“Amazing pho and I appreciate that they take a student discount for Sacramento State students. My friend and I used to go to other pho places that would be very busy and would forget requests that we would have, but this location would be very attentive and remember if we had asked for more water, limes, etc. I love the calm vibe and it is so relaxing after a long day at work.“

When we arrived, it was fairly crowded, but we managed to place our order at the register and snag a seat inside. Unfortunately, having arrived later in the day, all of the hot and cold to-go items were sold out.

I decided to try the chicken pho from their made-to-order menu. My friend ordered the spam fried rice. The food came out relatively quickly, and you can tell that it is absolutely made with the utmost care, love, and highest quality of ingredients.

This was hands-down some of the best chicken pho I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back to Southside Super, especially earlier in the day to try some of their grab and go items, as well as more of their menu.“

“I've been coming here since their old location since 2002. I come for the food, and the sense that these are my "aunties" making the food. I don't know another place that sells pork belly banh mi, but here. If there is, I doubt it would fill up the sandwich as much as they do here. The duck salad and lotus root salad is so refreshing too!“

“Pho City is hands down the best Vietnamese Pho sopt in the greater Sacramento area. It's not just a cool restaurant to dine in, it's great if you want to take away your food as well. The beef pho is the best dish in my opinion, but the chicken soup/pho is just as good. The egg rolls are exceptional. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I recommend to you figure out there. One minor knock is that it is the most excitement pho in Sacramento. But, it's worth every cent.“

“Came into this place on a whim but glad I did, because not only was the food great (and the prices were affordable) but it is family owned, for 35 years and it felt like stopping in to see an old friend-the server (owners son) was so delightfully fun to chat with and patiently helped me make the right choice as to what to try (I got the Com Chien/fried rice). Can't wait to go back and try the Cha Ca La Vong, and Bun Cha Dong Xuan which is their most popular dish. Also, ask about the Stockton Blvd. Passport that gets you 10% off. “Been supporting this place most of my teens and college years, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a lot of variety such as , pho , Banh Mi , snacks , drinks and anyone looking for ready to go food. Come early sometimes lines can be long. Expect delays too , sometimes they are short staff and get help from security which really is a great help to them.“

“Wonderful food order Beef rib pho even though there is little mix up but they fix it right away and even give us a beef ribs as a comp and Combination pho and had great customer service and very friendly. “10/12/2021 Recommend? Yes. Let's get straight to the point: BEST VEGAN BUN BO HUE. That's it. I'm Vietnamese and since my vegan journey of more than 2 years I haven't been able to find a satisfactory bun bo hue. My favorite ones ever have always been in Viet Nam at a little stall in the market or the neighborhood house that makes it to sell. Here I ordered bun bo hue and cha gio. Do take my review with a grain of salt because I had been hungry for daysssss, well really just 1 day because I was on a train. Lol. The bun bo hue here comes with a paste and you should definitely add it to your bowl. It has banana blossom as a veggie to add, but in addition to that I would also love some morning glory. The broth was well seasoned and not overly sweet like a lot of over bun bo hue and the mushrooms, tofu, and "meats" have well absorbed the flavor of the broth too. The cha gio (eggrolls, spring rolls) were fine. I didn't hate it, but I didn't think they were extra great either.“

“My favorite place to get a nice bowl of noodles. The chicken noodle is delicious. I love my mom's chicken noodle but when I'm looking for more flavor, this is where I go. No disrespect mom. It feels healthy and tasty. The why noodle is nice and soft and the chicken has flavor. The broth is flavorful while feeling clean. And the ginger sauce is my favorite. It's also one of the more affordable places to get food.“

We got banh hoi with pork and mi quang. Wanted banh xeo but sold out, wish we got banh beo as well.
Mi quang noodles weren't super strong turmeric flavor and the texture was just ok, but gave a lot of meat and fair value. Everything was hot and filling.“

“I had a great experience here. My friend loved the pho and I enjoyed the fresh rolls (GREAT peanut sauce) and tomato & tofu. There was some confusion bc of the language barrier but we ended up getting some free and very tasty soft tofu pudding. I want to go back soon to try the “egg” rolls and get noodles. I forgot cash so I had to go to the atm at the store across the parking lot. Everyone who worked there was so nice to us too!“

Whenever I can get out there, I always order my favorite combination rice noodle soup and it never disappoints. Prices have gone up, but it has to keep up with inflation I guess. We shared the broccoli beef, chicken fried rice, and chicken egg drop soup.

The broccoli beef was phenomenal! In addition to the broccoli, we noticed bok choy, carrots, baby corn, and onion in the mix, which all perfectly complimented the dish. The sauce was delicious.

The chicken fried rice was really good - a pretty basic dish, but we enjoyed it a lot. Some places use vegetables cut larger than I like, but these were a good size.

The soup was also really good. My only issue was there was a LOT of tofu, which I can't eat much of due to a minor allergy, but I was able to just pick the pieces out. The broth itself was amazing.“
