Uncle and I were VERY IMPRESSED. TOP MARKS ACROSS THE BOARD. Place may have ruined Scallops for me...for life. Aquired knowledge of a Bailey's replacement from South Africa via Jacob our bartender. ( Really Hope I Remembered Name Right) Only wish my last name was associated with a higher tax bracket, so I could go every other day! It IS WORTH IT! THESE DAYS???? HOW MANY THINGS CAN YOU SAY THAT ABOUT?

I was really surprised that this restaurant was not completely packed when we were there. It was a beautiful restaurant, the service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I think Sacramento is sleeping on this restaurant. If you haven't gone... Go.

Great birthday dinner! We had delicious scallops and Acqua Panna (fish and shellfish in a spicy broth). The bread snd cocktails and desserts were also wonderful. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Dined there for lunch. Very tasty soup and salads but the wine prices are over the top. The menu prices are reasonable, but a glass of wine (not top end) is priced equal to the meal. We know wines, and and their prices are well above the norm.

I had a lunch meeting here today & the service was great. Our waiter was Brian and he was very polite and gave good service.

Our server Michael was fantastic, courteous, accommodating, and check on us frequently. All staffs were constantly working on filling up water, drinks, picking up dirty dishes and etc. our first time here, don’t know why? Perhaps because I avoid down town. But definitely will be back. Ella was overbooked so we decided to try another location as normally I avoid down town. However, we have no regret and were very pleased.Had a great night.Vegetarian options: Waterman option on menusDietary restrictions: Accommodate Gluten Free & Dairy Free guest

Prelude was a lovely dining experience. We were celebrating a birthday, and the hostess brought a sweet flower arrangement for the BD Girl. The booths are particularly nice as they have high sides which makes them feel more intimate. If you prefer, they also have high tops and tables to accommodate a large group. The menu covered all major protein options - we dined on Short Ribs with polenta which was terrific. The salads and dessert were also good. A highlight of the evening was our server, Ashley. She was sociable, friendly, and extremely professional. Thank you to the staff at Prelude for a memorable dining experience!

Service was fantastic all around, but our server, Michael, was exceptional. The quality of food was also excellent. The only negative I can say is that the mixed drinks are over-priced. $20 for a drink is ridiculous. We're not in downtown LA or NY. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience at Prelude.

Food was not good. Expected a better experience based on photos, reviews and limited menu. Made a reservation and was sat in the bar where our server was also the bartender. He was very personable and friendly but for the price, it wasn't the experience I expected. The salads were short of terrible, almost choked on the kale, so rough and dry. Salad was a F, chicken C and rissoto B+. Disappointing but has promise if they can tighten it up.

Luke was absolutely Amazing ? He was so attentive and kind. He made my career anniversary special. My sever Devin was also great. I had the best seat in the house and all my pics came out phenomenal ?

Service was impeccable. Food was just ok. Ordered the rib eye and they offered me the "special" dry aged rib eye. It was clear that this was an old steak they were trying to get rid of. It was too tough and dry to be a $70 rib eye steak. Not a bad practice, but should come at a discount. The steak is the most expensive item they have. Too expensive for substitutions like this. If you go, make sure to specify you want a fresh steak.
