“Only had a couple of soups, but they were both OUTSTANDING! The wonton was chock full of wontons and veggies with broth that was flavorful but not too salty. The Hot and Sour was both--actually spicy enough that it left my face flushed (and that's a compliment!) and sour enough to balance the spice. It's also a bargain at less than $8 for a quart. Will be back often!“

“I've had a very tough emotional few days and I called in at closing to ask if they'd still take an order - I was fully expecting to be told no. Much to my surprise the woman I spoke to kindly said yes without hesitation. One thing - chicken chow fun. My order was piping hot with plenty of flavor and salt just as I'd hoped. Chewy noodles amongst, tender chicken and crunchy cabbage. Excellent. The food was good but the woman who was so kind as to take that order deserves a 10/10 in my book. That small act of kindness did so much more than you even know -- thank you!“

“Let me start by saying - my friends and I LOVE lams - not only for the food, but the owners as well. She truly makes you feel appreciated and like family - she is always so sweet and so patient - one time we waited outside for our food, and she walked it out to us - she always goes above and beyond. Now for the food - CANT beat the lunch special AND the dumplings. We love the side soup it comes with - portions are big and always fulfilling. Please support this mom and pop. “My family and I have been coming to Yu Shang for 20+ years. The main staff are amazing. know us by name, and as we almost always get the same thing, remember our orders. Though are great with recommendations if we do want to try anything new. The restaurant itself has definitely seen better days, but it never feels like you have to rush when there. You catch up with the staff and enjoy a nice meal. Though it is a bit on the more expensive side, we think it's worth it. We go for special occasions or just when we miss the food. We usually get the mixed tempura, sizzling rice soup, curry chicken with mushrooms and broccoli, oyster sauce beef with mixed vegetables and a sizzling shrimp and mixed vegetables plate. 10% of the time, they might be inconsistent but not usually when dining in. Though be careful when ordering out. They're are consistently short with their portions when ordering out.“

We have been customers for over 15 years and counting. Favorites include Mongolian Beef, String bean fish, eggplant chicken, salt and pepper shrimp. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is lots to explore on a menu that highlights fresh ingredients including organic produce. While bummed that my favorite Chinese restaurant doesn't deliver to this side of town, I was happy to learn that Green Bamboo does, and it's still family owned and operated; including DELIVERY! I'd started my order via Yelp, but the price was outrageous, so I called the restaurant, and the owner told me she does deliver and even mentioned some of my neighbors who she delivers to! I haven't been to the restaurant in many years, but used to eat at Green Bamboo many years ago. I kept it simple, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable rice and spring rolls. The sween and sour chicken was not to my liking, there was a metalic taste to the sauce and pineapple, and it was not as crispy as I like. The vegetable fried rice was delicious! There were a lot of good sized pieces of veggies in the rice and it was flavorful. The spring rolls were crispy and the filling was fresh and delicious! The bonus fifth star is because they personally deliver your food, it's not a second or third party/business. The owner was so kind when she arrived, she wore a mask (I appreciate covid or any health safety practices from restaurants or delivery people) and she recognized me from years ago. Great customer service and I'll order again.“

This review is based off pickup but every lunch plate to go has been consistently good. Comes with fried rice and noodles and choice of main entree. “This spot's Chinese food is my go-to remedy for homesickness. Coming from New York, it's the closest I've found here that reminds me of home. San Francisco has fantastic Chinese food, but it's a whole different vibe from what I grew up with. The idea of not being provided duck sauce is insane! I've gotten over it. “This was my first visit to dine in here. I have gotten take away several times and it was always good. Today I went with a colleague we had pot stickers, Won Ton Soup and Shrimp and vegetables. Everything was delicious, the pot stickers were the largest I have ever had and tasted home made. The soup and shrimp dish were both very good. We will be back again. The food is fresh off the fire and while aeathetically pleasing it is absolutely delicious. My favorite is their Sweet & Sour Prawns and the Beef Brocoli. “I usually get the prawns with vegetables in a light garlic sauce and it’s always cooked to perfection. The vegetables are fresh, never overcooked and the shrimp is fresh as well. I get brown rice with it and that’s never mushy or overcooked. Love this place!“
