“This is the only Chinese food I eat in San Rafael. Sometimes, I crave it. Their shrimp fried rice, and chicken chow mein is the best I've tasted since I was a kid. That real authentic taste. Plus, I don't have to worry about peas and carrots in my fried rice (that's a no-no). Their rice is full of flavor. You know it when you see it because it's not white with stuff mixed in. I absolutely love this place. It's in the next city over but it's worth it...”

“Matt’s restaurant has been consistently excellent for the last 27 years! We’ve been away awhile and returned to his restaurant recently to amazing results. The guacamole and black salsa is wonderful. The jackfruit tacos were over the top! The Jane salad and lemonade were as expected: delicious. Love the new model of ordering upon arrival and seating oneself. Relaxed and casual. Service was SO fast!! Keep up the great work, Matt! Can’t wait to return!

“We had birria tacos for the first time and can’t wait to go back for more. They have a very extensive menu with something for everyone. I love that they have a salsa bar and chips you can get yourself. Great service and plenty of parking. Highly recommend.”

“The staff at this Subway are awesome. I came in at 9:30pm to order 17 six-inch subs for a student field trip, not realizing the store closed at 10pm (online it said it was open until 1am). Adrienne the girl at the counter was soooo nice to agree to make all the sandwiches, which ended up making her clock out late. She saved the day! The field trip with the kids was a hit and they loved their sandwiches.After I left I realized I accidentally left my credit card in the card reader (tired teacher). Alex F the morning guy kept my card safe for pick up after I got off work. You just don't find kind, honest, and hardworking people like Adrienne and Alex that often anymore.I believe the manager's name is Mr. Sunil.If you read this Sunil, you have two superstar employees working for you! I hope they get some recognition and promotions. They were just wonderful.I highly recommend this Subway to anyone who loves great service, kind people, and delicious food.”

“The best Chinese take out in the area. Great food, great portions, owner has worked there a long time and always treats her customers well. It is a steam table restaurant, so not a fancy/sit down atmosphere, but the food is consistently delicious and the service is very fast. My personal favorites are the fried rice, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork, however everything I have tried on the menu has been good. I highly recommend them if you are visiting and need a quick bite, and if you are a local who has never been, you are missing out!”

“A must go to place. We went because of the chicken pot pies that are famous everywhere within 50 miles of here. We arrived at 10:20 and was told the pies are in the oven come back at 11. No problem for us. We bought two hot chicken pot pies, one bbq beef pie, one lemon bar and a shortbread cookie. Got to our car and ate the cookie. Went right back to the bakery and bought four more. The chicken pot pie was wonderful. Delicious crust, perfect sauce, high quality chicken and lots of peas, carrots and potatoes. The pork pie was perfect as well. Go here and try for yourself. Very reasonable prices and the people are wonderful. Yummy yummy.”

“Stefano's is our favorite work night pizza place! Thursday us pizza night at our house, and we stop by for quick slices and salad. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also fun to listen to Brazilian Portuguese being spoken. All I can say is "Obregado!"”

“I’ve been coming here for years because they have one of the very best ham and cheese croissants in Marin county and also an excellent mocha that is not too sweet. But today I tried the California Benedict for the first time and was amazed. Not only does it taste great but the presentation is gorgeous And for $16.50 it’s a pretty good deal.”
