It's an ok space. The door was locked when we got there, but people were seated inside. Something about homeless or covid was given as a reason on the door. The cocktail was average. Ordered a Manhattan, which they shook instead of stirred, then served with the ice shards from shaking still floating on the top. Pretty unexciting drink. The appetizers were disappointing. Got the Belgian fries and the Cesar salad. The fries, despite claiming a second fry, were universally limp. The dipping sauce was really good, but they charged you $1 per ramekin, and they barely put a tablespoon in it. The $1 was a surprise addition to the bill, and while good, definitely not worth it. The Cesar flavor was good, but the dressing was sparse and the lettuce was wilted. Not a winner. The risotto was a show stealer though. Absolutely phenomenal, and possibly the best risotto I've had in Sacramento. The scallops on top her wlexcellent as well, though it appears we got roughly 2.2 scallops, and they added nearly $20 to the bill. Insane up-charge, the meal almost doubled in price for 2.2 scallops. The salmon was ok. The glaze was good, but the filet was unevenly cooked. The plating was disappointing, with just a small size of jumbled up spinach (tasted ok, looked terrible) on a bed of rice (shockingly mushy and inedible). Overall, disappointing. The portion sizes, except for the French fries (but not the dipping sauce) were all underwhelming. That or the plates were significantly too big. The risotto didn't even fill up the bottom of the serving dish.Overall review, decent place but only the risotto was worth the money, everything else was overpriced. Even the scallops on top of the risotto were overpriced.

Nestled in the heart of Sacramento, this hidden gem of a restaurant has consistently stolen our hearts with its exceptional offerings. Boasting a seasonal menu that celebrates the freshest farm-to-fork ingredients, each visit is a delightful journey through the finest flavors. The culinary team's prowess shines through in every dish, but the standout for me has to be the seasonal scallops over risotto. The innovative twist of changing the risotto with each season adds an element of surprise, making it a tough task to choose a favorite. Yet, somehow, each rendition manages to surpass the previous, leaving a lasting impression of culinary excellence. The intimate ambiance of the restaurant sets the perfect stage for a romantic evening. Dim lighting, cozy corners, and window view create an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and inviting. It's no wonder that this has become our go-to choice for elevated date nights. Moreover, when we have guests in town, it's the first place we want to showcase - a testament to the restaurant's universal appeal. What truly sets this establishment apart is the extraordinary service. The warm welcome from the moment we step through the door, orchestrated by the owner and his attentive staff, is unparalleled. The personal touch, as the owner takes the time to walk through and greet each table, adds a special charm. It's this level of commitment to customer experience that transforms a meal into an unforgettable dining event. In a city filled with dining options, this restaurant stands out not only for its delectable cuisine but also for the complete experience it offers. For those seeking a perfect blend of seasonal delicious cuisine, intimate ambiance, and impeccable service, this culinary haven remains unmatched. Each visit feels like a celebration, making it a top choice for creating lasting memories.

My son was in town for the holidays, so I wanted to have him experience the fantastic [email protected] the start, my son noticed our table liason Ben's eye for detail. His attention to calling us each by our first name made everyone feel like family. The owner, Dan, always comes by our table, checking on us, welcoming us to his restaurant and providing his broad wine knowledge.Ken, the chief, was gracious and kind to check on us to make sure that our meals were exactly how we hoped they would be.From the start of the evening, through the last course, my family was thoroughly treated like valuable people.Thank you to Dan, Ben, Ken, Jordan, and all of the fantastic people@tablevine!We will return, very soon

If you are visiting Sacramento this is a MUST try. This chef owned and operated restaurant is a slice of heaven. The wine list is great. The food is AMAZING. Chef changes the menu seasonally. I had the beef rib with prunes over couscous. The appetizer you must try his Brussel sprouts and save room for dessert. His crème brûlée is a true masterpiece. Quaint place with a full cocktail list also. I would come back to Sacramento just to eat here!

Great service and delicious food. This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague who knew I was in Sacramento and had been a couple years ago. I ordered a salad for starters, which may have been my favorite part of the meal. The fried chicken was unique from any chicken I had ever tasted. Crispy skin and beautifully tender meat. Once I started, I couldn't stop eating it. The mushroom bread pudding was good, though I was a little disappointed it didn't have more seasoning to add flavor. The service was professional and consistently met my needs without being overbearing.

We came for an intimate birthday dinner for my husband. We came for the duck and it was wonderful, my husband described it as, " the best he ever had"!!! Thank you for a perfect evening and ? celebration.Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and they beautifully and thoughtfully provided perfect gluten-free options including substitutions so I could have the heavenly duck breast.

If you are looking for an amazing dining experience.. visit tablevine. As soon as you enter tablevine, your experience begins. This service is impeccable. I have lived most my life on the east coast and I love seafood. I ordered the risotto and seared scallops and they were the best I have ever had. The scallops were done to perfection. The dessert menu is so yummy ?. I had creme Brule and it was awesome. Thanks so much tablevine for having us. Sorry for no pics ..the food was so great I forgot to take pictures.

Great experience! Everything we ordered tasted great.Duck confit was delicious, they did a good job making it tasty. Love the rich nonfat texture, pumpkin purée was wonderful!Clam chowder was also good, creamy, no flour added, with right amount of baby clams.Short rib beef, big size, juicy, nice veggies. The desserts are all good! Excellent service, our guy Benjamin did a fantastic job, he greeted us at the door, opened the door, walked us to our table, pulled the chairs, told us the specials, made us feel welcomed and cared. We also enjoyed petting the cute dog! And the price is very good for the good quality and excellent service.
