the teriyaki meatball).. it seems like u can't pick the one you want. They wanted me to take the not so fresh probably sitting there since 7am it's 10am rn. They had to follow policies and even I did get the one they picked and can't even warm it up. I was passing by heard them thru social media. So of. Course I don't have anywhere to heat it up. This is crazy , 1st you can't pick what u want and 2ndly they don't warm it up ?♀️?♀️I don't like this place!!
