“I have eaten here twice recently, on a Friday night and for Sunday brunch. Both meals were excellent. They have great fresh chips served with a variety of salsa, all of which are tasty. I am super picky when it comes to Mexican food but love this place. The service is great and its super cute. I highly recommend Centro to you.“

We decided to give it a try, and the service was excellent—helpful and attentive staff. I sampled four different tacos, all of which were delicious, and the margaritas were fresh and flavorful. Overall, we had a great time, and I’d consider returning to explore more of the menu.“

“Excellent every time! A family favorite of ours. The new owners are just as wonderful as the old owners and there’s always a genuinely warm greeting when we come in. The food is amazing. It’s one of the few places where you can confidently say everything on the menu is great. I wish they took cards, but I understand why they likely don’t, but really it doesn’t matter in a place as good as this.“

“Came to Chevys for Happy Hour and stayed for dinner. Antonio was one of the best servers I’ve had there. He met all of our anticipated needs without asking. The restaurant was busy, but he made you feel you were his only table! This was a direct reflection on management- Manager Dawn was pitching in and assisting all while with a smile on her face. She was attentive, professional, and courteous. Highly recommend Chevys! Ask for Antonio’s section, you won’t be disappointed!“

“This place is armed to the bone with security. Follow the smell of chicharrones (fried pork things). The food place that serves it will have very low prices for traditional Mexican fare. I paid $3.25 for a chicken burrito and it was poached chicken with rice and refried beans. They did not add anything else so be prepared for that. I paid $13 for the same thing somewhere else in sac for chicken stew inside of the burrito so that’s 75% cheaper to order it here… that being said the lines are out the door and long. I waited almost 20 min to place my order and retrieve it. Make sure to ask them for salsa with your order after you get it too. They’ll gladly hand it to you.

Parking: Be kind to the homeless nearby. Really annoyed I saw people giving dirty looks to the guy that was parking his bike and was hauling a cart. Mind your business. That could be you one day you low life pos.“

“Wow it's been 20 yrs. Since my dad passed. We no longer have Luis's which I'm sry I grew up with and loved. So we go for some authentic mexican. We had crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas. And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.“

“The ratings do this place justice. It is tried, tested, and well deserved. Even my spanish friends who barely speak english know of it and highly recommend it and it's regarded as the best Mexican food restaurant in the greater Sacramento area by a lot of people that I know. I only go for the food but they have a full bar and lot's of tv's. The food is the best part, as it should be in any restaurant; it's why we go. It's taco truck level quality with the whole restaurant experience and when I say taco truck quality food I mean that level of quality you'd expect from a single person who's worked on the same equipment for decades. It's clean, has bathrooms, really nice employees and that special mucho beuno absolutely bomb food. The menu is huge! And honestly, the bigger and more complex menu a restaurant has, typically, the lower quality food you'll find there but this place is the exception to that rule. Go there, try it, and then you'll know.

Parking: Plenty of parking although I wouldn't be surprised if the lot was full seeing how good this place is. If so, easily park on the other side of northgate.

Wheelchair accessibility: I can't see why a wheelchair user couldn't get to it. Wide open and level, flat sidewalk out front.“

“The Real Deal is OMG Cocina which has one excellent taco on the menu. I have been here twice both times did taco tastings. The real hero is the shrimp tacos with an awesome paired salsa. The shrimp is hand breaded and fried to perfection! I give the shrimp tacos a 10/10. I tried the carne asada which is normally my favorite meat of choice, there asada lack flavor even salt, 5 out 10 on those. The carnitas were ok, they left me wanting something else, 6/10. The service is order at register then it is serviced at your table. The atmosphere is rustic with inside and outside seating. Overall if in the area this is a place to try next time I will stick with the hero shrimp taco and coupled with something new. I will keep you posted!“

Vegetarian options: Taco options without meat, pretty sure almost everything can be ordered without meat. Salsa is THE BEST!“

“I’ve been lucky enough to have seen this taqueria from the first day they opened, in Campbell, Ca. which was the original location prior to moving to the Sacramento area. The food is prepared by a family who pours just the right amount of love into each dish. For me, I fell in love with the food the first day, then I fell in love with the family. Mom, Dad, Sons, and Sister(their daughter always called me brother and I called her sister❤️) all knew me by first name basis. I’d take orders from the business located in our complex and order 10 burritos at a time and always left with a free burrito for myself. I gained over 50lbs eating their food because it was the best around. Over the past 25-30years they’ve been in business, I’ve made the trek to Sacramento to see the family and eat their amazing food multiple times. “Every time I drive up from Modesto and go to my friend Karin's house, I make it a priority to stop and get Chita's GREAT Mexican food!!! Of all the different Mexican Restaurants/Taquerias places I've tried, Chita's is one of my favorites. The service has always been great. The people who work here have always been very friendly and seem to appreciate my business. Their prices are not more then the average of all the other taquerias, even lower with some dishes. I totally recommend if you're in midtown Sacramento, you have to come and try this place. (What's not on the list below of food to recommend, I recommend the Enchilada (cheese an/or shredded beef ) combo plate.)“

“My family and I have had the most wonderful experiences at Vallejo's. The atmosphere for dining is one of the best. The staff are so kind, and the owners go out of their way to speak to their customers. When my father passed away in 2018, the Vallejo's family surprised us with catering at his funeral. They fed over 500 people, and didn't charge our family one penny for the food. They have also catered for various family functions, including graduation events. The food is amazing and is definitely worth trying.“
