“3 shrimp Tacos were excellent. Ample guacamole, sour cream, sautéed onions and peppers.
Presentation of wood bowl was great.

The salsa was Hot with the chips.

“I love the food at Los Grullenses. My go to order is the pastor quesadilla and a large of beans and rice. I can make three meals out of this order. But, if I’m honest, I really make the drive over from Monterey for their green salsa. It is sooo good. The atmosphere isn’t the best so I get my food to go.

The constant struggle is the salsa. I’m not quite sure what the deal is. They make you pay for salsa, which I’m grouchy about but it’s my favorite so I’m willing to pay. The order for salsa is literally called “4 salsas” and the menu photo shows 4 tiny containers of salsa. Despite ordering it, I almost never get this in my to-go bag, sometimes it’s 2 or 3 tiny containers but rarely 4. So then I have to ask and I hate having to ask because I am paying for it, it’s part of my order, it shouldn’t be so hard. And I order via DoorDash takeaway so there is no room for a language barrier, it’s as plain as day: 4 salsas.

I will continue to go and recommend LG but make sure you check your orders before leaving. Would definitely be 5 star for me if this wasn’t such a consistent issue.“

“Bacon Breakfast burrito is dang good! Loved the beans. Didn't like the salsa. Didn't have flavor. Torta carne asada was not great. The meat was chopped up so tiny. And it has lettuce and tomato.. not much going on. The bread was good. The food took awhile..but that didn't bother us. It means they were actually cooking it.
This store is clean and has a lot going on. TVs to watch while you eat. Tons of drinks and Liquor and even non alcoholic. Snacks, chips, candy, and things. Very cool little store.. customer service was good. I'd definitely go back.“

“Made with love! This is definitely a go to for me in Salinas. Not my first time going but the first time I’ve felt the NEED to let other people know about a food spot. If you want homemade tortillas, good cuts of meat and awesome service this is the spot! Ps. I’m picky when it comes to taco trucks so if you are too this one won’t disappoint.“

We were then serenaded by Taka Taka’s, which set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our meal was a delicious molcajete served with homemade corn tortillas, and then came the biggest surprise of the night: Mexican karaoke. We even saw no less than 4 different ladies selling flowers. “I go here for Caldo de res, and imo they have the best fried breaded chicken around. Their Menudo broth is a little fattier Mama Lupitas and Fish n Chips but comes with more than just tripe which I love, and its available regularly everyday. The lady at the register is always super nice and service is always quick. Prices are very fair for what you get.“

“Delicious food, they are very welcoming, if there is something wrong with the order they don’t hesitate to fix it. We come here often. I usually order a quesabirria or quesadilla. My daughter loves the sopes and tacos. My husband likes their asada burrito. I’ve had many of their plates and they’re all good. They also have Taco Tuesday. My dad’s favorite. Their food trucks are also good. One thing I do recommend is that they make more aguas frescas since they run out quick every time I go to the restaurant they’re out.

“I love El Pollo Loco. I eat at El Pollo Loco everywhere I go. I live in the Hayward area, and they get a LOT of my business. I highly recommend it. The chicken is grilled, not fried, and is not greasy. Put it together with the ingredients they use, such as Mexican style rice and beans and you've got a delicious, satisfying meal.
